Who Is Russian Lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya?

By Aaron Kesel

On Sunday, The New York Times followed up with a report that stated Trump Jr. “was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before agreeing to meet with the Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer Natalia Vaselnitskaya during the 2016 campaign.”

Those in attendance of the meeting besides Trump Jr. included — Paul Manafort, President Trump’s campaign manager at the time, and Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and current advisor according to The Times.

The person who set up the meeting was Rob Goldstone, a music publicist and personal friend of Trump Jr.

Goldstone has been active with the Miss Universe pageant once owned by Trump and works as a manager for Emin Agalarov, a Russian pop star.

Members of the president’s legal team have identified Goldstone as the acquaintance “who sought the meeting is associated with Fusion GPS,” according to a report by Circa News.

Viewing Vaselnitskaya’s Instagram and Facebook it becomes apparent she is heavily anti-Trump and anti-Putin, so why would she claim she has evidence to help Trump from the Kremlin? It becomes quickly obvious that something is not right and does not add up.

Veselnitskaya even posted an anti-Trump article on her Facebook page four days prior to her meeting with Donald Trump Jr. on June 9th. So was she a plant to sell the “Russia hacked the election” narrative or a patsy since she doesn’t know much English?

Full archive of Veselnitskaya’s Facebook can be seen here.

The article she posted was entitled “NY Attorney General: Trump University Is a Straight Up Fraud Case (Video)” regarding the investigation into Trump University for fraud.

Here’s where things get weird and what the mainstream media is refusing to talk about. Not only is she adamantly anti-Trump but she is coincidentally connected to Fusion GPS – the same firm that former MI6 Christopher Steele was employed by to collect information on then-candidate Donald Trump.

According to Veselnitskaya’s affidavit filed in New York in January 2016, she managed to get “special permission” to enter the United States after having been denied a visa. Her company, Kamerton Consulting, defended Denis Katsyv, representing his company Prevezon Holdings. The actual date of the hearing in the case U.S. v. Prevezon Holdings was the exact same date as the meeting in Trump Tower — June 9th 2016.

Prevezon Holdings is a beneficiary of Fusion GPS, reported Circa News.

Katsyv is the son of a vice president of state-owned Russian Railways who was charged with money laundering in the United States over a case tied to an alleged massive Russian tax fraud scheme. That case was settled in New York in May for $6 million dollars.

Veselnitskaya has for several years been leading a campaign to have the Magnitsky Act overturned by the U.S. government – an Act that was established after Sergei Magnitsky a lawyer with investment advisory Hermitage Capital died in prison. Magnitsky uncovered the alleged $230 million dollar Russian tax fraud scheme.

The Act was put into U.S. law to target those Russians who may have been responsible for his death.

As part of her effort she allegedly hired GPS Fusion. A complaint filed last year by Senator Chuck Grassley claimed that Fusion GPS headed a pro-Russia campaign to kill the Magnitsky Act.

Fusion has denied claims that it facilitated the meeting between Veselnitskaya and Trump Jr. despite having ties to the Russian lawyer and employing someone for opposition research within the same time frame of the meeting.

“Fusion GPS learned about this meeting from news reports and had no prior knowledge of it. Any claim that Fusion GPS arranged or facilitated this meeting in any way is false,” Fusion GPS said.

Veselnitskaya also denied claims that she spoke about any matters regarding the presidential campaign at the meeting.

“Nothing at all about the presidential campaign [was discussed at the meeting. I have] never acted on behalf of the Russian government never discussed any of these matters with any representative of the Russian government.” Veselnitskaya told The New York Times.

Veselnitskaya told NBC News on Monday she was not with the Kremlin as was reported by The New York Times.

Kamerton Consulting, is based in a Moscow suburb and does not even have a website, which begs the question is it a shell company?

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Monday that the Kremlin is unaware of a meeting between Trump’s senior staff and Veselnitskaya and “does not know who that is.”

“No, we don’t know who that is and obviously we can’t monitor all meetings Russian lawyers hold both in Russia and abroad,” Dmitry Peskov said.

It’s has also been reported that Veselnitskaya was seen sitting next to Obama’s Ambassador to Russia, Michael McFaul, during a Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Russia and the Ukraine that took place on June 14, 2016, 8 days after meeting Trump Jr.

She also helped set up an event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. where pro-Russian supporters showed a movie that challenged the Magnitsky Act.

Then there is the fact that Obama’s Justice Department at the behest of Loretta Lynch allowed Veselnitskaya into the U.S. right before the meeting at Trump Tower.

