There will be no more discussion as to whether or not humans are contributing to climate change in the Portland, Oregon public school system, as the school board plans to ban all material that denies the existence of man-made climate change.
Although the topic is still being heavily debated within the scientific community, young and impressionable students will now only receive the politically correct side of the issue.
‘Man is causing climate change, no questions asked.’

In a move spearheaded by environmentalists, the Portland Public Schools board unanimously approved a resolution aimed at eliminating doubt of climate change and its causes in schools.
“It is unacceptable that we have textbooks in our schools that spread doubt about the human causes and urgency of the crisis,” said Lincoln High School student Gaby Lemieux in board testimony. “Climate education is not a niche or a specialization, it is the minimum requirement for my generation to be successful in our changing world.”
The resolution passed Tuesday evening calls for the school district to get rid of textbooks or other materials that cast doubt on whether climate change is occurring and that the activity of human beings is responsible. The resolution also directs the superintendent and staff to develope an implementation plan for “curriculum and educational opportunities that address climate change and climate justice in all Portland Public Schools.”
During board testimony, Bill Bigelow, a former PPS teacher and current editor of ReThinking Schools, a magazine devoted to education issues, claimed that the science on man-made climate change was settled and that current “text materials are kind of thick with the language of doubt.”
“‘Carbon dioxide emissions from motor vehicles, power plants and other sources, may contribute to global warming,’” Bigelow quoted Physical Science published by Pearson as saying. “This is a section that could be written by the Exxon public relations group and it’s being taught in Portland schools.”
For years, there have been thousands of scientists dissenting against the idea of anthropogenic climate change. So now that this former public school teacher makes the speculative claim that big fossil fuel may be influencing the literature, the school board will cut off all debate.
This is brainwashing.

Today The crown of greatest liar to ever occupy that position goes to Barack Obama who has even suggested that Climate Change, which was called Global Warming up to a few years ago when the conference on Global Warming had to be cancelled in Boston due to a blizzard, was responsible for terrorism.
Of course Obama lives in his own delusional sociopathic paradise of lies, and blaming the weather for terrorism is just another mad assertion from his insane mind.
Since then Global Warming has morphed into Climate Change, and that way The Liars on high can cover any contingency.
The reason there is such a big fuss about Global Warming, er…Climate Change is because this is a deal in which the elites and powerful across the planet can subjugate, and fleece the rest of the population of trillions of dollars, while exercising draconian control over everything, including thought and free speech which I would suggest is in far greater peril than anything ever caused by Global Warming….I mean Climate Change….Maybe someone can tell me if Climate Change is such a big issue why does Michele Obama fly all over the globe with her entourage to whoop it up?

When you want Federally funded schools, you get this kind of nonsense. The answer is to remove your kids from public school. Do it to a degree where public school attendance reaches unheard of low proportions.
The schools are just doing what they have to do to receive Federal funding. Since the schools won’t turn down the money, simply remove your kids from the schools. They’ll learn more at home.

If this “green house gas”, CO2, is really so bad, then why is it used to nurture plants? Plants take in CO2 and sunlight, and make food out of it, not only for the plant itself, but US TOO!! With the Internet and other alternative media out there, it’s time for parents to remove their kids from the indoctrination centers aka public schools and start teaching them at home. This way, the kids will be learning what’s really important for future careers – by simply using computers with subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, geography, history, etc. and leaving out the Communist Core drivel.
Nobody’s denying climate change; the Earth’s climate’s been changing for over a billion years, and humans have been occupying this planet for a mere 200,000 years – a drop in the bucket – compared to the planet’s existence. In reality, human activity comprises a mere 2% for climate change. The Sun and volcanic activity are the two major factors that affect the planet’s climate. Not even CO2 has any real effect on the climate; instead, this “greenhouse gas” is essential to nurture plants. Plants take in CO2 and sunlight for photosynthesis and give off oxygen, for animals and humans to breathe.
Al Gore started this “man-made global warming” hoax here in the US in 2001 as a money-making scheme; and, yes, he’s profited greatly through speeches given nationwide, as well as producing the film “An Inconvenient Truth”. However, when the planet’s climate didn’t follow his script and grew cooler, Al vanished from the scene. As we can see, the truth doesn’t need a defense, since it can stand very well on its own .. A lie, on the other hand, is unable to do so; and that’s why the “global warming” hoaxers are doing everything possible to make it into a religion.

That’s a disingenuous, and even dangerous assertion to make within an article that should be giving kudos across the board to Portland for having decided to regain their collective sanity.
There may be scientists, perhaps some meteorologists, who I don’t think qualify as scientists, who are still debating this. And almost without exception if you follow the money you find that the denialists are corporate-bought. Those within the science of climatology are all but in agreement. Any who are not, again just follow the money…
Portland realizes that Mother Nature doesn’t give a flying F*CK what we humans believe anyway. Global Warming is here now. And while we fight and throw capitalist tantrums over the threat to our petty personal portfolios, we are gonna literally find ourselves extinct if we continue do so.
