United Nations Admits to Accidentally Releasing Cholera in Haiti, Killing 10,000 People

The United Nations has admitted responsibility for the 2010 cholera epidemic in Haiti which killed more than ten thousand people.

Nearly six years after a cholera epidemic killed thousands of Haitians, the United Nations secretary general has confessed that U.N. peacekeepers likely caused the illness to spread. The admission of guilt comes after a report prepared by Philip Alston, a human rights lawyer and U.N. special rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, was leaked to the NY Times.

In a confidential report to Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Alston states that the epidemic “would not have broken out but for the actions of the United Nations.” Ban Ki-moon released a statement confirming that the United Nations played a role in the epidemic, but did not explicitly acknowledge the organization’s role in creating the crisis.

The New York Times reports:

For the first time since a cholera epidemic believed to be imported by United Nation peacekeepers began killing thousands of Haitians nearly six years ago, the office of Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has acknowledged that the United Nations played a role in the initial outbreak and that a “significant new set of U.N. actions” will be needed to respond to the crisis.

The deputy spokesman for the secretary general, Farhan Haq, said in an email this week that “over the past year, the U.N. has become convinced that it needs to do much more regarding its own involvement in the initial outbreak and the suffering of those affected by cholera.” He added that a “new response will be presented publicly within the next two months, once it has been fully elaborated, agreed with the Haitian authorities and discussed with member states.

The 19-page report from Alston describes the failures of the U.N.’s handling of the outbreak. The U.N. initially sent rescue workers into Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. By mid-October 2010, people along the Meille River began dying from cholera. Victims of cholera typically die from dehydration caused by diarrhea and vomiting. A group of rescue workers have long been suspected of contributing to the outbreak which lead to the deaths of at least 10,000 people. According to The Times, “the first victims lived near a base housing 454 United Nations peacekeepers freshly arrived from Nepal, where a cholera outbreak was underway, and waste from the base often leaked into the river.”

Beatrice Lindstrom, a lawyer with the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH), called the U.N.’s admission “a groundbreaking first step towards justice.” Following the cholera outbreak, the IJDH  filed a lawsuit against the United Nations on behalf of the cholera victims. “Up until now, the U.N. had refused to engage in any kind of conversation about their role in the cholera outbreak. It is still, though, far from being a formal apology,” told Reuters in a telephone interview.

Ban Ki-moon’s Deputy spokesman Haq told the Washington Post Alston’s report would likely be published in late September and presented by Ban at the U.N. General Assembly in October. Haq insisted that the U.N. welcomed the “vital report,” calling it a “valuable contribution to the U.N. as we work toward a significantly new set of U.N. actions.”

The United Nations has thus far not mentioned firing any officials or restructuring their leadership in response to the failures in Haiti. The controversy over the handling of Haiti and the spread of cholera is only one of many criticisms lodged at the U.N. As The Washington Post notes:

It follows accusations this year that U.N. peacekeepers have committed rape and murder in the Central African Republic, and more recently that they failed to defend aid workers against brutal attacks in South Sudan.

Critics say these scandals have laid bare the United Nations’ struggles to police its forces and investigate claims of wrongdoing and abuse, whether in cases of negligence — such as Haiti — or the allegations of more serious crimes in Africa.

To the conspiratorial-minded readers the U.N. confession may be a part of something more nefarious. It is well documented that the U.N. has an interest in tracking population growth and promoting methods of population control. In fact, Christiana Figueres,  Executive Secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), is on record stating that “we should make every effort” to reduce the world’s population. There is also the issue of National Security Memorandum 200, which was completed with the help of Henry Kissinger. The memo describes steps the United States should take to promote population control methods, including using organizations such as the U.N. to promote the agenda.

What are your thoughts? Was the spread of cholera in Haiti an unfortunate accident, or is there more to the picture? Leave your thoughts below.

Another good reason to shoot the blue helmets first. Let’s hope the morons in DC never succumb to the desire to have UN troops in America. The bloodbath would definitely extend well into their AO.

  2. It begs the question what would the United Nations be doing possessing cholera anywhere? This is WMD they released not a few chickens or hogs with flu. This is germ warfare they engaged in.

Exactly. It was probably a test run for when the Nato troops on our soil release something deadlier to winnow the American population.

    • Not trying to defend the UN by any means but, Cholera is pretty common, ~ 5 million cases a year mostly in undeveloped nations. At the time, the 7th major global cholera outbreak in 200 years was underway and apparently some of the Nepalese peacekeepers were infected (some don’t show symptoms or it’s mild and under good sanitation conditions <1% die ). What looked bad here was the UN stonewalled until enough evidence and DNA analysis could conclusively show the outbreak of cholera in Haiti was from sewer contamination spreading to a river.

How does one ‘accidentally’ release a WMD after a horrible earthquake, upon a poor nation, controlled by the EMPIRE? WHO actually ‘dropped’ the vial of cholera to get that ball rolling?

