"Sound of Freedom" - Movie Release July 4th

I recently learned of a new film that I hope you will tell friends and family to watch on its July 4th release. It is the “Sound of Freedom” movie.

Although the movie deals with a “dark” topic, it shares a mission of hope, not one of despair.

The “Sound of Freedom” movie starring Jim Caviezel is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, the founder and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), which rescues children from sex trafficking rings. He spent over a decade working as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security, where he was deployed as an undercover operative for the U.S. Child Sex Tourism Jump Team. The problem of human sex trafficking (including children) apparently starts with what most adults have likely accessed in their lifetime–pornography. Since we are sexual beings, it’s normal to be stimulated by watching sexually focused stuff. Many if not most adults probably think it has no big harm, despite their feeling a bit uneasy and secretive about it. Unfortunately, it does have some dark sides, which most folks may never have thought about. Human sex trafficking is now reported to be the biggest industry in America, and much of it starts with pornography. Without watchers there would be no demand and little to no sex trafficking industry.

Pornography is a much larger issue than filming consenting adults having sex. It also involves child abductions for pedophilia porn, and drug-pushing to those who are trafficked which drives our ever-growing addiction problems.

In many cases when adults become seriously hooked on pornography, they are unable to enjoy normal sex, and in some cases, the pornography must get darker and darker, to achieve stimulation.

Because the internet makes pornography so readily available clandestinely, and video gaming is so popular, pornography promoters often commandeer video games to capture gamers. Because we are highly sexual beings, it’s very easy for normal folks to get hooked into it. Most probably give no thought to it supporting a large and growing criminal underworld of human drug and sex trafficking.

My eyes were opened to these realities by author and film producer, Meri Crouley, when watching her new film, “Freedom Cry: Sex Trafficking in America.”

While I never gave thought to what consenting adults chose to do or watch, I had no awareness of how associated porno was with so many other evils like our country’s millions of missing children, many of whom wind up trafficked and victims of sexual and other forms of abuse. This is horrific to me.

The problem demands attention by every decent person in the world, including shutting down our southern border flooded with gangs involved in drug and human trafficking much of which involves children and sex trafficking.
