Thank You Letter to NY Congressional Reps Sticking up for Teachers for Choice!

This letter was sent to the offices of the nine New York Congressional Representatives named in the second paragraph of this letter.

Dear New York Congressional Lawmakers;

TEACHERS FOR CHOICE is writing to profoundly thank the nine New York Congressional Representatives who recently sent a letter to NYC DOE Chancellor David Banks asking for answers as to why unvaccinated educators were branded with a Problem Code “Scarlet Letter.”

These Representatives include Nick Langworthy, Mike Lawler, Andrew Garbarino, Anthony D’Esposito, Elise Stefanik, Claudia Tenney, Nick LaLota, Marcus Molinaro and Brandon Williams.

For NYC educators to be discriminated against and punished in this fashion is appalling, and we cannot possibly thank the nine of you enough for helping us get to the bottom of what really happened in NYC so that it will never occur again.

We also wish to thank Children’s Health Defense for the leadership and resources they have provided into various lawsuits, investigations, news coverage and letter-writing on this topic. In particular we wish to thank Mary Holland for writing the original letter three months ago that sparked Congressional action on this matter.