The question on everyone’s mind now is, Who is Natalia Veselnitskaya and why was she seated at a committee hearing on Russia and the Ukraine? Only time will bring more answers to who this woman really is.

  1. Dig deeper. This is a rubbish article. Planned Disinformation?
Google(How Russia-gate Met the Magnitsky Myth consortium news )
A documentary debunking the Magnitsky myth, which was an opening salvo in the New Cold War, was largely blocked from viewing in the West but has now become a factor in Russia-gate… Near the center of the current furor over Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer in June 2016 is a documentary that almost no one in the West has been allowed to see, a film that flips the script on the story of the late Sergei Magnitsky and his employer, hedge-fund operator William Browder…. the project took an unexpected turn when Nekrasov’s research kept turning up contradictions to Browder’s storyline, which began to look more and more like a corporate cover story. Nekrasov discovered that a woman working in Browder’s company was the actual whistleblower and that Magnitsky – rather than a crusading lawyer – was an accountant who was implicated in the scheme….

    • The issue is that the Trump team sought to collude with what they were told by a friend was a rep of the Russian government to defeat Clinton. The rest is static.

Loretta Lynch let her in – says it all.

    • How so? She was allowed in as a defense attorney in a legal case in NY. That Trump Jr and team jumped to collude with Russia actually says it all, right in the email chain. How long will you make excuses for an illegitimate and oafish but dangerous usurper?

      • Are all Russian people agents of the Kremlin to you? If she is that, why did Obama’s DOJ allow her in with out a visa and let her attend congressional hearings? Do you have any proof she actually is involved in the ‘legal case’ you mention?

      • “That Trump Jr and team jumped to collude with Russia actually says it all, right in the email chain. ”

CNN seems the only ones continuing to hawk the Russia story. Oh it’s CNN, that says it all.

CNN is owned and operated by the C.I.A which does in point of fact operate various terrorist organizations, runs drugs and arms all over the globe. Obama let it ride that any media can lie deliberately for any aspect of our own government, C.I.A, Homeland, E.P.A, CDC, FDA, FEMA and right on down the line. Heard tell recently too that CNN admitted they (CNN) made the whole bullshit about Russia up as a fabrication to smear Trump.

You think the C.I.A who Trump said he would start cutting funding to might perchance retaliate against Trump? No, no such thing like that has ever happened. Gee, not even the J.F.K thing that the media still seems content to attribute to a single crap shooting shot with a Mauser rifle. And no, I do not mean one round of ammo, I mean one lone killer. There were two other assassinations on that day, very near to or exactly timed to concur all in unison. Stuff like that goes beyond one man.

I recall one of the others being in Italy I think. I’m sure you can adequately use a search engine and do your own research. At present, I cannot recall exact details well enough but do recall that such did occur from past research. I’m very tired and dealt with some rough personal matter today, not quite up to recalling a fresh research, apologies.

  5. Stop it! Stop participating in the lies and distraction and bring us some SOLUTION articles. Geez

  6. Is me knowing who they are, or not relevant to my mowing later today, or the rain we’re expecting? I doubt it is at all. Is it relevant to me making a pot of coffee and enjoying some vegetative televised entertainment, or at least what attempts passing as entertainment? Doubt that too. Is it relevant to my frustration over the now all “happy happy joy joy” of WV legalizing growing industrial hemp? Doubt that as well.

“Well piss, …” Doesn’t seem this is relevant at all to me. What do I care of politics beyond knowing all politicians are crooks of the worst order? Not a thing. I do not vote because I know if my voting did achieve a thing, it would be outlawed. So, yeah it is all seeming more and more clear day by day. All of this bullshit to me is just that, bullshit.

Can we get articles about advances in solar panel technology? Maybe a human interest story on well, the fireman in Podunk, AS, USA that saved the farmer’s farm just because it was the “right thing to do”. Let us read about how geothermal might be coming along to provide a better picture for renewable energy. Care to tackle why we don’t got flying cars yet? You might explain why Sun Perch eggs are not considered good as a caviar product. Teach us to grow bigger turnips and cabbage?

    • The far right has achieved its goal with you: total cynicism, voluntary voter suppression, deliberate irrelevance.

      • Right, left it doesn’t matter nor never did to me. Crooks are crooks, and spades are spades from what I see being done. Cynic? No, not me, not fully yet anyway. I like Heraclitus of Ephesus far better, more stoic over all.

