What Is The Real Agenda Of The American Police State?

Anthony Freda Art

In my last column I emphasized that it was important for American citizens to demand to know what the real agendas are behind the wars of choice by the Bush and Obama regimes. These are major long term wars each lasting two to three times as long as World War II. Forbes reports that one million US soldiers have been injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. RT reports that the cost of keeping each US soldier in Afghanistan has risen from $1.3 million per soldier to $2.1 million per soldier.  Matthew J. Nasuti reports in the Kabul Press that it cost US taxpayers $50 million to kill one Taliban soldier. That means it cost $1 billion to kill 20 Taliban fighters. This is a war that can be won only at the cost of the total bankruptcy of the United States.

Joseph Stiglitz and Linda Bilmes have estimated that the current out-of-pocket and already incurred future costs of the Afghan and Iraq wars is at least $6 trillion.

In other words, it is the cost of these two wars that explain the explosion of the US public debt and the economic and political problems associated with this large debt.

What has America gained in return for $6 trillion and one million injured soldiers, many very severely?

In Iraq there is now an Islamist Shia regime allied with Iran in place of a secular Sunni regime that was an enemy of Iran, one as dictatorial as the other, presiding over war ruins, ongoing violence as high as during the attempted US occupation, and extraordinary birth defects from the toxic substances associated with the US invasion and occupation.

In Afghanistan there is an undefeated and apparently undefeatable Taliban and a revived drug trade that is flooding the Western world with drugs.

The icing on these Bush and Obama “successes” are demands from around the world that Americans and former British PM Tony Blair be held accountable for their war crimes. Certainly, Washington’s reputation has plummeted as a result of these two wars. No governments anywhere are any longer sufficiently gullible as to believe anything that Washington says.

These are huge costs for wars for which we have no explanation.

The Bush/Obama regimes have come up with various cover stories: a “war on terror,”
“we have to kill them over there before they come over here,” “weapons of mass destruction,” revenge for 9/11, Osama bin Laden (who died of his illnesses in December 2001 as was widely reported at the time).

None of these explanations are viable. Neither the Taliban nor Saddam Hussein were engaged in terrorism in the US. As the weapons inspectors informed the Bush regime, there were no WMD in Iraq. Invading Muslim countries and slaughtering civilians is more likely to create terrorists than to suppress them. According to the official story, the 9/11 hijackers and Osama bin Laden were Saudi Arabians, not Afghans or Iraqis. Yet it wasn’t Saudi Arabia that was invaded.

Democracy and accountable government simply does not exist when the executive branch can take a country to wars in behalf of secret agendas operating behind cover stories that are transparent lies.

It is just as important to ask these same questions about the agenda of the US police state. Why have Bush and Obama removed the protection of law as a shield of the people and turned law into a weapon in the hands of the executive branch? How are Americans made safer by the overthrow of their civil liberties? Indefinite detention and execution without due process of law are the hallmarks of the tyrannical state. They are terrorism, not a protection against terrorism. Why is every communication of every American and apparently the communications of most other people in the world, including Washington’s most trusted European allies, subject to being intercepted and stored in a gigantic police state database? How does this protect Americans from terrorists?

Why is it necessary for Washington to attack the freedom of the press and speech, to run roughshod over the legislation that protects whistleblowers such as Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden, to criminalize dissent and protests, and to threaten journalists such as Julian Assange, Glenn Greenwald, and Fox News reporter James Rosen? (Source)

How does keeping citizens ignorant of their government’s crimes make citizens safe from terrorists?

These persecutions of truth-tellers have nothing whatsoever to do with “national security” and “keeping Americans safe from terrorists.” The only purpose of these persecutions is to protect the executive branch from having its crimes revealed. Some of Washington’s crimes are so horrendous that the International Criminal Court would issue a death sentence if those guilty could be brought to trial. A government that will destroy the constitutional protections of free speech and a free press in order to prevent its criminal actions from being disclosed is a tyrannical government.

One hesitates to ask these questions and to make even the most obvious remarks out of fear not only of being put on a watch list and framed on some charge or the other, but also out of fear that such questions might provoke a false flag attack that could be used to justify the police state that has been put in place.

