Dear Freedom Movement: Donald Trump is Not a Friend of Liberty

Op-Ed by Derrick Broze

Trump supporters continue to believe the former President is the only defense against rising techno-tyranny even as he makes it abundantly clear he is not a champion of individual liberty.

On Tuesday a divided Colorado Supreme Court ruled former President Donald Trump ineligible for a spot on the state’s presidential primary ballot under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause. The decision by the state’s highest court sets up a likely legal showdown in the U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether Trump will be allowed to remain on Colorado’s ballot.

The Colorado justices are the first judges in U.S. history to use Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to disqualify a presidential candidate.

The decision to remove Trump from the ballot has set off a firestorm of debate over whether this decision was legal and correct, and whether or not the U.S. Supreme Court will intervene. Predictably, Conservative and Republican Trump supporters are framing the ruling as the latest effort to derail the ever popular presidential candidate’s chances for winning in 2024. The Democrats and Left-leaning opposition to Donald Trump are celebrating what they hope will indeed be the end of Trump’s campaign.

However, not all left-leaning thinkers are supportive of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision. Lester Lawrence Lessig III, an American legal scholar, political activist, and no friend of Trump, outlined why he believes upholding the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision is not the right move.

“There is no argument from absurdity that justifies stretching the words of the 14th Amendment to cover this extreme case” Lessig writes.

“For the sake of the institutional integrity of the Supreme Court, I hope it rejects the judgment unanimously. One does not need to like Donald Trump in order to see that the law does not preclude him from being a candidate. Or at least, such must be true, if the rule of law is indeed about law, and not about this awful man.”

Thankfully, despite his clear distaste for Trump, Lessig is able to stay focused on what he believes is the most accurate legal interpretation of the 14th Amendment, rather than his feelings about the man. He continues:

“No doubt, and again, electing Trump would be the worst political decision of the nation since the Civil War. But excluding him, wrongfully, by a close vote of the Supreme Court could well trigger the next Civil War. We must defeat him politically — not through clever lawyer interpretations of ambiguous constitutional texts.

Trump: The Great Divider

While I don’t disagree with Lessig’s assessment of the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision, his reference to Civil War is what worries me. Are we truly on the verge of a 2nd American Civil War, as the corporate media has claimed for the last several years? Or, are we being manipulated to believe in the potential for a Civil War via predictive programming and useful idiots disguised as news anchors?

Now, I am not one to shout about Civil War being on the horizon, and I have been critical of those who have done so in the past 8 years. However, the reality is that many Trump supporters are completely convinced Donald Trump is the only thing standing in the way of the implementation of a Fascist New World Order. Trump supporters see the ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court as simply the latest in a long line of attacks on the one person they believe has a chance at stopping the march towards tyranny.

Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. Anyone who has watched the last 8 years with an open mind and critical thinking knows that Trump has long been exposed as an enemy of liberty. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, many indy media outlets, content creators, and journalists have opted for turning a blind eye to Trump’s most egregious actions.

I wrote about this deception in my 2018 article, When Will Trump Supporters in The Freedom Movement Realize They Were Duped?.

“One of the most surprising (and disappointing) effects of the Trump presidency has been the shift of certain “independent” and ” alternative” media outlets from truth seekers to establishment supporters.

We have seen several once great outlets become part of the divide and conquer put forth by the powers-that-wish-they-were. It’s been one year of the Trump administration and I think it’s quite clear that any perceived benefits are vastly outweighed by the negative actions of the administration. Some indy and alt outlets saw that Trump was a deceiver from the get go, but others somehow fell prey to the deception. Some have since abandoned the Trump train, picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and rejoined the fight for liberty.”

I have also written extensively about the ways in which Donald Trump played the role of divider, whether unwittingly or not. As I noted in my December 2016 article, The Establishment’s Plan To Divide: Donald Trump, Fake News, And Russia:

“those who hate Trump feel justified in their discontent and are happy to buy media lies about Russian interference in the election and fake news spread by uneducated Trump supporters. On the other side of the fence, Trump supporters feel justified in their distaste for the corporate media and their apparent “anti-Trump bias.” The media’s focus on Trump and repetition of unconfirmed rumors from unnamed government sources fuels the anti-establishment mood of the pro-Trump camp.”

Unfortunately, because the Republicans and Conservatives have rightfully grown sick of watching the corporate media lie about Trump’s actions since 2015, they now turn a blind eye to the actual crimes and violations of civil liberties committed by Trump.

My major concern is that, as we approach 2024 and the looming U.S. Presidential Election, the Predator Class will once again seek to exploit the divided politics of America, and engage in false flag tactics. A false flag operation attempts to hide the actual source of a catastrophic event and blame it on another party. The goal is to achieve a reaction in the public, typically fear.

