California Bill of Rights for Children Would Give The State New Powers Over Your Kids

By Vin Armani

“This bill would declare the intent of the Legislature to expand and codify the Bill of Rights for Children and Youth of California to establish a comprehensive framework that governs the rights of all children and youth in California, outlines the research-based essential needs of California’s children, and establishes standards relating to the health, safety, well-being, early childhood and educational opportunities, and familial supports necessary for all children to succeed.”

Vin explains what this could mean for parental rights and liberty in the video below:

Seems like, I recall that aka obama entered into the establishment of a non-parent ‘adult guardian’ that would, in fact, represent the Government’s ownership of a child… over parental rights and/or powers.

    • dale ruff

No one owns a child. Slavery ended 150 years ago. You apparently think you own your children.

You do not. They are human beings with human rights. Your duty is to care for them and protect them. Parent’s do not own their children…nor do any laws establish the right of anyone to own anyone, period.. Slavery ended 150 years ago. “Seems like I recall” is hardly a source. Wake up!

  • dale ruff

The community has an obligation to protect the rights of children, including against their own parents. Each year there are millions of cases of child abuse, and “ndividuals who reported six or more adverse childhood experiences had an average life expectancy two decades shorter than those who reported none. 5

Ischemic heart disease (IHD), Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), liver disease and other health-related quality of life issues are tied to child abuse.”

National Children’s Alliance reports: “In 2014, an estimated 1,564 children died from abuse and neglect in the United States.1 In 2015,

More than 700,000 children are abused in the U.S annually. An estimated 702,000 children (unique incidents) were victims of abuse and neglect in 2014, the most recent year of national data.”

Most abuse is by family members.

I can understand why if you are beating your kids, you resent being stopped by the state. I don’t understand why anyone would object to asserting the rights of all children to be treated with dignity and respect, free of violence or emotional abuse.

The varied history of certain locales and the abuse of police and other authority of the state requires consideration. For example, recently mandated vaccination, which DOES NOT immunize, rather engenders a variety of immune system disorders, it is predictable how the additional removal of parental rights would be misused. Instead of sending uniformed SWAT with weapons drawn to attack vendors of whole milk, SWAT would be sent to gather children who missed an appointment for a forced injection of animal pus and heavy metals, fraudulently called “vaccination.” Similar to the violation of the illegally-declared “sanctuary cities” of Pelosi-Obama-Clinton. Thousands of foreign aliens trained for guerilla warefare can be secretively maintained in such cities, out of sight of the citizenry. For example, the ones being removed from Syria to avoid their mass destruction by Syrian forces. All of them will not fit into Ft. Benning, and Ft. Stewart, Georgia.

    • strawberrytart

It ALWAYS starts for “the Children”.

      • dale ruff

As it should be………….children being defenseless require community protection from abusers, most of whom are parents.

    • you have posted on every reply and created your own, are you a paid troll? your behavior is abnormal to be kind.

  • JoAnn Dolberg

Pure sickness! Anytime a bill removes any of your freedoms (apart from criminality, of course), you need to vote NO. I don’t care who argues what, or how “responsible”-sounding the argument.

    • dale ruff

You do not have the freedom to abuse your children! They do have rights.

      • JoAnn Dolberg

Who said I agree with abusing children???? The parents who believe the scientific evidence between increased cases of autism directly associated with vaccinations ought to be commended. In any case, they do have the right to look after their children as best they know how.

  • ddearborn

    Hmmm

Basically the State of California is attempting to create a Bill of Rights for itself that takes away not just parental rights, but all rights of the people. Good luck with that California.

  • drbhelthi

Since when have California leaders done something worthwhile, other than making an attempt to re-establish the trolley system and legally recognize the healthiness of the singular, most healing herb on the planet, cannabis?
Do the big-city administrators still send SWAT with weapons drawn to farmers who sell fresh, whole milk, to pour out that healthy, liquid nutrition into the gutters?

    • dale ruff

      California leaders have
created the 6th largest economy in the world
the world center of film and high tech
3 straight years of robust job growth and huge surpluses
the cutting edge of social progress, from pot to marriage equality to rational gun laws
a friendly liberal citizenry with a high standard of living and real respect for your precious beauty.

I have lived in California 70 years, and I love it. it is beautiful, the people are creative and liberal, and the economy is booming. Those who live in shitholes often claim California is failing……….sour grapes.

