Many many helicopters hover above the streets. Full riot gear was worn by some officers during the ordeal. Rubber bullets and other projectiles were in use. The police were very aggressive. All this over chalk painting on the sidewalk?
In the video @ 4:49, you can see a man in a white t-shirt shot at very close range with a projectile weapon. He falls to the ground and is clearly incapacitated. The police then run up and violently kick him in the face while he is laying on the ground. He is then taken away in cuffs.

That's outright Fashism !!! I wonder what Obama has to say about that ?
He will give the cops involved a bravery medal, as is going to be given to drone pilots. Historians among you, does the uniform/ riot gear ad shields used by the police remind you of anyone? Maybe the Roman legions? They cannot be beaten on the streets when they can build and hold a skirmish line. The romans were the same. Best idea would be to confront them in wide areas, where it would take thousands of them to react. What about the African zulu? Their method of attack was called (something like) the horns of the buffalo(wrong animal, methinks, but it helps to imagine!). The main body would be in the centre, with attackers on the wings. The centre would attack and the wings would move in to surround the enemy. A simple method of encircling the enemy. The enemy here is the police force, who wants to volunteer to be an zulu? (watch the film "Rorke's drift"!!
