By Peter Tocci
Today’s world looks quite chaotic, threatened and stressed. But could the players and motives commonly cited by investigative journalists be symptomatic first, causal second?
Issues come ‘fast and furious,’ such as ever-increasing threats to health, freedom, self-determination, and most critically to the ecosystem, thus survival.
Technological society (TS) now faces conversion from an ‘analog’ form of socioeconomic and political thralldom (sold as freedom) to a digital, microwave-mediated, robotized, total-surveillance and direct human-control system, where one’s thoughts, feelings, choices and behaviors can be (wirelessly) programmed.
The hypothesis here is that the chaos, threats and stress, regardless of commonly perceived motive/sources, are ultimately symptomatic of a form of societal mental illness. Or perhaps more accurately, a predisposing psycho-spiritual imbalance.
TS has traditionally been primed and ready to identify individual mental-emotional imbalances, recognized by the affected individual or not. For example, suicidal tendency is usually characterized as a mental illness.
But if, as suggested here, there is a specific, fundamental, conditioned or/and reinforced collective imbalance, might we have been, and be, a bit slow to acknowledge and, especially, address it? If a pathological condition and its attendant thoughts, beliefs and behavior are widespread/dominant, does the syndrome becomes ‘normal’?
It’s suggested that a normalized systemic imbalance is the paradigm, or soul, of cultures that develop and embrace ever-advancing technology:
What good man would prefer a country covered with forests and ranged by a few thousand savages to our extensive Republic, studded with cities, towns, and prosperous farms, embellished with all the improvements which art can devise or industry execute, … and filled with all the blessings of liberty, civilization, and religion? – President Andrew Jackson, “Case for the Removal [of Indians] Act” December 8, 1830
Piece of the Pie
Obviously, Andrew Jackson didn’t consider those who preferred forests to be good “men” by definition. Today, many if not most folks regard the way of life he described as positive, and want their ‘piece of the pie.’
Even though there’s ‘background’ awareness, not often by any means in daily life does the price of the pie get right in our face. That price is the ongoing liquidation of our primary asset – our source of life – willing participation in the physically devastating and toxifying process of turning it into money. This appears to be due in large part to an unrecognized (‘normalized’) form of collective mental illness I call Alienation from Nature. Ultimately it facilitates the chaos, threat, and stress (more below).
Oh, we like Nature, marvel at it on TV, as we motor by, or even spend time in it. Missing, however, is the intimate communion, even a sense of oneness, found in many indigenous cultures with the natural world. That deep bond, or innate (common) sense, restrains/modulates Earth-liquidating developments. I often use two examples.
The ancient Hawaiians walked the forest for as long as it took to find a tree ready to become a canoe – a low-tech, albeit ingenious, non-polluting conveyance. On the other hand, although Native Americans knew about the wheel, they understood it intuitively as a potential major threat to the ‘Mother’ of life.
Cherokee song children heard growing up:
The Earth is our Mother.
Her sacred ground we walk upon with every step we take.
And there’s convincing evidence that the Native South Americans played a major role in the creation of the Amazon rain forest.
Compare the above to Nature-alienated, forest-leveling techno-moneyman: “Hey, there’s a virgin forest; let’s turn it into toilet paper and make some dough!”
In Nature-alienated, technomasturbating society, the sacred becomes a hunk of ‘natural resources’ to be mercilessly torn up and poisoned at will and whim to meet human ‘needs.’ What we tell ourselves.
Nature alienation has a corollary – an ‘enabler,’ so to speak – a pronounced techno-human character flaw called material fascination or lust, akin to addiction. In other words, when the deep fulfillment felt in communion with the natural world is lost or missing, compensation in the form of acquisitiveness sets in. Comedian George Carlin put his inimitable humor to it:
Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body.
I suppose it’s possible to want/have possessions without trying to be happy that way; but it’s no stretch to suggest that this drive is fundamental to the ‘prosperity/success’ syndrome that informs the American Dream and Pursuit of Happiness. Carlin’s comment on that:
It’s called the American dream ’cause you have to be asleep to believe it.