I cannot choose what others do, politician or street beggar. Which has more relevance to me? Neither one really, yet I would rather give benefit of doubt to street beggar. Although, I know in D.C. you have professional street beggars that drive home to opulent Georgetown Brownstones. Not cynical to be capable of seeing reality for reality. The way up is the way down, all the same. Doubt it is irrelevant either but you ramble on as I’m sure you likely shall.

        • The goal of creating apathetic cynics is to create people who don’t care, who lump all together, who ramble and are irrelevant. You are exactly what the far right wants: people who don’t care, don’t vote, and don’t resist.

        • All is corrupt so why care, why vote: total cynicism.

Heraclitus was called “The Obscure” and the “Weeping Philosopher”. Wikipedia (with primary sources) states: quoting
Diogenes: “Finally, he became a hater of his kind (misanthrope) and wandered the mountains … making his diet of grass and herbs.”
Heraclitus’ life as a philosopher was interrupted by dropsy. The physicians he consulted were unable to prescribe a cure. Diogenes lists various stories about Heraclitus’ death: In two versions, Heraclitus was cured of the dropsy and died of another disease. In one account, however, the philosopher “buried himself in a cowshed, expecting that the noxious damp humour would be drawn out of him by the warmth of the manure”, while another says he treated himself with a liniment of cow manure and, after a day prone in the sun, died and was interred in the marketplace. According to Neathes of Cyzicus, after smearing himself with dung, Heraclitus was devoured by dogs.”

Stoicism has two very different meanings:
1.the endurance of pain or hardship without a display of feelings and without complaint. (ie masochism)
2 “Marcus Aurelius defines several such practices. For example, in Book II.I:
Say to yourself in the early morning: I shall meet today ungrateful, violent, treacherous, envious, uncharitable men. All of the ignorance of real good and ill… I can neither be harmed by any of them, for no man will involve me in wrong, nor can I be angry with my kinsman or hate him; for we have come into the world to work together…”

This coming together to work together refrain from hatred not only points to active citizenship (voting, protesting, participating, etc) but it is the opposite of the misanthropy of Heraclitus.

I think you are adrift casting about for excuses to do nothing.

  7. If I were a Russian operative, I would
    1. disguise myself as say, an attorney, or lobbyist
    2. post anti-Trump messages to further provide deniability
    3. then lobby for a pro-Putin cause ????

The pertinent fact is that the Trump team actively wanted to collude with what was described to them as a government representative to defeat Clinton.

The defense: the attorney was actually anti-Trump, tho the Trump friend who set up the meeting described her as a rep of the Russian government, which he said was seeking to help Trump win. Wink wink.

    • They never said Russian “government”, why do you add words to help your view? Does the truth not work by itelf?
Democrats work with Russians to set up fake meeting to be used as excuse to get a FISA warrant to wiretap Trump, then illegally unmask names.

      • Who the hell is “they?” I am speaking of the Trump friend and Russian advocate who set up the meeting:
“On Jun 3, 2016, at 10:36 AM, Rob Goldstone wrote:
        Good morning
Emin just called and asked me to contact you with something very interesting.
The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.
This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump – helped along by Aras and Emin.
What do you think is the best way to handle this information and would you be able to speak to Emin about it directly?
I can also send this info to your father via Rhona, but it is ultra sensitive so wanted to send to you first.
        Rob Goldstone

“On Jun 3, 2016, at 10:53, Donald Trump Jr. wrote:
Thanks Rob I appreciate that. I am on the road at the moment but perhaps I just speak to Emin first. Seems we have some time and if it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer. Could we do a call first thing next week when I am back?

“On Jun 7, 2016, at 4:20 PM, Rob Goldstone wrote:
        Hope all is well
Emin asked that I schedule a meeting with you and The Russian government attorney who is flying over from Moscow for this Thursday.
I believe you are aware of the meeting – and so wondered if 3pm or later on Thursday works for you?
I assume it would be at your office.
        Rob Goldstone”

The source: Donald Trump Jr who said he would love to meet with the “Russian government attorney.”

“Does the truth not work by itself?”

There is zero evidence this was a fake meeting (the attorney has been working to repeal the odious laws which Putin hates) and even if it were, Trump was willing to colllude with a “Russian government attorney” as his close familyi friend Goldstone described her, to defeat Clinton.

The emails speak for themselves. The shit has hit the fan. Your conspiracy theories defend Trump but lack any evidence. The evidence that Trump Jr. said he would love to work with “a Russian government attorney” is evidence of conspiracy to collude.

You will deny this as you are a blind follower of the Liar in Chief, whose son has just thrown him under the bus.
