Yes – You ARE What You Eat

First of all, let me say here that we are not offering medical advice. The information here is simply our opinion, based on our own research and experience.

If you are wondering how it has been so easy for TPTB to have turned the overwhelming majority of American population into sheep who believe everything they are told and comply with outrageous demands and actions, it is partly because they have for decades been replacing our good, healthy, natural foods with foods laced with poisons.

Why would anyone take pleasure in adulterating the food supply? Try this theory – if TPTB can make the masses believe that the cheap crap they get fed (butter substitutes from hydrogenated oils, sugar substitutes, flavor substitutes, etc.) is actually good food, then the less the peons need to have money and the more money is available for TPTB to harvest.

The assault has been revved up in the recent past with MSGs (monosodium glutamates – of whatever name they call it, and there's a list a mile long), HFCS (high fructose corn syrup), Artificial Sweeteners, GMO (genetically modified organisms), Canola Oil, Hydrogenated Oils and emasculating Soy products among the worst, as well as fluoride in the water.

Do some research yourself on these, but here are the highlights of what we have learned:

MSG – is an excitotoxin, which speeds up the body's absorption of other toxins, like mercury. It is addictive, so that your body craves more of the foods containing it, whether those foods are nutritious or not.

HFCS – besides the corn from which it is made being GMO, these super sugars wreak havoc with the pancreas, speeding the road to obesity and Type II Diabetes.

Artificial Sweeteners – Aspartame, Sucralose, etc. all fool your pancreas into acting as if you really ate sugar. It sends out extra insulin to gobble up the sugar that is actually in your blood, causing you to be more hungry when your sugar levels dip. So instead of helping you lose weight, it can cause you to eat more.

GMO – yes, these do affect your genes as well! See the video, Genetic Roulette.
Canola Oil – was first developed as a cheap machine oil. It has been shown to scar arteries and is made from a GMO “rapeseed” plant, which was originally used to keep deer away from other crops. Canola is short for Canadian Oil Co.

Hydrogenated Oils – this is a process in which natural oils are mixed with water to the point that the fat cells are broken down so that they actually emulsify with the water molecules. The detrimental effect is that now those fat cells can be absorbed through the intestines and get more fat and cholesterol into the bloodstream. This is also true of Homogenized milk. Milk is splatted against a steel wall so that the fat breaks down to be evenly distributed throughout the milk (hence, no more cream at the top of the milk carton). Again, this makes it easier for the fat to get into the bloodstream.

Soy Products – virtually all soy is GMO and soy raises estrogen levels – in men as well as women.

Fluoride – fluoride is a toxic waste product of the aluminum manufacturing process. “Hey, why not feed it to the people! Let's put it in their water! After all, it's only a heavy metal and would go straight to their brains!”

Caring about what you eat is now classified as a mental illness – “orthorexia”. We knew someone who was a cook for one of the “elite.” He told us that his boss would eat NOTHING that wasn't grown on his own farm (meats included), and that this was the case with all of the other “elites” he was in contact with. But if one of the “peons” cares about what they eat, they are labeled a kook and told to take Prozac.

All we know is that since our family is more careful to eat as little of these detrimental foods as possible – we spend hours reading labels before we buy anything – we feel better, are healthier and have more vitality than before and our minds are sharper.

Speaking of reading labels, don't let a big splashy “Organic” on the front of a package fool you. It is now legal to call a food “organic” if only ONE ingredient in that food is actually organic! Foods that are labeled “organic” can contain any of the above foods to avoid as well, again, as long as ONE ingredient is truly organic. Bring your glasses to the grocery store and READ THE LABELS!

Unfortunately, it is IL-legal to mark non-GMO foods as such. According to the government, it would be unfair to the producers of GMO foods to let the consumer know what they are about to eat. Heaven forbid they give the consumer a fair choice!

Regarding eggs, having your own chickens is the ultimate, or at least buying farm fresh eggs in smaller, local markets. Commercial eggs can be 3 months old before they get to the grocers' shelves, and can contain high levels of salmonella, listeria and e-coli.

