In this interview, Spiro’s guest is former CIA Operative and author Verne Lyon. Mr. Lyon’s life was forever changed when he was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency at a young age. Lyon goes into detail about some of his work with the CIA, including his role in Operation Chaos, which is the largest illegal CIA operation to be exposed in the United States to date.
Lyon also chronicles his story of how he was set up, or framed by the CIA, which ultimately landed him in prison, but not before he carried out an overseas mission that led to the agency turning on Lyon, an international manhunt and his kidnapping.