It’s suggested that destruction of that which provides and maintains life is inarguably suicidal, however ‘partial’ it is or slowly it may seem to proceed (threatening the future). This extends to many aspects of TS, such as the brilliant idea of growing food with poison, followed by toxic processing/packaging. Normalized insanity?
Material lust manifests as the “Conehead” consumer orgy, the (life-threatening) sine qua non of “The Economy” for which the planet and the kids are routinely sacrificed – mainly, poisoned. This enthusiasm manifests mostly without a second thought. The result is a plethora of ultimately landfill-bound products of ‘need,’ many unnecessary, totally frivolous, not to mention foolhardy, like ‘plastic’ clothing.
The very luxuries we pride ourselves on being able to afford are making us biologically poorer for having them. – Robert Ovetz, PhD, Sea Turtle Restoration Project
The excellent documentary Psywar, making the case that societal ‘reality’ or ‘normality’ is largely a psychological war or operation (psyop), suggests that consumerism is a seductive mechanism leading to enslavement. The Nature-alienated, acquisitive masses buy it as a hallmark of freedom.
The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country…we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind. – Edward Bernays, “Propaganda” 1928
Propaganda has become the primary means by which the wealthy [and powerful] communicate with the rest of us. – Psywar, Circa 2009
We are steeped in Economics 101 gobbledegook/jargon — “The means of production”, “supply and demand,” “the interest rate” (no one asks why, only how much), “the (‘free’) market,” eternal “economic growth” and so on. Add the enslavement called income tax, and neo-feudalism reigns.
Psywar includes a compelling description of the marvelous Native American Iroquois government, a thing of beauty with participation by all. Not a single word written; just a Wisdom tradition handed down orally. A tribal system (matriarchal) naturally resistant to corruption, although materialism had not displaced spiritual relationship with Earth. With disagreement on some points, this read is offered.
The Iroquois and other truly free Turtle Island nations were wiped out as Jackson would have recommended to create an illusion of freedom – a belief system founded on the ‘freedom’ to indulge acquisitiveness at Earth’s expense, while building your ‘fortune.’ An Elite operation from the outset.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free. – Goethe
Perhaps the most significant accomplishment of TS is to have taken an orb of countless miracles, stunning beauty, astounding harmony/interrelationship, and overwhelming abundance and turned it into an outhouse in the space of a mere 300 years or so. The best we do is make futile attempts to compensate for the madness, while indulging it. Addictive behavior?
What has been done to the planet to bring the ‘developed world’ to its present state is the best proof we have that where we are is not a good place to be. Would we have been so casual about it if we personally had to take the toxic load corresponding to our indulgences, instead of hand it off to our Mother? Of course, we do get a minor share of that load. Are we just meeting human needs — or wants, planet and health be damned?
What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her,
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn,
And tied her with fences and dragged her down.
I hear a very lonely sound…
The scream of the butterfly. – Jim Morrison
The best illustrative venue for consumer-mediated suicide is advanced technology. One thing is certain about most of it, regardless of perceived benefit: Somewhere along the line from extractivism (resource acquisition) to processing to manufacture, use, and disposal, it’s chemically/energetically ruinous to planet and biosphere. It might better be called toxnology. Planet-killing wireless technology encompasses that entire line as the ’poster-child’ for normalized insanity.
Then comes the icing on the insanity cake: We walk, run, ride, hop, skip and jump to send money down the sinkhole of conventional disease research to “find the cure”… actually, for our pathological way of life?
Author José Argüelles has taken heat for ‘prediction’ based on the ancient Mayan calendar, but he insightfully described advanced technology as a feedback loop of artificial dependencies, leading to [normalized] neurotic and addictive behavior. Similarly, Marshall McLuhan: “We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.” A vicious circle? Hi-tech heroin?
