What does that even mean? Altered with what? Cannabis is a plant. That grows from a seed in the earth. Not a product of chemical synthesis created in a laboratory. That’s the whole point of this. This isn’t a drug, it’s a plant that was here on this earth a lot longer than we have. Regulating cannabis is a ridiculous concept to begin with, but legalization is a decent compromise that we can all live with, considering the social and governmental system that we live in in the world.
Cannabis oil is directly derived from the plant, that’s true. However, in legalising medicinal cannabis do you think the pharmaceuticals industry is going to let individuals or small farmers grow, then extract and sell natural plant extracts?
The research available today is based almost exclusively on a specific plant isolate (one chemical, THC, isolated from cannabis – which effectively is a patentable drug from which huge profits can be made). THC is not herbal medicine; it’s a drug.

Those are both the same thing, but you refer to them as separate things, thus indicating an altogether extremely low level of knowledge on the subject. Also, the actual scientific studies are disagreeing with your unsourced claim. As I recall, one just came out a week ago, and it didn’t have the results you claim.
