Why Big Oil Conquered The World

By James Corbett

Excellent new documentary by James Corbett. The 20th century was the century of oil. From farm to fork, factory to freeway, there is no aspect of our modern life that has not been shaped by the oil industry. But as the “post-carbon” era of the 21st century comes into view, there are those who see this as the end of the oiligarchy. They couldn’t be more wrong. This is the remarkable true story of the world that Big Oil is creating, and how they plan to bring it about.

  1. This goes way back before “oil”. Before ground drilled oil there was whale oil, and an entire economic empire structured around that. Before that the backbone of the US economy was cod, yes the fish. There was so much wealth involved it was international in scope. In every era the tale is the same. A powerful economic force is found, then control dominated by a powerful few before it is exhausted until the next one.

    • Corn has been used as well. The U.S. devalued the global market of corn by producing the lowest cost corn, then arranging for its sale at lowest cost. This is why Mexico for example sends flooding waves of migrant workers into the U.S..Mexico cannot produce corn to compete with U.S. corn. If they could lots of the Mexican people would stay put and farm. Also another aspect is something a USDA ‘doc’ told me once. “Every critter on Earth we can addict to corn, in some form or another. Once that hook is set we got them for life.”

  2. Big oil conquered because they suppressed Tesla’s work.

  3. Excellent Video.