Only by the most outrageous violation of ourselves do we come into conformity with a society bent on its own destruction. – R.D. Laing
From Obsession/Addiction to Enslavement
Now, how does our posited collective mental illness lead to chaos, stress and the threat to freedom and self-determination?
By taping sandwiches, especially hi-tech and wireless ones, We People make it very easy for those we blame for our woes to inflict them upon us. Consumerism ultimately confers enormous wealth upon the psychopathic level of the global power structure that shapes TS and has long manipulated and controlled it.
Some argue that environmental damage is overstated in order to advance the CO2/climate-change agenda and its attendant tyranny, including the UN’s Agenda 21/30, global carbon tax, and so on. I suggest that destruction (often tax-deductible expenses), as a mainstay to wealth and power, is deliberate – exploitation of it being the other edge of the sword. Problem/Reaction/Solution.
With many technologies, especially wireless, the ecosystem and the most susceptible humans – the unborn – are knowingly targeted. What kind of mentality does that take? No compunction, sense of concern or remorse about whatever atrocity it takes to reach the goal: Psychopathic.
Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we’re being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I’m liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That’s what’s insane about it. – John Lennon
Wireless radiation is not only unavoidably life-negative, but foundational to the goal: Total global domination and control. I suggest the technocratic enslavement/surveillance/human-control system was/is the fundamental purpose of wireless, not telecom. It was nothing to lure the superficially fascinated, Nature-alienated masses, as well as green-eyed industry, into obsession with and addiction to this hi-tech ‘wheel.’
The Orwellian/Huxleyan scenarios pertained originally to IndustryGovernment and geopolitics, but that ‘end’ has become the means to engender total control in the technosphere. Special-interest politics, intrigue, clandestine operations and so on are slated to be supplanted by direct control at the individual and group mind levels.
Another threat … involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled and directed society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite whose claim to political power would rest on allegedly superior scientific knowhow. Unhindered by the restraints of traditional liberal values, this elite would not hesitate to achieve its political ends by using the latest modern techniques for influencing public behavior and keeping society under close surveillance and control. – Zbigniew Brzezinski, “Between Two Ages” (1970)
So the somewhat speculative probability is that grotesque consumer techno-worship is a pathologic/addictive syndrome significantly provoked by resonance between various technological iterations and aspects of collective mental illness eminently susceptible to Elite exploitation.
Fronts and Gofers Galore
When we point the finger, then, there are three pointing back. Few analyses of impending disaster today include consideration of ‘victim’ responsibility – conditioned though it may be. It’s Bill Gates, you know, or the World Economic Forum or WHO or USG or CIA (all Elite fronts/tools) or just about any discreet ‘other-than-us’ entity onto whom we can project culpability while maintaining toxic drop-shop indulgences.
The most important thing to know about Gates, upon whom much attention is being wasted, is that he, like tRump, Soros, Buffet, Koch, etc, are being ‘told’ what to do. These avaricious accumulators have no power — that is, the ability to set policy and have it followed — only wealth that brings influence to follow/execute policy. Gofers.
Focus on them is tantamount to running at windmills. Doubtful that the exposure or disappearance of any of them would result in a changed course. Too many players available.
Some players aren’t even aware of the Control-System Agenda they facilitate with their behavior and choices. Others could be mind-controlled. They operate in a system that is itself the problem, more than how it’s run is the problem, because it’s an Elite construct: A fundamental corruption designed to be further corrupted – with other Elite constructs that are themselves symptoms of societal illness.
That means that even if the more obvious ‘further’ corruptions occupying our attention are purged, we’re left with the basic one, belief in which has been powerfully bred. A system has been created in which one can barely turn around without contributing directly or indirectly to the suicidality of Earth damage/liquidation.
Constructs are often taken for granted as spontaneous, good or necessary developments. Like institutionalized government per se: Anti-tribal, patriarchal, ripe for infiltration, while the people remain largely distracted by materialistic pursuits and Dog-and-Pony-Show political Drama.