      • awaiting Calexit w/glee.

        • dale ruff

Your taxes would likely go up as California subsidizes red states; for every dollar in taxes to the feds Cali pays, it gets back about 90 cents. The (mostly) Southern states get $3-8 back for every dollar of taxes paid in.

So if Cali goes, your taxes, if you live in a red state, will go up, as we will no longer be allowing you to freeload off of us.

Also lost will be the world’s high tech center, where 60% of venture capital in the US goes to. This will hurt the rest of the US, as investment in new technologies dropos by 60%.

Nor would we be ruled by easily bought rural conservative states like Montana or Wyoming, which have, per voters, 98.5% more voting power, despite having 98.% fewer people.

We would be happy to leave the ugly mess that is the Divided State of America and keep our money at home. We have had 3 straight years of hugh surpluses, which would increase even more if we were not dragged down by the dependent states, almost all of which are Republican.

How happy will you be when they raise your taxes?

          • red….blue…? go ahead and die already. thats the game that got us into this mess. idiot.

          • dale ruff

I repeat: if California left the Union, taxes would rise, investment would fall. Would you like that?

That you resort to gutter sniping means I win.

          • YES I would like that. Some people live by more than dollars and cents. Obviously this would not register w/a complete hack like yourself. Totally brainwashed and incapable of independent thought. S0 brainwashed you don’t even KNOW it, you are a sad case. I would pray for you but it would do little good, after 70 yrs you are a lost cause. Repent, love not the world, and its MATERIAL things.

          • dale ruff

When you resort to personal insults, you lose. How Christian is that?

    A quote by Thomas Jefferson…
“It is the tendency of all governments to encroach on the rights of the people. Limited
constitutions protect those rights, and serve as a line of defense against government
intrusion. Rights that are not specifically identified for protection are not assumed to be
under the jurisdiction of government, however; they are retained by the people and are
exercised as an element of their individual selfgovernance.
in their sovereign capacity.” Our children already have their rights, there are already laws that protect them. This is nothing less than the California govt, who is supposed to be run by the people, to assert that the people are run by the govt., under the guise of protecting our children. If our govt was really trying to protect our children then why are they teaching our children that they are no longer ‘boys’ and ‘girls’, in our public schools, they get to choose which gender they are? Also teaching them United Nations ‘common core’ math? 2+2 = 5 (to confuse and brainwash them). There are thousands of children being killed and permanently damaged every year by vaccinations, and knowing this, California is one of only three States in the Union that mandate vaccines. International law of “informed consent” has been overruled because the drug companies pay our representatives to make laws supporting their profits. I regard this as criminal child abuse. I wouldn’t give two cents for the California govt. The best people to take care of their kids is the parents and the few that abuse them can be dealt with by the protections we already have in place. The only motive the California Legislature has for doing anything is to line their pockets with taxpayer money and have more authority over the citizens who hired them.
Vladimir Lenin… millions of people died under his rule, Hitler also took over the education of the children and taught them that their parents were the enemy.

“Give me just one generation of youth, and I’ll transform the whole world.”

    • dale ruff

When quoting Jefferson, it is important to remember he was one of the largest slave owners and in his will, did NOT free his slaves. He recommended selling 5 yr old slave children, as a good business model.

In more recent history, 4million have died in US criminal wars in Vietnam, Iraq, and other nations.

Bush II lied to start a war that has killed nearly a million innocent people. Trump wants to bomb Iran (why else would he surround himself with Woolsey, Flynn, and Bolton?) which would start WWIII, since both Russia and China are mliitary allies of Iran.

If you are blaming Lenin for the deaths during the Russian Civil War, do you also blame Lee or lincoln for the deaths of the War for Freedom?

It was Jesus who turned children against their parents; a Children’s bill of rights protects children.

      The Sword of the Gospel
…35For I have come to turn ‘A man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.”

If you are not abusing your children, you have nothing to fear.

      • drbhelthi

“Child abuse” means different things to different groups.

  • clarioncaller

Children are the easiest to be victimized because they are defenseless. Anyone who would inflict suffering on children is pure EVIL and God reserves a ‘special’ place for them. We have too many ‘blended’ domicile arrangements in this country which exposes itself to abuse however subtle or overt. Removing children from a potentially harmful environment should be done with the skill of a surgeon because children ripped out of their only known environment can be as traumatic as leaving them to deal with abuse. The track record of CPS has not been good nationwide, as too many kids have been swallowed into the system only to be shuttled around like so much baggage. Any government intervention must have as its ultimate goal to re-establish a healthy family environment.