A word about the new onslaught into the marketplace of “freeze-dried storage foods” for survivalists... Please read the ingredients of those foods and compare them to the lists above. Some may say “No added MSG”, but that doesn't mean they don't contain MSG. Also, with the amount of soy products they contain and at least 85% of soy being GMO, it's hard to believe it when they tout their products as “NO GMO”. “Single-sylable” storage foods – wheat, rice, beans, etc. – are still the best way to go.

Our diet consists mainly of whole, organic grains (wheat that we grind into our own flour and brown rice), proteins from lentils and beans, farm fresh eggs from our own chickens, sea salt, raw sugar and vegetables from our own garden. We do eat meat occasionally.

For most of you, eating nutritious food that you prepare yourself will be a new experience. Because you will actually be eating food that contains nutrients your bodies need and not just empty calories, you will find that you have to eat less to be satisfied and will lose some weight in the process.

Many of the places where people live the longest, such as HOng Kong, Singapore, and Japan eat a lot of soy.

Soy products, including fermented tempeh, have been used for thousands of years.

I would not touch GMO soy, but stores like Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck) sell 12oz of tofu for $1.29 (organic).

The evidence is that soy is a very nutritious, beneficial food.

It has as much protein as meat so you can quit eating slaughtered animals, which pose their own risks. I am 71, in robust health, work full time in physically demanding jobs, and have been a vegetarian for 45 yrs, a vegan for 10 yearsm and have eaten soy products all that time.

I don't feel emasculated.

Yes, they eat a lot of soy in some cultures. Most of those cultures also eat meat.

Soy works for you, as does being a vegan/tarian. Statistically, most vegan/tarians go back to meat because their health deteriorates dramatically -- they don't know how to give their bodies what it needs to replace meat (particularly B vitamins). It sounds like you do and are willing to do the work to make sure you get what you need.

Dr. Weston Price traveled the world for 10 years to investigate long-lived cultures to try to understand why Americans' health was deteriorating, as evidenced by their teeth. Here are some articles written by experts of late re. soy. If you know anyone who is not doing as well as you are on a vegan/tarian diet, you might want to share this with them.

Soy can be a poison these days -- many people have developed allergies to it simply because it and corn (particularly the GMO variety) are in EVERYTHING. Too much of a good thing can hurt you!

Sorry to tell you but the people who live in those countries where soy products are popular don't live longer then people in the U.S. and Canada. Ditto for vegetarians it is a myth, a popular myth among vegetarians but a myth never the less.
Everything you eat is broken down into it's smallest compound. That is if you eat a Mcdonalds burger or a burger made whole foods hamburger it is broken down by your digestive system into it's individual protein, fat and carbohydrate compounds so that your small intestine can absorb it. Once in your blood stream any indication that the protein, fat or carbohydrate came from McDonalds or whole food is gone and the distinction is meaningless

Dr Price is a fraud and a quack.

Yeah Whole Foods, the greasy store caught lying about organic food numerous times with the proof put up on youtube.....and promptly censored by youtube at Whole Foods request. Sure.

As for soy, most is GMO due to contamination. A complex issue, well beyond the simplistic soy is good argument.

Any helpings of toxins, growth hormones, antibiotics, or metals in there? Another popular myth is that McDonalds food does not make a person stupid....thanks for helping to debunk that one pal. What toxins? Is that just something you heard once or do you actually have a clue? It is indeed true that food, all food, contains things that are not good for you like arsnic in most grains and actually in almost all foods since it is so ubiquitous in the environment. Or mercury in fish (did you know they have found fish caught and preserved thousands of years ago with mercury higher then what we consider safe today?). It is impossible to avoid these things. Did you know an apple has over 10,000 chemicals some of them toxic to humans? You won't see that list of chemicals anywhere so you will continue to believe that "natural" food good, man grown food bad!! I can only encourage you to take some classes at a community college and stop getting all your misinformation on the internet.