One of the most destructive Elite operations of all time was one nearly universally hailed as wondrous: The planet-assaulting Industrial Revolution. Begun in England and duplicated on Turtle Island by the invaders, it was attended by the introduction of toxic (leftover WW I chemical warfare agents) monoculture agriculture, which economically destroyed millions of family farms to create city-bound fodder for manufacturing dungeons. But boy, did we put the wheel to use.
Private/central banking and interest-bearing debt comprise another enslaving construct, the Elite’s death grip on nations and people.
There are two ways to conquer and enslave a nation. One is by the sword. The other is by debt. – John Adams
The legal system, created to control the powerless, while power operates above it, is another.
The ancient manipulative process was carried forward under the illusion of American (or other) independence. No such thing happened, except on paper and in the imagination of the faithful. It merely went from overt control by power to covert control by same. Diabolical.
The psychopath manipulators are nothing if not as brilliant as they are utterly ruthless. The “Deep State,” a large group of policy executing gofers, some quite unaware as noted, are frequently conflated with them. The rabbit hole of Elite manipulation might be a bit deeper than some researchers have described.
The grand oxymoron of TS: Conditioned or reinforced dependence for ‘prosperity’ and even survival on self-destructive, ultimately suicidal, ways and means. I call it the “Idiotized Society.” Vandana Shiva puts it very well:
The tragedy of the susceptibility of TS to psychopathic influence is made more poignant by the fact that all humanity ever had to do, really, was to protect and nurture the miraculous orb. Many things would then have simply fallen into place. Other things, simply rejected as ‘insane’.
It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society. – Krishnamurti
Flight of the Utopia
You might see/hear the notion that we can ‘pull out’ of the system and create ‘enclaves’ operating ‘underground.’ The classic ‘counter-culture’ paradigm, even using cryptocurrency, which runs along the lines of the planned cashless society. The plan suggests the continued embrace of hi-tech (as in ‘technological solutions’), especially if any (exposure-reduced) wireless technology is included. As if, somehow, high ideals will end its inarguable, fundamental threat to planet and health. It seems like fantasy on several levels.
After all, even if the plan weren’t being broadcast, which it is, try to imagine the controllers not knowing about, or being unable to infiltrate and/or scuttle, it – by a variety of means, including nanotech. It seems rather unlikely that psychopaths at the helm of power would stand by and let anyone create an alternative to their digitized, cyborg-populated, AI-driven, robotized surveillance/control-system nightmare.
The promised, techno-shiny future is suicide. We’re plummeting toward it with hi-tech velocity – electric vehicles (EV), for example. It also includes Elite psyops like sustainable development and clean, renewable energy. The drive for ever-more energy to support technomasturbation recalls Argüelles and McCluhan.
For example, here’s your wind power. Here’s your solar power. Here’s your sustainable development. Reading between the lines in the latter suggests why Bolivia’s Evo Morales was demonized and ousted, and why both the US and China are hovering there for lithium. And why Congo (cobalt), for example, has long been exploited and subjected to genocide for business purposes (must-see also).
A bit more obvious in the minerals article is the plan to assault ocean floors, all in the name of what is perhaps the worst aspect of the minerals issue: its basis in the global Elite psyop known as CO2 Climate Change. Here’s an excellent account of the creation/funding of the IPCC by the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation: The Rockefeller Way: The Family’s Covert Climate Change Plan
That worst aspect is closely followed by the purported ‘need’ to expand the number of EV passenger cars to 965 million by 2050. Thus, the earth must be even more immensely raped and poisoned to save it from carbon. Not to mention that the EMF fields in and around these vehicles, including microwave emitters irradiating the vicinity, are quite pathological. A superb example of normalized insanity.
Environmental and health devastations are the ‘price’ of a centralized power (especially under UN Agenda 21/30), to monitor, track, data-mine, file, index and micromanage every aspect of human life – on a global scale (perhaps competing East and West Elite factions — hi-tech wars just for fun).