    • dale ruff

” Removing children from a potentially harmful environment should be done with the skill of a surgeon because children ripped out of their only known environment can be as traumatic as leaving them to deal with abuse. ” To describe rescuing a child from abusive parents as “ripped out” is absurd.

Children who are badly abused live two decades less than those in nurturing environments.

When dad is in prison and mom is a drunk, the child has no chance at a decent life unless the community intervenes. I taught kids from foster homes, many of whom were abused there. But they were in foster homes because their natural parents were in prison, totally messed up, or violent.

Many families are harmful to their chilldren. That is the basis of the need for intervention.

And it is going to spread like a cancer all over the country unless believers repent…

Always be a light that is shininginthedark

    • dale ruff

That’s funny: human rights viewed as a cancer, a thought worthy of Hitler.

      • The voice

I will bet Mao ans Stalin are your favorites

        • dale ruff

No, why would you bet that? I oppose both state and corporate tyranny. My favorites are Tom Paine and the anarchists who opposed both the bourgoisie and the Marxists.

          Who are your favorites?

  • Westcoastliberal

The state of CA needs to butt out of the parent-child relationship, including mandating vaccines.

    • dale ruff

Millions are abused each year by parents. Children have rights too. Parents who abuse should be punished. Are you one of them. Vaccines can be opted out. I lived thru the polio epidemic, which effected my dad and several class mates. Safe vaccines have save millions of lives…….we all disapprove of vaccines with mercury, etc, which was taken out of children’s vaccines (except flu, which can be requested without mercury) in 2000. Too many lies. Children have rights; vaccines are a criitcal part of public health. Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water. No, I am not a paid shill tho I will take donations.

      • The voice

With all these vaccines and medications we should be the healthiest nation on earth. Unfortunately the opposite is true as well as our life spans are getting shorter each year

        • Save your time, u can’t get through to statists, Everything that the govt touches turns to poo and they are attached to the teet for life, its must be a communicable disease out there on the left coast.

          • MA Deuce

Is that a red bone hound ?

          • No, he is a black and tan coonhound. thank u 4 asking though

      • Researching Mom

We already have laws about those things. There is no need to give children these vague, Open-ended “rights”.

        • dale ruff

Please present evidence…you are just making stuff up. Prove me wrong. Can human rights have too much support?

      • Researching Mom

I curious, what do you think CPS already does?

  • Deborah G

I have 2 things to say : Stay away from Californication 2- Keep your f-ing hands off my kids Capisce`?

    • dale ruff

Sour grapes: California is a wild success. And they are not YOUR kids! They have rights which you must honor. Gangster talk becomes you. I pity your children!

      • Deborah G

They are my kids and I’ll keep them out of California

  • dale ruff

No, the truth is that the North had all but ended slavery and the southern states wer based on slavery. The US census of 1800 shows about 36,000 slaves in the North and 600,000 in the South.

In order for the slave owners who wrote the Constitution to control the new nation and protect slavery, they created the 3/5 rule and Electoral College to give them, with fewer citizens, control..

Jefferson, like many slave owners, had condemend slavery but claimed that the slaves were sub-human, incapable of liberty or self-government. Franklin, the head of the Philadelphia Aboliton Society, owned slaves.

Most in the North opposed slavery, which was being grandfagthered out, and that is why the southern slave owners created mechanisms to block a democratic Republic, where they would have lost.

Lenin has nothing to do with it. Your lies about Lenin are comical…but it’s a red herring, a dodge from facing the truth.

Government can kill and it can protect. All these wars have been started by people who were NOT elected democratically, from Hitler to Bush. If yhou don’t like government, I urge you to move to Afghanistan, Somalia, or Libya or Ukraine, which have failed or ineffectual governments.

  • Jon

Great comment. I have a friend who worked for CPS before, and he told me that they are not only corrupt, but also if you try to expose the corruption you are told to shut up or lose your job.

  • Bob Armstrong

We are living through the last throes of the the authoritarian one-size-fits-all societies. The absurdity of this nonsense; the fact that it is about enslavement (of the child and the parents), not rights at all. Laugh at it! It has just about finished running its course.”Its the end of the world as we know it….and I feel fine.”(REM)
