Israel Claims Iran Is Building A Missile Factory In Syria, Builds Excuses For Strike Against Assad

By Brandon Turbeville

The Israeli government is at it again. The Zionist settler state is currently laying the groundwork for a justification of military aggression against Syria over flimsy claims that Iran is building a scud missile factory in Lattakia.

Israel claims that satellite photos allegedly taken by its EROS-B satellite show the construction of the Scud missile factory. The location is allegedly near Lattakia near the coastline.

Israel claims the photo of the facility shows that the structure resembles a missile plant in Tehran.

The Independent cites Channel 2’s experts who claim that the facility could not have been constructed without the help of Iran and Iranian experts allegedly operating in Syria. They say work began on the facility last year and that is has both production and underground storage capacity for long-range missiles. These missiles would thus be capable of striking Israel.

These “experts” claim the facility will be completed by the end of 2017.

Of course, the word “alleged” appears so often in this report because the Israeli claims are missing a very important element which is needed to make decisions regarding what to do in any given important situation such as this – proof. The photos, assuming they are real and not doctored by Mossad or the Israeli military, simply show the construction of a facility that “resembles” a missile facility in Iran. From such a simple statement, we then have experts discussing how the missiles will threaten Israel and how Iranian experts must be in Syria and how the Syrians must have Iranian experts working with them to build the Scud facility. All this because a building looks like another building that manufactures missiles located in a different country.

And so what if it is a missile facility? Israel has missiles that can reach every country in the Arab world. Syria has a right to defend itself, produce Scud missiles and, yes, aim them at the country that has illegally occupied Syrian territory since 1967 and which has repeatedly attacked Syria over the last six years. It also has the right to work with the Iranians and invite Iranian experts into the country. Syria is, after all, sovereign.

Israel actually is concerned about both Syria and Iran’s influence in the region. Ironically, the latter’s influence is growing rapidly as a result of the Western-backed terrorist campaign in Syria. Israel is fearful of a stronger Iran and, by default, a stronger Hezbollah.

“Our policy is clear: We vehemently oppose the military buildup by Iran and its proxies, primarily Hezbollah, in Syria and we will do whatever it takes to protect Israel’s security,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech just last week, adding his fears that, as ISIS is destroyed, Iran will move in to take its place. This is hyperbole and hysteria which can be accurately translated “As Syria, Russia, Hezbollah, and Iran defeat Western and Israeli-backed terrorists in Syria, the Israeli position is weakened by the lack of ISIS in Syria. Thus, Israel may have to engage in direct military action to ensure victory where the terrorists it has supported have currently failed.”

What is much more concerning that Israel’s lack of evidence and perpetual whining over the possibility that someone may be able to stand up to its racist imperial aims is the fact that it is relatively clear Israel is simply laying the foundation of propaganda for an attack on Syria in the near future. It is creating a paper trail in the Western media that journals its “concerns” and “fears” over Syria and Iran’s “aggression” and, when it is time to strike, it can then claim that it has been bringing its concerns up to the international community for some time only to have their worries ignored. For that reason, they will argue, they had to take action for the safety and security of Israel.

It is notable that the prospective date for completion on the facility is by the end of 2017 raising the possibility that, if Israel does intend to strike Syria using this facility as a justification, it may be before the end of the year.

On the other hand, Israel’s unproven claims may be seated in the desire to break up the recent U.S.-Russian cooperation over southern Syria and “de-escalation zones.” Israel has repeatedly tried to scupper these negotiations and prevent peace in Syria, claiming it gives Iran too much power.

While U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has stated that the negotiations with Russia will continue, provided that the Iranian forces are eventually removed from Syria, Israeli intelligence officials are scheduled to meet with the U.S. officials later this week to discuss the situation further. This causes some to worry that the Israeli officials may influence or otherwise wreck the Russian/U.S. cooperation as Israel has managed to do in the past.

  1. Builds Excuses For Strike Against Assad??? I suppose you trust and believe the Iranians???
Are you stupid or stoned or both???

    • Brandon’s article is based solely on reports in the Independent and Channel 2. No need to trust or believe anything Iranians have said. It’s all based on Israeli “intelligence” as reported in those media and statements by Nuttyahoo. I think you need a little more training on your hasbara.

      • Ok, I’ll look into that. I would suggest you get a little training in eschatology.

        • eschatology. Now that is a big word!! Are you hoping to ascend soon?

        • Thanks for the correction. I had been assuming you were a Zionist, but didn’t realize you were of the Christian Zionist antisemite subcult, who look forward to the end times that you believe will bring about your own rapture while killing billions and sending most of them, including all remaining Jews, to Hell. Man, talk about a Holocaust!

I can see how hard you’re working to make it so, but most of mankind would prefer to take their chances with the Devil rather than be eternally condemned to proximity with a God as evil as yours, given His sadistic penchant for pain and suffering.

          • Bill, I will enjoy watching you say this again to the Lord when you give account for all your idle words!

          • My words were not idle, and you don’t scare me. My faith is that if there is a God that created the wonderful universe in which we live, He is not the small, petty, spiteful, narcissistic creature you psychologically project, but a great and merciful Entity who would never punish the creatures He has created for using the gifts of sense and reason He has given them to advance the Good and thoughtfully criticize evil ideologies such as you espouse.

I’m also confident that my merciful God will give even you an opportunity to atone for your sin and be saved. I hope you manage to do that before you’re burnt to a crisp in the holocaust you crave, because my God will certainly not enrapture anyone who is deliberately or even just carelessly setting people against one another to advance such a vile eschatology. But even if you don’t repent before you’re burnt to a crisp, I’m sure He’ll forgive your ignorance, take into account what little good you’ve done in your life and welcome you into His merciful kingdom, just as He will all those who fully utilize his gifts.

          • Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. I hope and pray you search and employ.

  2. Not to worry, Israhell has the Iron Dome! Well two if you include Nutandyahoo’s head.

  3. Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 describe the synagogue of Satan, and it is not Iran, Syria, Iraq, Lydia, etc.

  4. I seem to remember Israel shooting down Iraqi missiles from Israel during Desert Storm. Why is it that only israel is allowed to have such weapons? That’s as ignorant as putting the only country who has used nukes the watchog of nukes. Which we did.

  5. why would Iran, who have (at present) a reasonably peaceful country, decide to build anything in a neighbour’s backyard, where everybody and their dog is fighting over the scraps?
it certainly doesn’t make any sense to me.

    • The NWO theater of the absurd geopolitical circus maximus is not supposed to make sense, it’s designed to distract, confuse, drain our energies, and keep us off guard from protecting our basic civil liberties.

There’s a name for this process, it’s termed nonlinear disinformation warfare and it’s used all around the world. It involves the continuous release of a blizzard of info and disinfo such that people don’t know what to think, what to believe, or how best to unite to protect themselves from tyranny. (There’s a good six minute vid on YT that explains this. I’ll attach the link below in case it triggers moderation.)

  6. does any human being on this planet has so much money as an average israeli citizen has? It’s all supported year by year, by the poorer and poorer taxpayers of few countries, paying and paying the ‘debt’ (???) for crimes which were installed by the very money receivers themselves…. any logic behind all of it?? sure a lot.

  7. Israel won’t become a member of the World Nuclear Commision even tho it has over 100 nukes and tons of mini nukes. N K has signed in on the Commision. Israel is the main enemy of the World.

  8. Peace is their enemy

  9. “Concern”? Seems to me that the US should have thought of what destroying Iraq, the natural foil to Iran in the Middle East, would do to Iran’s positional strength there. More than anything else, this foolish action with respect to Iraq, has proven to me that Bush was and still is an incompetent fool!
