General Michael Flynn, 56, America’s highest ranking military intelligence officer as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, has just dropped a bombshell.

Flynn served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and chair of the Military Intelligence Board from July 24, 2012, to August 2, 2014. Prior to this, he served as assistant director of national intelligence within the Obama Administration.

Since his days within the US government ended in 2014, Flynn has begun to speak out about the murderous and unjust Iraq war and how it has led to the rise of ISIS.

In an interview with Spiegel this week, Flynn made some eye-opening revelations when he confirmed what many of us, outside of the state, already knew — the United State’s foreign policy helped create and foster the growth of terrorism worldwide.

Matthias Gebauer and Holger Stark held no punches when they grilled the retired general during their interview.

In 2004, the US had captured the man who would become the Islamic State’s leader, the self-proclaimed Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. However, unlike many of the innocent young men still being held in US torture facilities, al-Baghdadi was set free.

When Spiegel asked Flynn why this was done, Flynn replied with the following statement.

We were too dumb. We didn’t understand who we had there at that moment. When 9/11 occurred, all the emotions took over, and our response was, “Where did those bastards come from? Let’s go kill them. Let’s go get them.” Instead of asking why they attacked us, we asked where they came from. Then we strategically marched in the wrong direction.

The United State’s reckless and murderous rampage throughout the Middle East has led to the rise of a resistance tired of watching their children being blown to a red mist by drone-fired missiles. Unfortunately, these victims of US foreign policy are easily recruited by the psychopaths in the Islamic State.

The reality is that since 9-11, the US and their NATO allies have fostered a breeding ground for extremist and fundamentalist groups. As Americans sat back on their couches and watched the “Shock and Awe” on CNN, the US was sowing the seeds for perpetual war.

They were planting a garden in which a million Bin Ladens would later bloom. General Flynn, now retired, is able to see this.

Below is a portion of the interview in which Flynn goes on to admit that the occupation and subsequent bloodbath in Iraq was a mistake.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: The US invaded Iraq even though Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11.

Flynn: First we went to Afghanistan, where al-Qaida was based. Then we went into Iraq. Instead of asking ourselves why the phenomenon of terror occurred, we were looking for locations. This is a major lesson we must learn in order not to make the same mistakes again.

SPIEGEL ONLINE: The Islamic State wouldn’t be where it is now without the fall of Baghdad. Do you regret …

Flynn: … yes, absolutely …

SPIEGEL ONLINE: … the Iraq war?

Flynn: It was a huge error. As brutal as Saddam Hussein was, it was a mistake to just eliminate him. The same is true for Moammar Gadhafi and for Libya, which is now a failed state. The historic lesson is that it was a strategic failure to go into Iraq. History will not be and should not be kind with that decision.

Unfortunately, ‘that decision’ which Flynn speaks of resulted in millions of lives lost and has now brought humanity to the brink of total annihilation with the threat of World War III looming on the horizon.

In spite of Flynn’s admission, he is still unable to see the forest for the trees. When Spiegel asked him how the US should proceed, he said, “The sad fact is that we have to put troops on the ground. We won’t succeed against this enemy with air strikes alone.”

It is a sorry state of affairs that there are still people in this world who think that waging war is a method of stopping war – and most of these people are steering global policy.

ISIS wants war.

Their very existence and stated mission depend on driving a wedge through the ‘grayzone’ or the middle ground and polarizing the world into Muslim vs. Everyone else.

Unfortunately and predictably, the heads of state in the West have tasted the blood in the water and are now putty in the hands of ISIS.

When your only tool is a hammer, everything begins to look like a nail. The US has long been a hammer.

“The State represents violence in a concentrated and organized form. The individual has a soul, but as the State is a soulless machine, it can never be weaned from violence to which it owes its very existence.” -Mahatma Gandhi

  1. Flynn said “we were too dumb”??

Ordo ab Chao. The motto of the 33rd degree of Freemasonry (and Illuminati).

Elitist globalist Wesley Clark, once a favorite of neolibs, “let it slip” that a low ranking subordinate (really?) informed him the neocon plan was to take out seven countries in the war on terror. Not long ago Clark said in a televised interview disloyal Americans who don’t support the war on terror (not terrorists, but non violent thought criminals) should be placed in internment camps. The military brass does head games for TPTB.

  2. Telling it like it was/is – a made up war….keeping the horde thinned – so long as it doesn’t involve any of “them”
rothchilds/rockefellers, bushes, barry – they send their mercenaries known as the U.S. military to do their killing for them.
All part of the nwo unfederal b.s bank of the U.S. and zentral banks everywhere.

