Sneaker Mob Goes On Rampage: The Decline of Western Civilization, Part ∞

Sometimes I just get fed up.  And it usually happens around the holidays when we are supposed to be spreading some good cheer and kindness toward our fellow man, just in case we have been ignoring that mission otherwise.  Maybe just a week or two of peace....

Then Black Friday comes.

Then the shopping mobs of Christmas.

I know these mobs are not representative of the potential for humanity, or even the majority, but it is what we are currently stuck dealing with, especially in city environments.  What concerns me, in this case, is not the pepper-spraying police trying to contain the Air Jordan mob, because one shouldn't be caught dead near the Nike-produced, slave labor, child abusing filth that this particular corporation embodies, nor be seen in one of their chain store, human rights violating centers of degradation.  Those who would fight and presumably die for such a cause?  Well, it's an open invitation to the whole arsenal in my view.

However, this is what the future looks like if we don't get our act together real quick.

Drudge Report has dedicated several spots to the insanity of beating one another half to death for a pair of Air Jordans.  Black Friday has given way to Black Eye Friday.  This is what the elites see from their (stolen) position on the mount -- and it isn't pretty, let's admit.  Their policies are generally driven by the belief that the masses are asses and deserve a good culling.  I'm not suggesting that we have anything to prove to that higher class of sociopath, but rather that we do have something to prove to ourselves.

The alternative media has been covering the warp-speed arrival of the brutal police state, and all it means for true freedom of expression, freedom of movement, the right to privacy, and the right to not be detained indefinitely at the whim of whichever overlord is in power.  These are real issues that should elicit a real response -- en masse.  While I have written about the need to boycott any corporation or country signing on to police state measures, I'm frankly becoming equally troubled by my immediate neighbors -- the neighbors that choose to take their stand by clashing with the police state over Air F-ing Jordans.  Or sign on to any part of the apparatus that winds up taking part in all that is base and promoting human weakness.

An estimated 1,000 people were camped outside a shopping mall to gain access to Foot Locker.  This follows the passage of a bill that declares America a literal war zone, and everyone within it fair game for the same treatment as Abu Ghraib.  And the hordes grab Air Jordans amidst a maelstrom of thrown punches and pepper spray?  Pathetic, and embarrassing.

Those of us fighting for the right of humanity to gain access to a level playing field, and to call out elite overlords for their obvious unfairness as supposed referees or consultants -- as well as show disgust for their wicked and decadent ways -- had best be prepared to step up our game and focus on the front lines as well.

The economy is going to fully collapse; every reliable expert and trend forecaster has told us that this is the case.  And when it occurs -- through hyperinflation, dollar devaluation, or consolidation toward global currency -- it won't be the elective, manufactured necessity of Air Jordans that the mobs will covet -- it will be anything associated with raw survival dictated by real necessity.

And when this happens, and your neighborhood becomes a permanent Black Eye Friday, you will probably beg for the police state to come stomping into town.

Perhaps we can use these aberrant holiday events to open up discussion with our real protectors and partners -- our neighbors -- and call their behavior into question, while doing our best to offer alternative ways to deal with stressful situations, manufactured desires, and manufactured shortages.

Just maybe we can put a little true nobility back in the holidays, answer our higher potential, and have it carry over into 2012 when we'll likely need it most.

I saw a clip of 2 grown men fighting over a large box that could not have had much in it, judging by the way they were tossing it around. I imagined cheap plastic junk. One of them walked away empty handed, defeated and humiliated. The other victorious. I think the victory was all the sweeter for the humiliation of the other. Peace on the Earth good will towards men, NOT!

I'm relieved to see that someone else has made this observation.

When people act like this, the so-called "elite" see it as justification for the psychopathic agendas. Of course, they like to leave out the fact that they do everything possible to insure people react the way they do to the latest 'useless trash' being peddled by the ad agencies. The ads that are produced, which they bombard you with 24/7, can basically be summarized with the following...

"Buy! Buy! Buy! Get! Get! Get! You can't live without this s@$%!"

So, following that programmed line of thinking the fight for the latest pair of Air Jordans is literally a life or death struggle in the minds of those that comprise 'The Horde'.

Perhaps I am just less cynical, but I don't see the holiday shopping frenzy as a bad thing.

I see a society that has reached levels unimaginable to past generations. We no longer need to fight for food, or warmth. No longer need to kill each other over access to clean water.

