The Abstract episode 13 “The Case Against Uber”

Op-Ed by Peter A. Kirby

Uber is an unnecessary deviance from best practices. Uber has wrecked local taxicab industries all over the world. Some argue that Uber is a necessary evolution because they run taxis on an app. But if localized taxi companies had been given a chance, they would have all been successfully using app technologies as well. And if that situation had been allowed to evolve, citizens today would have better service along with all the other benefits of a local and therefore more accountable taxicab industry. Let’s go over the benefits of keeping taxicab businesses local and the ongoing horror that is Uber, shall we?
