A new report by the British Mirror magazine has revealed that British special forces are now operating inside Syria in preparation for the “expected response” of cruise missiles and RAF bombing campaigns which will take place alongside the Americans and possibly the French.
The report also states,
Spies have already found scores of major military installations and ammo dumps in the war-stricken country.
Now the British military is waiting for the political green light as it prepares to act.
A huge force of Royal Navy warships and RAF jets could be called into action if MPs vote for air and sea strikes.
But it is likely any attack would involve a small number of precision missile strikes, launched from outside Syria.
The Navy will spearhead any UK operation against Assad, followed by the RAF, both working with US and French forces, but regular troops will not be sent in.
It is thought nuclear submarine HMS Tireless has been repositioned in the Mediterranean in readiness to launch Tomahawk cruise missiles against Assad’s military.
Yet, while the participation of Western intelligence agencies and special forces might be news to some, the fact is that such operations have been taking place since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in 2011.
Indeed, a recent article from French newspaper Le Figaro reports that American, Israeli, and Jordanian commandos crossed the Syrian border only days before the chemical attack in Eastern Ghouta which the West has ridiculously attempted to blame on Assad. As Le Figaro reported, “According to our information, the regime’s opponents, supervised by Jordanian, Israeli, and American commandos moving towards Damascus since mid-August.”
It was also reported by Israeli news agency DEBKAfile, a site with known intelligence connections, that British and Qatari troops were actually on the ground in Homs, Syria as early as February, 2012. As RT reported at the time,
British and Qatari troops are directing rebel ammunition deliveries and tactics in the bloody battle for Homs, according to an Israeli website known for links to intelligence sources.
Four centers of operation have been established in the city with the troops on the ground paving the way for an undercover Turkish military incursion into Syria.
The debkafile site said the presence of British and Qatari troops in Homs topped the agenda of Tuesday’s talks between Assad’s officials and head of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov.
The emails were obtained from the private U.S. intelligence firm, Stratfor, and were apparently sent by Stratfor’s Director of Analysis, Reva Bhalla (firstname.lastname@example.org) and contain discussion of a December confidential Pentagon meeting which was attended “by senior analysts from the US Air Force, and representatives from its chief allies, France and the United Kingdom.
Tellingly, the email’s author stated that US officials “said without saying that SOF [special operation forces] teams (presumably from the US, UK, France, Jordan and Turkey) are already on the ground, focused on recce [reconnaissance] missions and training opposition forces.” Later in the email, it was stated that “the idea ‘hypothetically’ is to commit guerrilla attacks, assassination campaigns, try to break the back of the Alawite forces, elicit collapse from within.”
This should come as no surprise since Western troops and intelligence agents maintained a heavy presence inside Libya during the destruction of that nation, increasing their presence as the destabilization and subsequent invasion succeeded.
In addition to Western forces, numerous reports have also suggested the presence of Israeli special forces operating inside Syria on a limited basis. For instance, in December 2012, it was reported by the London Sunday Times that Israeli special forces were operating inside Syria “as spotters to track the regime’s stock of chemical and biological weapons.”
In May, 2013, however, Israeli commandos were recorded and later broadcast on FOX news coming back from a mission inside Syria, although the nature of the mission was never expanded upon.
Of course, in addition to commandos on the ground, it is important to remember that Israel has launched at least three military air strikes against the Middle Eastern nation since the crisis began.
All in all, it should be increasingly apparent to anyone who has even passively observed the Syrian crisis that it is nothing more than a Western-backed destabilization campaign aimed at wrecking the secular government and the sovereignty of the nation, breaking up the country into an impotent collection of micro-states and mini-states. For that reason, it should come as no shock that Western special forces have been and currently are working inside Syria to aid the death squads in their mission.
With the Western world salivating to launch a military assault on Syria which will inevitably kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, it is important for all Americans to not only actively expose such blatant hypocrisy and treachery, but to actively oppose it.
Our window of opportunity is closing.