Just like the January 6th operation was intended to justify giving the federal government more power to target Americans, this potential 2024 false flag would be designed to accelerate the push towards the techno-tyranny we see promoted as part of the “The Great Reset.” I warned about the potential for a false flag on or after the 2020 Election in my article, The Establishment’s Plan to Divide Part 2: COVID-19, Election 2020, and The Great Reset.

In that article I warned about the increasing totalitarian practices resulting from COVID-19 measures. On that front I was correct that governments would use the panic to grab more power and control over their populations. I also reported on the numerous exercises and drills taking place before the 2020 election which warned of chaos and civil unrest. Although some of the specific details of my article haven’t yet panned out, I believe I correctly called the chaos we saw following the 2020 election. However, I expect to see even bigger fireworks in 2024.

Trump Is Not a Friend of Liberty

In the interest of reminding anyone who forgot — or educating those who missed the actual crimes of Trump while they were ignoring the constant screaming about Russiagate — here’s a few reminders of the ways in which Donald Trump makes it clear that he is not a friend of the values of individual liberty, freedom of choice, freedom of expression, and bodily autonomy.

Trump Loves Big Pharma — lest we forget that Donald Trump is Mr. Warpspeed, let’s take a look at his actions as President. In 2017, Trump chose Alex Azar for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. The nominee immediately came under scrutiny for his former connections to the pharmaceutical industry.

Azar formerly served as U.S. Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services under George W. Bush from 2005 to 2007. In June 2007, Azar began working as a lobbyist for pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company. Azar also served as Eli Lilly’s spokesman as its Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Communications. Beginning January 1, 2012, Azar was promoted to President of Lilly USA, LLC, the largest division of Eli Lilly and Company – a position which put him in charge of Eli Lilly’s entire U.S. operation.

This trend continued into 2020, when Trump appointed Dr. Moncef Slaoui to the head of his Operation Warp Speed – itself an example of the worst kinds of public private partnerships. Slaoui has extensive ties to the pharmaceutical industry and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As I reported in May 2020:

“Following his education, Slaoui joined the pharmaceutical industry, serving on the board of Directors of GlaxoSmithKline between 2006 through 2015. Slaoui served in several senior research & development (R&D) roles with GlaxoSmithKline during his time with the company, including Chairman of Global Vaccines. GSK has a history of working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on projects such as the development of a malaria vaccine and anti-HIV compounds used as microbicides. In fact, Dr. Slaoui worked for 27 years on the malaria vaccine, ultimately partnering with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a $600 million malaria vaccine. When Slaoui took over at GSK, his predecessor, Tachi Yamada, joined the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

More recently, Slaoui sits on the boards of pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology organizations. He is also partner at MediciX investment firm, chairman of the board at Galvani Bioelectronics, chairman of the board at SutroVax and sits on the boards of Artisan Biosciences, Human Vaccines Project and Moderna Therapeutics. Each of these companies is involved in vaccine development and the emerging field of bioelectronics.”

Trump Loves GMOs — On June 11, 2019, Trump quietly issued an executive order to “streamline” GMO regulations in the United States. The order, titled Modernizing the Regulatory Framework for Agricultural Biotechnology Products, was aimed at promoting the use of genetically engineered or modified crops. In his executive order, Trump called on federal agencies to fix what he called a “regulatory maze” related to the farming and selling of GMO products.

Greg Jaffe, biotechnology director at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, told the Associated Press that the impact of the order depends on how the federal government responds. “There needs to be an assurance of safety for those products,” Jaffe said.

Trump is Bad on Gun Rights — Depending on your political view this issue might not matter much, but for Trump’s base, gun rights are an issue close to their hearts. During his administration, Trump supported calls for controversial Red Flag Laws – government-approved removal of weapons based on spurious claims – and a bump stock ban on firearms.

The Drone Emperor — While Obama was known as the “Drone King” for his reliance on drone technology for taking out accused terrorists – and killing their innocent family – Trump took it to a new level. First, Trump removed rules which required reporting on drone deaths that were put in place by Obama, once he decided he had his turn with drone murder. In fact, in 2019, air strikes from the US and its allies in Afghanistan killed 700 civilians, more than in any other year since the beginning of the war in 2001 and 2002, according to new research from Brown University’s Cost of War project. The report stated that,

“the number of civilians killed by international airstrikes increased about 330 percent from 2016, the last full year of the Obama administration, to 2019, the most recent year for which there is complete data from the United Nations.”

Trump Fought to Keep Presidential Kill List Secret, Just Like Obama — In December 2017, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration in an attempt to force the release of newly established rules related to the U.S. military’s secret program of killing. The program was established during the Obama Administration and expanded under Donald Trump.

Persecuting Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning — During his campaign for President, Donald Trump famously said he loved Wikileaks, but after he was elected he began singing a different tune. Trump eventually called for the prosecution of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange and the Trump administration put pressure on the Ecuadorian Embassy in London to turn Assange over to the United States. The Trump administration also came under fire for the treatment of U.S. Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning.

Trump’s COVID policies prove the headline’s premise. This should be a one-strike policy for any voter.
