You only know what a government told you. You trust governments and I don't. A net searched yielded that addiction rates are down 10%. But how was that measured? Did the number of addicts decline because drug related mortality jumped by 10%. Dead addicts don't count. Of 10 of my friends addicted to heroin, 8 are dead. Given that the drug is readily available, the death rate may have jumped and bingo less addicts exist. Berkeley University study on Portugal's legalization concluded there was a 150% increase in drug related mortality and commented that the major supplies of illicit drugs influence the keeping of statistical data, here: http://econ.berkeley.edu/sites/default/files/yablon_daniel.pdf Young Turk, there are lies, stats and damned lies.
Nobody's pushing it, no money in it. Of course it's better now.
My friend im from Portugal and unfortunately the drugs here are not decriminalized... So.. or you mistake the country or you lying!
