There has been some controversy surrounding the true Mayan Calendar end date. I followed a model put forth by researcher and author, Carl Johan Calleman, Ph.D. His calculations predicted the end date, October 28, 2011, which is now past!

I have read and continue to read a lot of literature about the Mayan Calendar. I often get asked what I think is going to happen when it ends. Preceding the above mentioned date in October, I would often reply with a question, “What are you planning on doing the day after?” Since that auspicious date has passed, I usually comment that the Mayan Calendar has already ended according to some sources, and then ask, “Aren’t you glad it didn’t end like the movie?”

I planned only one celebration for that event, and have moved on to other interests. Hopefully in this process, my consciousness has been raised adequately. Noteworthy that many people are focused on a different date, perhaps my experience will help them survive the transition.

This submission has been entered into a contest to win 2 premium tickets + $500 for travel to see David Icke at Wembley Arena, London — October 27, 2012.  If you like this article, please share it far and wide, as the winner will be determined by the total number of pageviews acquired before the end of the contest on June 15th.  For additional details about submissions, please visit our Contest Page.
