LED Bulbs Don’t Reduce Carbon Emissions Much After All — Plus They Are Biologically and Environmentally Harmful.

By B.N. Frank

Proponents of the “Green New Deal” keep pushing indoor and outdoor LED light bulbs. They say they significantly reduce carbon emissions.  One Rolling Stone article says otherwise:

Switching out incandescent bulbs for compact fluorescent of LED bulbs is one of the actions recommended to reduce carbon emission at home, but the impact is modest.

D’oh!

Environmentalists have been warning for several years about how LED bulbs are NOT eco-friendly when used as streetlights. The American Medical Association and other health experts have been issuing warnings about LED streetlights harming people too.

A recent New York Times article also issued warnings about human exposure to blue light from screens and LED Bulbs. The article even offered some friendly advice:

Swap out your standard LED bulbs for versions that emit less blue light.

Seems reasonable – all things considered. Unfortunately, some seemingly well-meaning folks still don’t think so.
