DEA To Look At “Rescheduling” Marijuana Over Next Few Months

It is one of the most tragically comedic aspects of the War on Drugs that marijuana is classed in the same category as heroin and LSD by the U.S. Federal Government. Such a ridiculous classification would truly be worth laughing at if it did not bring along with it mass incarcerations, militaristic policing, untold millions of wasted money and a general police state.

The utterly useless Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) currently lists marijuana as a Schedule 1 drug, a list reserved for “the most dangerous drugs” that have “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse.” If one did not suspect that the U.S. Government’s War on Drugs was actually a cover for enslaving its citizenry, then he would be justified in wondering where the DEA has intellectually been since it was created.

Just to clarify – according to the DEA, marijuana is significantly more dangerous than cocaine. (Yes, you read that right.) That classification, however, might potentially change over the next few months. That is because the DEA has announced plans to decide “in the first half of 2016” whether or not the agency will reschedule marijuana. If the DEA should indeed reclassify the plant down to either Schedule 2 or Schedule 3, the decision would most likely open the door much wider when it comes to greater research regarding marijuana’s medicinal value.

The legal marijuana industry also stands to gain from any reclassification. But before anyone gets too excited, the DEA and the Federal Government are not suggesting that marijuana become legal at the federal level – it is only suggesting the reclassification of the plant. In other words, the U.S. Government is itself attempting to reclassify its policy on marijuana from incurable insanity to crippling and severe mental health issues.

Despite the fact that virtually everything the DEA says and does in its policy toward marijuana is inaccurate and counterproductive, we encourage the agency to take a step in the right direction and delist marijuana from the classification of Schedule 1 substances.

  1. This needs to happen for the “legal” cannabis industry to have normalized banking relations. Of course you can be sure the Banksters are pushing for this move to line their pockets. No matter, Cannabis should never have been a scheduled drug in the first place.

  2. In the May-June 1995 issue of The Utne Reader, former New York DEA Chief Michael Levine writes of the devastating War On Drugs. He speaks of “the legions of belly-crawlers in Government employ”. One of my experiences – after I got out of the Army during the Vietnam War, a former acquaintance began telephoning me curiously, constantly asking me to go here and there. It began to get more and more edgy, until he began hammering me to do some drug deals, and even commit the murder of another dealer. Thank God I can tell you that never happened. But five years later – after departing the area for that period – he began telephoning me again, and I visited his expensive home near Palm Springs. Oh BTW, this guy never had a job, but that sure was a nice house. We went into his living room, where he pulled a computer printout from his desk, for me to very briefly see. At the top it read, “Not to be released out side the United States Justice Department”. When he was in the Army about the same time as myself, he got into a huge amount of trouble stealing large amounts of morphine from military supplies. He was a medic. He would wholesale the stuff in Germany to the Tuirkish black market, until he got busted big time. Rather than accepting any responsibility for his own criminality, he took the FBI’s deal to stay out of prison by trying to snake others into crime. I can only try to guess how many times this sort of (true) tale has been duplicated across this benighted country. This is not only a shame and scandal, it is absolutely criminal, and I have no doubt that people have been murdered in the process. As you can imagine, there’s more to tell here. Do keep this in mind the next time an FBI spokesperson opens that hole in his face and begins crapping on your virtuous credibilities, not to mention the Constitution so many fought and died for.

  3. The DEA should declare a war on Big Pharma – they are the real drug pushers.

  4. All the DEA has to do is Pass Around A Few Joints then Marijuana will be reclassified.

I personally know of land owners who have had homes, out buildings and their own properties vandalized by Pot Growers. There are victims in this continual war on weed and always will be no matter legal or not.

  6. Top Hybrid Marijuana Strains

Hybrid marijuana strains are much more common these days than pure indicas or sativas. As more cannabis breeders cross different strains in an effort to combine and better favorable genetics, many wonderful hybrids have been introduced to the world. These strains combine their parents’ genetics and often have a wonderful balance of both indica and sativa characteristics. Mobile number 13049865122

  7. The DEA needs to go the way of all the other federal govt alphabet soup agencies that have screwed with We the People for far too long. I don’t see one word in the Constitution that allows for the DHS, TSA, FBI, and especially the enforcement arm of the cabal. The C.I frikin’ A!
We need to finish what JFK started!!!