The suggested general principle, as evidenced above with the lithium issue, is that the way of life/standard of living embraced in the techno-world is entirely incompatible with peace, social justice, and health. Instead of ‘meeting energy demands,’ the survival key might be to drastically reduce them, no matter the source, as well as to ‘de-technologize.’
Maybe we need to consider that we’re so far down the wrong road, not just politically and governmentally, but in fundamental popular beliefs and sense of reality, population levels, and overall way of life, that attempting remediation prior to a remarkable evolution in mass consciousness will be like trying to fix a watch with a pipe wrench.
Preventing the evolvement of consciousness is a primary goal of the Illuminati. Their central mechanism is the injection of chaos into the system, also known as Problem, Reaction, Solution. What they fear most is widespread realization that the materialistic reality they’ve been selling and nurturing puts us on death row in a (now wireless) mind-prison — even as it has appeared to work properly and been entertaining.
There’s no easy way out of the predicament we’re in, however, when ‘innocence’ is lost in Nature-alienated society. IF realization strikes in time, it will probably require courage we ask of soldiers, who’ve been primarily engaged from the outset in unwittingly paving the way for the Earth-liquidating corporate rape that maintains materialistic addiction bolstering Elite societal control. Just ask Marine Maj Gen Smedley Butler.
Thus, if we don’t stand and face down the current system, in which addiction/obsession rule and upon which comfort and even survival depend, it will be as Thoreau has said, to paraphrase: Hacking at the branches of evil instead of the root.
A simpler, slower, more harmonious and Earth-loving, less artificially techno-dependent, less self-obsessed, more agriculturally based (organic), and cottage-industry way of life is strongly indicated. System rebuild.
Get Real or Get “Lost”
I’ve suggested repeatedly in other work, one of the greatest blows we could strike against the existing and coming tyranny is to quit wireless technology per se – not just “Stop 5G!” as the dangerous, misguided mantra goes.
Even aware people refrain from this revolutionary act by rationalizing that “people won’t do it”, so it doesn’t make any difference. But it has to begin somewhere, obviously with those who understand the several dire threats. Unfortunately, many of them, in shameless hypocrisy, continue anyway.
And also comes the futile, fatal, ecocidal pipe dreams of “biologically based” exposure standards, “reducing exposure,” and “safe,” “safer,” or “responsible” technology. A gaggle of oxymorons.
There is no alternative. If we don’t quit wireless, the prison keepers and their operatives will have us by the short hairs until we have no choice at all.
Total societal and individual control could be very close to implementation by way of digital/microwave mind control. Just do a search (don’t use Google) for Ross Adey for very early work in this area. See this page for an overview of microwave mind-control.
Although quantum physics is catching up, science has long been manipulated into a stultified, myopic, reductionist, empirical approach. In that sense, it has served the function of religious dogma in displacing in wider society ancient knowledge of the nature of being, wherein people might appreciate another perspective on who and what they and their surroundings are. Please see Polarity, Yes … Matter? Not So Sure
Would society have developed more harmoniously had it not succumbed to techno-fascination and acquisitiveness? Would we still have brought ourselves to the brink of extinction by converting source of life to waste dump?
The Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University says, “What is the nature of Global Consciousness?… Coherent consciousness creates order in the world. Subtle interactions link us with each other and the Earth,” the operative words being “order” and “subtle.”
“The mountains, rivers, earth, grasses, trees, and forests are always emanating a subtle, precious light, day and night, always emanating a subtle, precious sound, demonstrating and expounding to all people the unsurpassed ultimate truth.” – Yuan-Sou
Are we ‘seeing’ and ‘listening’? Or are we neurotically fingering pathological wireless devices, talking to appliances via our ovary-assaulting Smart ‘hockey puck,’ or otherwise thinning the thread life is hanging by?
