If Voting Made Any Difference, They Wouldn’t Let Us Do It

By John Whitehead

Don’t be fooled into thinking that the only road to reform is through the ballot box. Whether you vote or don’t vote doesn’t really matter. What matters is what else you’re doing to push back against government incompetence, abuse, corruption, graft, fraud and cronyism. After all, argues John W. Whitehead, there is more to citizenship than the act of voting for someone who, once elected, will march in lockstep with the dictates of the powers-that-be.

Constitutional attorney and author John W. Whitehead is the founder and president of The Rutherford Institute, where this video first appeared. He is also the author of A Government of Wolves: The Emerging American Police State and Battlefield America: The War on the American People.

  1. The citizens of this nation, much like their corrupt leadership, are derelict in their duty to take ACTIVE steps against the ever growing decadence that is plagueing it.
Voting and waving little flags does nothing, and when good men do nothing, evil reigns. We have allowed ourselves to fall into the mindset that reading and commenting online is activism. This has become nothing more than a pacifier to keep people from truly ACTING, for that is what it will take. All the best laid plans are nothing more than dreams without action.
We will need to do three things to actually result in solutions within problem solving.
1 Identification. We do that pretty well but the other two steps we are completely failing at.
2 Assessment, including an appropriate plan of action to counter the problem.
3 ACTION. All plans are meaningless without the action to execute it. This is the most important step of all.

Sooner or later we will reach a point where our reaction to solve a problem will not be effective at all. In other words, too late.
That’s when nature steps in and makes the adjustment for us, and I guarantee, we are not going to like it. Just like everything else in their world, cause and effect. We have neglected to attend to the problem build up, and just like a balloon that as overinflated…

Whitehead has written some very good books and articles online.
He chops at the root while many are just batting at the branches.
The information he has is valuable and worth reading.