We as a society have evolved to such a high point that our squabbles are about toys! Not the most noble of motives perhaps, but it sure beats killing each other over who's flag is better, doesn't it?

Thank you both for the comments.

Anon 2: You have articulated the central problem very well. They make us feel like garbage so that we buy their garbage. We just have to be better than them and act like real human beings. Not so easy when the deck is stacked. Nonetheless, we should embrace the best traits of man. And, let's not forget that the elite class behave even worse. A pepper spraying, or a stampeding mob is nothing compared to depleted uranium and GMO. -- Peace. J.G.

This is so stupid. Hey Footlocker, instead of creating a MOB like you just did, why not hold a raffle. This would give you lots of advertisment, and it would also not risk someone's life trying to buy those stinking ugly-ass shoes..... Just saying... Jan

Eloquently put, John Galt. You are 100% correct.

The following is a note I wrote last year. Sorry it's in all caps, but that's how I wrote it.

SHOPPING TOMORROW (WARNING: VULGAR LANGUAGE USED, OF COURSE)
by Jack McLeod on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 11:15pm

There's an ad for Target on my Fakebook page that says the 2-day sale tomorrow starts at 4 am.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY?

WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE FEED IN TO THIS GODDAMN CORPORATE GREED?

DO THEY THINK THEIR LIFE IS REALLY GOING TO BE BETTER BECAUSE THEY DEPRIVE THEMSELVES OF SLEEP AND OVERPAY FOR CRAP?

SADLY, THIS CRAP WAS MADE BY 3RD WORLD PEOPLE BECAUSE THE CORPORATION DOESN'T WANT TO PAY AMERICAN WORKERS WHAT WE KNOW THE LABOR IS ACTUALLY WORTH.

UNEMPLOYMENT IS OUT OF CONTROL IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THESE 4 AM SHOPPERS BUY THE PRODUCTS FROM THE CORPORATIONS WHO TOOK THEIR JOBS AND SHIPPED THEM OVERSEAS.

AND BY THE WAY, 4 AM SHOPPERS, WHILE YOU ARE STANDING THERE WITH YOU PANTS OR SKIRT DOWN AROUND YOUR ANKLES BENT OVER THE CORPORATE CEO’S DESK, THE CEO ISN’T THINKING OF YOU THERE IN THE OFFICE AT ALL. THE CEO IS GOING THROUGH REPORTS AND SPREADSHEETS AND MEMOS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO BRING IN MILLIONS OF NEW SHOPPERS TO DO THE SAME THING YOU ARE IN THE OFFICE FOR -- TO SERVICE HIM -- NON-STOP -- DAY AND NIGHT.

SO, 4 AM SHOPPER, GET UP AND GO TO THAT SALE AT 4 AM. GO IN THERE AND SERVICE THE HELL OUT OF THESE PRICKS BECAUSE YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT WHATEVER PIECE OF OVERPRICED SHIT THEY HAVE FOR YOU.

AND WHEN YOU LEAVE, YOU’RE GOING TO FEEL SO FUCKING GOOD BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT NEXT YEAR THEY’RE GOING TO DO IT TO YOU AGAIN – BUT EVEN HARDER.

This is a very inspired piece of writing, John. I just came from reading another interesting piece at
http://truthandshadows.wordpress.com/2011/12/18/standing-up-for-unpopular-truths-about-911-comes-at-a-personal-cost
which talks about people's extreme reaction to questions around 9-11 truth; and after reading your article, it suddenly struck me:
when things get really bad, and the state-apparatus tries to blame all the martial-law mayhem on us "free thinkers," we may just have to be careful who we talk to... "witch-hunts" come to mind, snitches, etc.
I'd like to think the masses, (the shoppers-in-denial) would come around when there's enough of us willing to stand up for truth; but there also may come a time when it will be downright dangerous to have an opinion; or even... EVER had one.
creepy.

Six years ago I closed my bank account, no more debit card or credit cards. I grow my own food and what I don't grow I buy locally. I don't shop at big box stores and refuse to eat GMO foods. I am un-occupying and hoping it will catch on until the elitists are brought to their knees.

So activist post doesn't believe in free speech? You guys censor comments you don't like, or perhaps, don't agree with? Can you please post and answer this because I am confused :(

I agree with your assessment of this aberrant behavior.

And I have noticed as you have, that the alternative media is not putting this out there, except for Alex Jones, as far as I know.

I tried to post this on a public site and they would not do it!

