David Cameron declares war on his own people; promises a British police state

It is sad to say that the United Kingdom is heading down the road of tyranny to be a complete police state like the United States, but Prime Minister David Cameron has announced just that today.

Cameron is under the impression that the riots were caused by a “slow-motion moral collapse” without entertaining any other theories which might be a bit more accurate.

It is much more convenient to blame the problems on the powerless citizens than the bankster overlords that Cameron happily serves or the police’s actions.

Cameron thinks that Britain is now broken and in reaction he has said that he is going to wage “an all-out war” against what he called “gangs” but what others might call “rioters” or “protesters” depending on their motives.

Prime Minister Cameron said that the riots have come out of failures of British culture to make people take responsibility for their actions. This is a bit ridiculous given that is an unfortunate reality in today’s culture around the Western world and there are not violent riots breaking out in every city on a daily basis.

Furthermore, Cameron implied that single-parent families could have some impact on this issue by saying that the fear of “stigmatizing” individuals by dealing with topics like single-parent families has made it harder for Britain to handle issues like this.

Again, it seems a bit ludicrous to blame the riots on a fear of speaking out against issues like single-parent families.

One thing I do agree with in Cameron’s statement is his point that, “In this risk-free ground of moral neutrality there are no bad choices, just different lifestyles. ‘Live and let live’ becomes ‘Do what you please.’”

However, if Cameron actually supported such an anti-moral relativism position as I do, he might realize that he is a condemnable, immoral human being who supports the murder of civilians abroad in the name of freedom.

I seriously doubt that Cameron even understands the position he attempts to hold as he would realize that there is no justification for murder, aggression or violence and in doing so would find himself to be a disgusting and thoroughly amoral individual.

A poll carried out by ICM Research found that Cameron’s delusional views are shared across much of the British population.

They found that 45% blamed “criminality on the part of the rioters”, 28% blamed “lack of respect within families and communities” and 8% blamed youth unemployment.

A shocking 1/3 of those polled by ICM Research and another polling group ComRes said that they think Cameron handled the response to the riots aptly.

I guess roughly one in three British citizens therefore believe that free speech is an outdated concept and should be eradicated whenever the government deems necessary for however long the government deems necessary, as that is what Cameron has proposed in response to the chaos.

Cameron has also pronounced that the police presence in the United Kingdom would be ramped up, as if CCTV monitoring every inch of major cities was not enough.

In the past, Cameron attempted to encourage the need to understand and converse with young criminals, but now he has completely abandoned this by promising an “all-out war on gangs and gang culture”.

I wonder if Cameron includes the well-off, educated individuals who participated in the rioting in these “gangs and gang culture”.

Apparently Cameron thinks that a millionaire’s daughter, a Baptist student mentor, a law student, a 17-year-old ballerina and an organic chef are gang members, now.

Simply put: Cameron’s approach makes no sense.

Cameron was planning to cut police funding by 20% in 2014-2015. Police associations have estimated that this will result in about 14,000 fewer police jobs.

How exactly are you going to put more police on the street if you’re cutting the funding?

Even more absurd is the fact that the riots sprung out of the murder of a black man at the hands of police officers and in response Cameron decided to hire an American former police chief which will likely result in more aggressive and violent tactics being implemented.

How exactly are you going to stop further civil unrest as a result of police brutality by increasing police brutality?

He has been talking about harsher sentencing for criminals while the Ministry of Justice has been advocating cutting the prison population in order to reduce spending by 23%.

If Cameron’s plan couldn’t get any more bizarre, he said that “Family and parenting is where we’ve got to start” without elucidating what this meant in any way. What a great plan there, Davey! I wish I had the mental acumen to come up with such well-thought-out and thorough proposals!

Some conservatives in the UK are advocating that the government should revoke public housing from entire families if a single one happened to be a rioter. This has to be some of the most imbecilic nonsense I have ever heard.

How exactly are you going to curb future social unrest by removing the social programs the poor rely upon?

It gets even worse. I know it is hard to believe, but it is true.

Cameron has said that the increasing health and safety regulations and human rights laws can lead to a “twisting and misrepresenting of human rights in a way that has undermined personal responsibility.”

This is nothing short of dangerous. Judging by Cameron’s vague statement, one could argue that someone who is being tortured by the British government has no protection from doing so, because if that person had exercised their personal responsibility to keep them out of such a situation, it wouldn’t have happened. Therefore, it is all their fault and anyone who says otherwise is “twisting and misrepresenting” human rights.

Cameron and the government of the UK has been attempting to push the European Union to “make changes to the European Convention on Human Rights,” according to the Wall Street Journal. They do not make it clear what exactly these changes would be, although from Cameron’s reaction to this entire fiasco I cannot imagine they will be positive changes.

What do you think should be done in response to the riots? How do you think governments of the world should handle themselves to prevent such things from happening to begin with? I would appreciate your ideas and feedback, so please e-mail me at admin@endthelie.com if you have anything to share.
