Seems like, I recall that aka obama entered into the establishment of a non-parent ‘adult guardian’ that would, in fact, represent the Government’s ownership of a child… over parental rights and/or powers.

Each year there are millions of cases of child abuse, and “ndividuals who reported six or more adverse childhood experiences had an average life expectancy two decades shorter than those who reported none. 5

National Children’s Alliance reports: “In 2014, an estimated 1,564 children died from abuse and neglect in the United States.1 In 2015,
More than 700,000 children are abused in the U.S annually. An estimated 702,000 children (unique incidents) were victims of abuse and neglect in 2014, the most recent year of national data.”
Most abuse is by family members.
I can understand why if you are beating your kids, you resent being stopped by the state. I don’t understand why anyone would object to asserting the rights of all children to be treated with dignity and respect, free of violence or emotional abuse.
The varied history of certain locales and the abuse of police and other authority of the state requires consideration. For example, recently mandated vaccination, which DOES NOT immunize, rather engenders a variety of immune system disorders, it is predictable how the additional removal of parental rights would be misused. Instead of sending uniformed SWAT with weapons drawn to attack vendors of whole milk, SWAT would be sent to gather children who missed an appointment for a forced injection of animal pus and heavy metals, fraudulently called “vaccination.” Similar to the violation of the illegally-declared “sanctuary cities” of Pelosi-Obama-Clinton. Thousands of foreign aliens trained for guerilla warefare can be secretively maintained in such cities, out of sight of the citizenry. For example, the ones being removed from Syria to avoid their mass destruction by Syrian forces. All of them will not fit into Ft. Benning, and Ft. Stewart, Georgia.

I have lived in California 70 years, and I love it. it is beautiful, the people are creative and liberal, and the economy is booming. Those who live in shitholes often claim California is failing……….sour grapes.

Your taxes would likely go up as California subsidizes red states; for every dollar in taxes to the feds Cali pays, it gets back about 90 cents. The (mostly) Southern states get $3-8 back for every dollar of taxes paid in.
So if Cali goes, your taxes, if you live in a red state, will go up, as we will no longer be allowing you to freeload off of us.
Also lost will be the world’s high tech center, where 60% of venture capital in the US goes to. This will hurt the rest of the US, as investment in new technologies dropos by 60%.
Nor would we be ruled by easily bought rural conservative states like Montana or Wyoming, which have, per voters, 98.5% more voting power, despite having 98.% fewer people.
We would be happy to leave the ugly mess that is the Divided State of America and keep our money at home. We have had 3 straight years of hugh surpluses, which would increase even more if we were not dragged down by the dependent states, almost all of which are Republican.

I wouldn’t give two cents for the California govt. The best people to take care of their kids is the parents and the few that abuse them can be dealt with by the protections we already have in place. The only motive the California Legislature has for doing anything is to line their pockets with taxpayer money and have more authority over the citizens who hired them.

When quoting Jefferson, it is important to remember he was one of the largest slave owners and in his will, did NOT free his slaves. He recommended selling 5 yr old slave children, as a good business model.

If you are not abusing your children, you have nothing to fear.

Children are the easiest to be victimized because they are defenseless. Anyone who would inflict suffering on children is pure EVIL and God reserves a ‘special’ place for them. We have too many ‘blended’ domicile arrangements in this country which exposes itself to abuse however subtle or overt. Removing children from a potentially harmful environment should be done with the skill of a surgeon because children ripped out of their only known environment can be as traumatic as leaving them to deal with abuse. The track record of CPS has not been good nationwide, as too many kids have been swallowed into the system only to be shuttled around like so much baggage. Any government intervention must have as its ultimate goal to re-establish a healthy family environment.

Children who are badly abused live two decades less than those in nurturing environments.
When dad is in prison and mom is a drunk, the child has no chance at a decent life unless the community intervenes. I taught kids from foster homes, many of whom were abused there. But they were in foster homes because their natural parents were in prison, totally messed up, or violent.
Many families are harmful to their chilldren. That is the basis of the need for intervention.
And it is going to spread like a cancer all over the country unless believers repent…

The state of CA needs to butt out of the parent-child relationship, including mandating vaccines.
Millions are abused each year by parents. Children have rights too. Parents who abuse should be punished. Are you one of them. Vaccines can be opted out. I lived thru the polio epidemic, which effected my dad and several class mates. Safe vaccines have save millions of lives…….we all disapprove of vaccines with mercury, etc, which was taken out of children’s vaccines (except flu, which can be requested without mercury) in 2000. Too many lies. Children have rights; vaccines are a criitcal part of public health. Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water. No, I am not a paid shill tho I will take donations.

No, the truth is that the North had all but ended slavery and the southern states wer based on slavery. The US census of 1800 shows about 36,000 slaves in the North and 600,000 in the South.
In order for the slave owners who wrote the Constitution to control the new nation and protect slavery, they created the 3/5 rule and Electoral College to give them, with fewer citizens, control..
Jefferson, like many slave owners, had condemend slavery but claimed that the slaves were sub-human, incapable of liberty or self-government. Franklin, the head of the Philadelphia Aboliton Society, owned slaves.