  3. Little hard to believe the “highest ranking US INTELLIGENCE officer” thinks it is just a dumb misdirected war.
Nothing else going on here, its just a dumb war.
Oil, land, the IMF, the UN, geo politics, Agenda 21, legalized NSA propaganda, US funding ISIS, the NWO? Nope. It is just this dumb war.
Is this the extent of US intelligence?

    • Agenda 21 has nothing to do with this. It is a voluntary set of proposals to create sustainable energy, protect the environment, and liberate women.

You are guilty of poisoning the well, tossing in a voluntary proposal with “funding ISIS.”

You also include the UN, which did not support the invasion of Iraq, with the head of the UN calling it “illegal.” The UN is a battle ground controlled for the worse, often controlled for the best. Tossing all these forces together results in surrendering critical thinking.

      • The UN is behind Agenda 21. Agenda 21 seeks to globally move all people into large cities and control all global resource’s. Of course the population will need to be reduced considerably too.
All of this and much more cannot happen with the current nation states and division of peoples all over the world. Agenda 21 is way more than just sustainable energy and liberating women. There is a ‘plan’ for this century and the “dumb” Arab spring wars and ISIS are just a part of that. The big picture is much more complicated.

Do a image search on “Agenda 21 map” and see how most of America is planned to be off limits. But not just America, they have mapped the whole planet. Agenda 21 is much bigger than most people know. It is the NWOs’ agenda for the 21st century and we are only 15 years into it.

My sources are the UN web site and “Behind the Green Mask” by Rosa Koire

        • Accepting the goals of Agenda 21 is voluntary. The goal is NOT to move “all people”into large cities as this would cause massive starvation, utter catastrophe.

People are already moving into large cities due to things like trade treaties (like NAFTA) which destroy local agriculture (as In Mexico)and global warming, where droughts (as in Syria) displace farmers who no longer can produce harvests and so move into cities seeking work. To blame corporate trade treaties and global warming on the UN is absurd.

Agenda 21 seeks to protect the environment, reduce global warming (which would help protect rural farmers), and make cities livable.

The slums of cities like New Delhi, Cairo, and Detroit are the result not of Agenda 21 but corporate greed,(offshoring jobs) destruction of local farming communities (Monsanto),and droughts caused by global warming(Syria). These people do not have adequate food, water, or resources and their intense poverty results in disease, early death, and high crime rates. Attempts to create sustainable cities are intended to improve such conditions.

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development. Its goals include:

combating poverty, especially in developing countries, changing consumption patterns, promoting health, achieving a more sustainable population, and sustainable settlement in decision making.
Section II: Conservation and Management of Resources for Development Includes atmospheric protection, combating deforestation, protecting fragile environments, conservation of biological diversity (biodiversity), control of pollution and the management of biotechnology, andradioactive wastes.
Section III: Strengthening the Role of Major Groups includes the roles of children and youth, women, NGOs, local authorities, business and industry, and workers; and strengthening the role of indigenous peoples, their communities, and farmers.

A sustainable population is created when people have a stable income. Advanced nations all have fertility rates at or below replacement levels. The poorest nations, where millions of children starve each year, have the highest birth rates. For instance, the nations with the top birth rates are all in central Africa, with rates from 5.6 to 6.9. By comparison, the rates in the 34 wealthiest nations at or just below 2.

The means of creating sustainable populations are: birth control, liberation of women, and combating poverty. The poorest nations on earth, as in central Africa, are those same nations with the highest birth rates. With family size of 7-10, the per capita income in these nations is under $3 a day. That is not sustainable.

Right wing propagandists, fronting for corporate predators, who have caused people to flood into squalid slums, destroyed the environment, and taken over the resources, seeks to demonize Agenda 21, a non-binding,voluntary set of proposals to protect women, children farmers, and combat poverty and protect the environment , in order to mask their evil agenda of corporate global fascism. Don’t be fooled.

  4. This war is the greatest product of the Satanic mind the world has seen and it is the product of four angels released from the Euphrates to kill a third of mankind. They should read their Bibles and they would know not only the location but the wars coming and the result of those wars. These people are demon controlled and they tell lies.

  5. Misleading the public again . Yes he was captured in 2004 and yes he was released in 2004′ what happen in between and after remains murkey.

    • Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was likely not so deeply radicalized at the time of imprisonment, and he may have been a model inmate. The detention center was known for allowing the inmates to study their faith together. Radicalization was certainly manifest following the assassination of Osama Bin Laden.