Perhaps that was what the Boston Marathon Bombing was. Evidence of the two brothers’ guilt has taken backseat to the government’s claims. There is nothing new about government frame-ups of patsies. What is new and unprecedented is the lockdown of Boston and its suburbs, the appearance of 10,000 heavily armed troops and tanks to patrol the streets and search without warrants the homes of citizens, all in the name of protecting the public from one wounded 19-year-old kid.

Not only has nothing like this ever before happened in the US, but also it could not have been organized on the spur of the moment. It had to have been already in place waiting for the event. This was a trial run for what is to come.

Unaware Americans, especially gullible “law and order conservatives,” have no idea about the militarization of even their local police. I have watched local police forces train at gun clubs. The police are taught to shoot first not once but many times, to protect their lives first at all costs, and not to risk their lives by asking questions. This is why the 13-year old kid with the toy rifle was shot to pieces. Questioning would have revealed that it was a toy gun, but questioning the “suspect” might have endangered the precious police who are trained to take no risks whatsoever.

The police operate according to Obama’s presidential kill power: murder first then create a case against the victim.

In other words, dear American citizen, you life is worth nothing, but the police whom you pay, are not only unaccountable but also their lives are invaluable. If you get killed in their line of duty, it is no big deal. But don’t you injure a police goon thug in an act of self-defense. I mean, who do you think you are, some kind of mythical free American with rights?

The simple answer to your questions about the rational for our wars of recent years is that the US government has been taken over.
It is not widely known, but the contributions by American Jewish Zionists, and dual citizenship holders (US and Israeli) to all our elections has been increasing each election cycle.
50% of Obamas election contributions came from AIPAC and "friends" of AIPAC.
Similar large percentages are contributed to all major congressional races.
You will not hear it in the mainstream press, because they are all controlled by the same exact forces.

Thanx Dr.Roberts for all your patriotic work. I am grateful.

Nothing will change until we see 5 million angry Americans storming DC. Till then the darkness will keep charging fwd. I think Americans are rational, but the tipping point is near. Once the darkness steps over the line, thats when the floodgates open. Thats when, like in Egypt, the military will back the people and help stop this madness. Till then, the darkness is gonna steal as much as it can.

PCR you're on fire this time. Points about Boston and police training (I live in Santa Rosa, by the way) extra intense.

Agree wholeheartedly with the two posters. Brilliant article by Dr. PCR. Indeed, the only way this Nazi/Satan-loving cult known as Washington will cease and desist, is when patriotic/stripped-of-all-their-rights Americans take back what is theirs. If that means storming Washington, then so be it. For it is a truism that violence begets violence. IMO, the military will stand with the American people, meaning power-lusting but weak-of-heart and weak-of-knee politicians, devoid of their overlord's protection, shall be ousted and shall pay the consequences of their heinous crimes and out-and-out corruption.

Very good article, where you have analysed well, the nature of militarised US police.
State evolved around property after civilisation and as property became mammoth, like today in worth trillion $ worth, state's task to safeguard it and its owner has become very complicated and expensive!
So few lives here and there is not important, but maintenance of state machinery and its masters is more important. Lastly its side task to smell any revolt by mass injside US or outside and crush it in its infancy and if fails to do so, then at its rise, PRISM an example!

Excellent work as usual from PCR.

Anon 7:07, I sadly disagree that the military will join the people. They won't. The military always move units away from where they were raised to alleviate 'heart-string' tugging, so to speak. Also, infusion of foreign troops that have no allegiance to USA.

My thinking has evolved from where I thought an outright rebellion might take place. I don' think that will happen. What is going on here is so very closely mirrored by the rise of communism (no revolt of substance there) that I think it will be the same here.....allow erosion of rights, then totalitarian rule when the clamps are too tight and the machinery of state is to strong (which it is quickly quickly becoming). As stated in documents by the evil ones, the goal is to take over without a shot fired and the people begging for the controls to be put in place. Create a fear based, violent environment and defenseless folks will ask for 'protection'. this is exactly the same as the mobsters of NYC (Walk into a restaurant...tell the owner there are 'goons' that will destroy the place unless of course, you pay us 'protection' money to keep them at bay.....what a sick (and effective) method of control.)

Thank you PCR for yet another wonderful piece of writing.

"What Is The Real Agenda Of The American Police State?"

