On Friday January 27, 2023, the World Affairs Council – Houston invited former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to speak. Journalist Derrick Broze attempted to attend the event to question Pompeo regarding his statements about being trained to lie, cheat, and steal, but was banned before the event took place.
Derrick attempted to confront Mike Pompeo from outside the building but was prevented from getting close by Houston Police.