Anyway, God bless you and keep the faith.

It is stories like this that remind me of why we left the US and now live in New Zealand. From our little corner of the world down here, this sort of behaviour looks like it is occuring on another planet as it is so alien and foreign to the minds of people here. They simply cannot comprehend how people could behave like that.

Good luck America - you are going to need it.

A real class act those folks involved in the sneaker mob. The only good thing about this is the fact they DID pay for them (as far as we know.) The Occupiers want everything given to them. We are looking at the future of America and it not pretty. When the money and the food is not delivered on time this is going to get real ugly.

Allow me to put this story into perspective [Just so you all don't lose hope over humanity because of the over-exaggeration of this article and the main stream media (from which this article was derived.)]
Let's say 1,000 people camped out at 1,000 stores to get these shoes. That's 1,000 people multiplied by 1,000 stores for a total of 1,000,000 "4 am shoe shoppers". If one million people did this, and we have 300,000,000 population in the U.S., that is less than 1% of the total U.S. population. That is 1/3 of 1% of the population! So, before you get all disgusted with the whole of humanity and pass judgement on all Americans based on the behavior of a tiny percentage of the population who camps out one day out of the year for shoes, put it into perspective. Now that you understand this small group does not represent the rest of us, kindly detour your concerns towards much more important issues. That goes for the author too.

Along with New Zealand, i wonder how the rest of the world see the people of the US? Since it has been found that 40% of the people in European countries have some form of mental illness, can the US be far behind. We have to lead in the number of citizens who chose to remain ignorant. Our nation would not be in the shape it is today other wise.

Excellent article, well-written and motivating. Truth and goodness do exist, but we are entering a dark period of history. There is an opportunity to forestall the darkness somewhat the what remains while a semblance of the democratic process still exists.

Western civilization is no more "depraved" than it has every been--that is to say, if "depraved" is the correct discriptive. Nor or we as a group, any more grasping and violent in regard to "material things". We are, INDIVIDUALS. Each one with his/her own motivation based on his/her own brain function. Some of us are more influenced by the percieved demands around us than others. The drive to participate in combat while in public shopping areas is not so much motivated by the item/items over which combat is taking place than the desire for the combat itself.

It is with this in mind that I take this Christmas morning moment to shout HURRAH and GOOD JOB DONE to all the brave and strong clerks, restraunt workers, counter servers and cash register drones who deal with the public for long hours in stores, malls, bakeries, hotels, grocery stores and public eating establishments. GOLD STARS to you all! You are brave and true. It is my prayer that someone out there in charge of your working world will give you at the least, a pat on the back with some understand of what you experience while dealing with the shopping public who as been whipped into a frenzy in response to the illusion that drives them out of their warm homes into blind and brain dead mobs in search for something that will give them bragging rights when the paper is ripped asunder on Christmas morning...

May you, national heros that you are, get time off with pay!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! SALUDE!!

It takes two to tango, the bankers and the elitists would not be where they are without us. If we want to stop them then we must bow out. Occupying isn't enough especially since they use force and hurt people, we must remember, they have no conscience.

why is it OK for anonymous to denigrate all who do not happen to be jews

"Yeh I agree that the AmericanNon-Jews are indeed "GOYISHE KUP" or "STUPID CATTLE"!"

but everyone carefully avoids pointing out that the sneaker mobs were by and large black

Oh goodness.

I can tell where you're going with that last statement.

You would like to find some comfort in the idea that mass displays of stupidity like the "sneaker mobs" are a racial thing, and that whites are somehow immune to such displays of ignorance. It's that very thinking that will be the undoing of so many people. If you're unable to judge each and every individual by their own merits, then you are condemning yourself to be judged in the same unfair racial generality -- (i.e. if the white guy standing next to you is a child molester, then if you're white, you must be a child molester too). Doesn't feel good does it?

Calling the sneaker mob crowds "people", or if you chose to be more descriptive, "Americans" is a sufficient enough general description of them. But, when you chose to identify them by their race, thus equating their behavior to their race, well now as the old saying goes -- "What's good for the goose, is good for the gander."

As for the statement from Anon # 3 about American Non-Jews being "GOYISHE KUP or STUPID CATTLE!", well the thing is most of the "Jews" that say things like that are themselves Ashkenazi Jews who have absolutely no bloodline relation to biblical Hebrews (hell, I might have more Hebraic blood in me than them), so it really is a ironic statement to say the least.