Agenda? Shouldn't it be agendas, Paul Craig Roberts?
In summary:
1). The US Dollar is going to be replaced, and it'll probably be replaced with SDR or SDR derived alternative like perhaps the Amero.
2). The wars serve multiple purposes:
A). Depopulation of the region.
B). It rather guaranteed Israel, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran are rather brand spanking new parking lots, and poor House of Saud who by and large leads Saudi Arabia didn't get to become the New Persian Empire. Oh, poor things. Those nasty Russo-Sino and especially Russia threw a monkey wrench into that Saudi Arabian ambition to seize total control of the Middle East, and House of Saud's buddies have to wait a bit longer to force the world onto their desired world's currency (not reserve currency). Oh poor things...
Yeah, the Zionists love Israel so much that they are willing to get blown off the map conventionally or otherwise, so Saudi Arabia can take the Middle East over largely without losing a single soldier at least until Russia's Putin basically said Saudi Arabia needs some nice new parking lots. Oops...
C). It certainly helps destroy the Dollar.
D). It places dissidents of a Western elite controlled Supranational government and governance (world government is required to install global governance; I find it deeply ironic people can't see the claims for that dismissal as deliberately deceptive. That's like saying Barbie isn't blonde or the Cubs are the best team in baseball...

"No governments anywhere are any longer sufficiently gullible as to believe anything that Washington says."

So, does that mean they don't believe that supranationalism should replace nationalism, and supranational governance is the ideal alternatives to preventing a Ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt, China, Mongolia, and down the line to the British Empire, Nazi Germany, USSR, Communist China, and etc ruled by the same Western interests who advocate for their rule and supranationalism? Sure, if we overlook, they already effectively control the US, Canada, Mexico, European Union, Saudi Arabia through the House of Saud by and large, and so on. Oops.

This is the path our country is taking. " Every step we take towards making the state our caretaker, by that much we move toward making the State our master." Dwight David Eisenhower. he also warned the dangers of the industrial military complex. " When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." George Washington. The we have James Madison who said, " I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedoms of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpation." the communist realized that there could never be a violent overthrow of the United states so they went to work on the inside and have been quite successful. " We cannot expect the American people to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of socialism until one day they waken to find they have Communism." Nikita Khrushchev. The Chicago communist party recognized that they had found their man with the young senator in Illinois. not only did Obama have the background but Saul Alinsky was his mentor. Obama still uses Alinskys " Rules for Radicals" as his guide and playbook. These methods are also used by democrats to attack republicans who criticize Obama's policies.

Hate to break this to you, but it's not the "law and order" conservatives who are the gullible ones. Conservatives have been screaming for years about the coming police state, loss of liberties, etc. Apparently no one is listening.

At the least many of the populace are coming to appreciate the thought that there is no difference between political partys, It took awhole and we have a fair bit to go in order to convince a majority that Partys are not needed in a civilized society.
Political partyd are like whole hog sausage,, they mash up all together from hoofs to heads into a fleshy mush that is more akin to red slime than muscles and brains, and they include the fat assed and fat headed with blackheads and pimples included.
They have long been stored together and their slime long fermented into that which has no buidness being presented into the public arena but instead sent to a sewage treatment plant.

Massive wealth redistribution and transfers, disruption of any cultural commonality, distrust of our government, fascism as a "norm", these are just some of the reasons for these 12 years of bloodshed and violence. The increase in the drug trade and the extraordinary profits to be made therefrom were part of the plan from the beginning. I was scorned in 2001 and 2002, and the same smug snobs are only now considering that it was all planned, that their lives are in jeopardy of not containing weekend getaways, expensive dinners out, expensive vcations, promotions at work, etc. For the first time in 12 years, some of these folk are actually wondering if they should speak out. Is it tooooo late?

The military will go door to door asking a basic question " are you with US or against US"? The answer will be of course yes followed by a direct hand over of thousands of weapons or death!! Military with us like in Eygpt riiiightttttt?

Sorry, but it isn't the Law and Order types that are lethargic and apathetic in this nation. It is the college set, the misguided and misdirected youth, and the liberal-progressive Kool-aid drinkers that believe in their collectivist Utopia for all. They are also the ones that won't be picking up arms to fight for their freedoms, they'll be the first to occupy FEMA jail cells, re-education camp barracks or ratting our their fellow citizen to gain favor with the master puppeteers.

It will be the law and order types with the skill and know how and the guts to stand up for the Constitution, liberty and freedom that will be putting their lives on the line when SHTF.