  4. It opens the door for a halt to moving UN soldiers into the US to occupy the UN vehicle that are part of the new UN police force being brought to bear on American cities. We import the diseases with the troops just like taking in refugees that do not have to be vetted first for infections, STD’s, or criminal back ground checks considering the rape and pillage from the UN soldiers in their other assignments. Who’s in charge of this circus anyway???

UN “Peace Troops” have a long and infamous history of rape, theft and robbery. With such friends, you do not need an enemy. As the UN is controlled by the US, so called peace missions are disguised invasions. Some morons from third world countries are the puppets and the US are pulling the strings.

    • The UN has its tentacles in all nation states. Take a look at the long list of those implementing the UN Agendas and kowtowing to the entire criminal network: BIS, WHO, IMF, World Bank, IPCC, etc.

    • The UN is not controlled by the US. The US is controlled by the UN, the apex of the globalist’s plan for OWG. We are a major and willing (on the part of government) puppet in their agenda.

  7. If the United Nations truly had any interest in population control of a humane nature, they wouldn’t allow the Vatican a seat on the United Nation’s Population Council where the Vatican has vetoed every single birth control measure for the past 50+ years. Remarkably, in the past 50 years, the Earth has gained another 5 Billion human residents. Or, does the UN only have an interest in population control if the reduction of population is accomplished by disease, war, pestilence, starvation and harm?

    • What makes you think the UN is interested, or concerned, with “humane” anything?

The Vatican’s vote has not stopped the UN from distributing birth control. They are also involved in the practices of forced sterilization, including through vaccines. And all those things you listed? Those, too.

  8. I know Trump will have a busy agenda once elected, but I hope he finds the time to tell the UN to pack
their bags and move out, the UN building is going to be demolished. They can relocate the to
some 3rd World dust bin where they can demonstrate their wonderful powers of control.

  9. One must first have cholera to “accidentally” release it.. WTF were they doing with cholera?
accident my astrolabe! CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY IS WHAT IT WAS/ IS!

did you not read the article? Troops were in Nepal … Cholera was in Nepal ..troops were moved without quarantine .. some of those troops obviously [now] had Cholora. mistake/accident … bit slow to admit is the only guilt I see.

      • A bit slow. You got that right.

        • and you like your compatriot douglas, have never researched the myriad of lies spewed by the UN and their agents.. and yet “in your opinion” I’m alleged to be the slow one.. brilliant!

        • Jonathan Miller | August 22, 2016 at 10:57 pm | Reply

Uh, yeah, he is…a bit slow. Cholera “accidentally” killed 10K… But it was OK, the disease spreaders were “from the government and were there to help.” That makes them, the victims, less dead…

      • Ohh, you’re buying into their lie.. funny. Research isn’t your strong suit, is it?
You SHOULD “but in reality won’t” research the following phrase “United Nations caught lying”

      • Slow? I’d say so, since this was reported when it happened, and the finger of blame was pointing squarely at the UN and their “peacekeepers”, even then.

Haiti has been purposely used as a testing ground for elitist goals for sometime now. After the earthquake, the Clintons (through the Clinton Foundation) took the opportunity to go in and gain complete control of the island and it’s resources (gold, slave labour). Ever since the Haitian people have become little more than lab-rats, and no mainstream media organization wil report upon this abomination.
Haiti has always been a basket-case, and the US has always encouraged that fact: dabbling in local politics, aiding corrupt dictatorships, disrupting popular movements. That has always been evident, but now since the Clinton Foundation has taken control of the Island, the social engineering and experimentation upon the local populace has reached a whole new level.

    • We have to end this lot. Now! Time is running out and we cant just let it continue on like this. We are next…

  11. How many of the 454 UN “peacekeepers” didn’t make it?

  12. In today’s world there are no accidents or coincidences.

wars will not and never ever will make peace!!!

I think you are making a conspiracy out of a bad call on moving troops from an area they should have been quarantined in , to a disaster area . … Your population control mention is absolutely off the wall conspiracy theory of a border line crazy person. … The waste leakage is sloppy management but in a disaster area may not have been so easy to have not happen. …. The admission and subsequent settling of the lawsuit is a good thing.

    • I’m not even going to bother with providing links for you. If you don’t know about the easily verified and thoroughly documented depopulation program by now, then you’re either a fool, a shill, or asleep.

  15. Genofriggincide? Corp/charity takeover? OMG please handle these people.

  16. So pray tell, how do you ACCIDENTALLY release a disease???????????

Always be a light that is shininginthedark

  17. There are never any accidents when the UN is involved

  18. Definitely conspired this damn sure wouldn’t happen in the USA and stuff like this always conveniently happens in countries with high population of black skin people

  19. The UN is an agent of satan. God will crush it completely when He returns. In the meantime Lord help strengthen us to preach your Word and expose this evil.

It does not say exactly how was the bacterial infection introduced. Cholera is not known to be a biological mass killer, since it spreads through ingestion only of contaminated food or water and is easily curable. This could be cover up for something bigger.