I have gained over seventy pounds in the last fourteen months since being in recovery. I went off of pain medications for my spinal issues. I stopped drinking alcohol and consuming any mind or mood altering chemicals. But at what cost? I am so heavy now I am miserable. So I read about all the crap I am putting into my body and between chemicals in the fruits and veggies and GMOs and HFCS and Mercury in fish and hormones in meat. And flouride in the water. What the hell is safe to eat anymore? Can anyone really answer this question. ? We litterally can NOT CONSUME anything that THEY have not already tainted. What the hell? They do want us dead. Georgia Guide Stones........? Monsato? The Seed Vault? Ghost Cities? GMOs,? Pesicides? ReallY? Common. I might as well just shoot myself with a gun to the head and get it over with NOW. Instead of dying a long slow painful death just from EATING TO SURVIVE.
Seriously if I was doing well, I am no longer convinced that there is ANY way to live healthy.

Ignore the ramblings of the scare mongers. HFCS is simply table sugar in a liquid form to make it easy for food companies to incorporate into their products. GMOs are common, almost all corn for the last 25 years has been GMO, rice and other grains and zero problems from them and this is true in spite of the crap and outright lies you read about GMO. Food scares are common and sometimes famous people get caught up in it and made a fool of (remember Alar and Meryl or Texas beef and Oprah Winfrey?). Mercury has been found in fish since before recored history. It is unlikely you can eat enough fish for it to be a problem.
Here is the one thing that disproves the scare mongers: Our life expectancy grows ever year and our health has improved every year for well over 50 years. There is no evidence that any of these scare stories is real.

It's not true that life expectancy in the US is increasing any more for everyone. Studies at at the Harvard School of Public Health and Washington University found that from the 1980s, that while overall life expectancy continued going up, in poorer areas of the US it started going down again, or stagnating.

High fructose corn syrup was introduced in the 70s, and a study at the University of California, Davis, by researchers Peter Havel and KL Stanhope in 2007, found that the group consuming HCFS put on weight, but the sugar group actually lost eight. People on the HFCS containing diet had an increased risk for high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes within a very few weeks, whereas those consuming the same amounts of glucose had no change in their risk.

It's much more difficult for poorer people to afford a healthy diet in the US, and HCFS provides cheap calories. This could quite possibly be one of the reasons for more people dying younger in some areas.

Life expectancy overall has gone up. However drugs, risjy actions and gang violence has negatively impacted life expectancy for minorities and some poor groups. These factors are clearly not related to food choices unless you believe HFCS makes you want to sell and take drugs.

Your HFCS pseudo-study is pure BS. Think about it! We ALL consume HFCS and clearly we all don't have high blood pressure, diabetes or are overweight. More importanlty HFCS is NOT high glucose it is merely table sugar in a liquid form. Diabetes is genetic, you get it from your parents not your food. Obesity is genetic as well. Your tendency to over eat or store food as fat is a genetic predisposition and it doesn't matter if you eat HFCS or not.

HCFS is different from table sugar in that it is metabolised much more quickly A study by Dr Parks and colleagues at Texas University in 2008,and published in the Journal of Nutrition, showed that the body converts fructose to body fat remarkably quickly, and showed how glucose and fructose, which are forms of sugar, are metabolized differently - fructose goes straight to the liver.

That is pure BullSHit. First of all you are mixing HFCS with fructose. HFCS is sugar is sucrose which is about half fructose and half glucose. It is NOT fructose!!!

The "Metabolized differently" claim is a distinction without a difference. So what! In fact your body runs on glucose so when sugar (table sugar or HFCS) gets to your small intestine it has been seperated from a sucrose molecule into two molecules; one glucose and one fructose. Your small intestine allows these two molecules to enter your blood stream where the glucose is available immediately to power your muscles, your brain and other body functions. Your live converts fructose to glucose. This is in fact one of the prime functions of your liver and hardly something strange or abnormal.

The mystery, voodoo and hocus pocus about HFCS all stems from a marketing campaign in the 50's when fructose was considered the "good" sugar because that is the sugar in fruits and we all know fruit is good for you. So the marketer decided to call this product HFCS but in fact it is manufactured to be the equivalent of table sugar, nothing more, nothing less.

Ironically this fear mongering about fructose denigrates fruit which arguably is good for you. If fructose is bad and fruit is good then you have a serious problem with your food biases.

So, anonymous above, you need to do your research and I would advise NOT to google it because the internet is full of misinformation and you are obviously not a deep enough thinker to understand that. I would suggest you take biology and chemistry classes at your local community college.
