"Free Speech Zones" Killing Free Speech Across Orwellian America

"Congress shall make no law... abridging... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."  -- First Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America.

John Galt
Activist Post

The "free speech zone," despite being anathema to the U.S. Constitution, has been used intermittently since the Vietnam War protests.   When their use was expanded to actually hide protesters during both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in 2004, free speech zones were quickly written off by the mainstream media as either no big deal, or essential to protect participants from dangerous activists.  Many in the alternative media warned that this was a dangerous precedent to set; after all, America itself is considered by the Constitution to be a free speech zone, with laws that were created to prosecute crimes when they are committed and not before.

These zones have now become a political tool used to alter the perception of media coverage, as supporters are allowed a front-row seat in full view of cameras, while protesters are housed in cages sometimes blocks away from the actual event.

Sure enough, free speech zones are cropping up across America in a variety of locations, as evidenced in the following video from Orlando, FL where judge Belvin Perry has designated a small section of sidewalk to those who might want to express their freedom at the Orange County Courthouse:

This is a clear demonstration of how rights have been turned into privileges.

John Kurtz, who appears in this video, has himself fallen prey to the erosion of the First Amendment in America.  Kurtz recorded a violent confrontation with police that involved the extreme use of force by an officer on a suspect who already was subdued and in handcuffs.  His camera was confiscated and he is now awaiting trial on charges that could put him in jail for 6 years.

As America declines into full blown tyranny, the State is using fiat law in an attempt to convince people that arbitrary rules and regulations are actually the law of the land.  This couldn't be further from the truth.  In fact, whenever these made-up laws are challenged as unconstitutional, would-be tyrants have had to back down more often than not.

As Lila Rajiva, author of The Language of Empire, states:
Statutory laws, the laws that get passed with great pomp and circumstance aren't the laws that really govern society though they might look like they do.
But if they really did, why is it that the crimes committed by Soviet commissars or by the Nazi Gestapo. . . or by the CIA . . . were all committed with the law books bulging at the seams?
It's not how many laws you have that matters, but how well those laws are obeyed.(Source)
More than ever, it is high time to start thinking outside the box.

All law, no matter how rational or insane, depends on human gullibility for existence. Support war, stand here, rat on your neighbors, kill Jews, etc.

I'm constantly amazed how most humans, even "nice" humans, view themselves as so inferior! They possess no will, no self image; they live an illusory life. These are the masses; these are the people who empower the tyrants; these represent about 80% of the population of Earth!

The problem is that of the remaining 20% that aren't despots, those that have an image of self worth, those who think, will be unheeded, scorned, and persecuted.

Kinda reminds one of the human treatment of domestic animals ... like cattle!

Serf's up!
Have a nice day.

Like sheeple!

I saw one of these "Free Speech Zones" when I was in the Smokey Mountains. I couldn't believe it. It was at a scenic pullout on the pass and I was so offended.

But I think the signs at one of the trailheads indicating that the area was under closed circuit TV should have been a tip off.

Dear Patriot:
Your name came up from Google? I admire anyone who promotes Freedom of Speech.
My story: I have been handing out “True or False”, FIJA (Fully Informed Jury Association, FIJA.org) flyer’s since 9/10. I was criminally found guilty by Chef Judge Belvin Perry (the arresting Judge, prosecutor, jury and the executioner, he did appoint a state Attorney for my prosecution), for External Criminal Contempt of Court in June of 2011. This has nothing to do with the Casey Anthony case, just the same Judge. He determined that I violated 2 of his Administrative orders 2011 03 & 07, which say, if anyone violates the Administrative order, they would be guilty of civil contempt of court, a misdemeanor. Both of his orders are in blatant violation of our 1st Amendment rights of free speech. Administrative Order # 2011 03 states that if anyone hands, talks or hold a sign they would be held in contempt of court and jury tampering. 2011 07 states that anything that has to do with “Free Speech” may only be done in the free speech zones which are two 10’x30’ remote areas about 250’ out in front of the Courthouse doors. Judge Perry found me guilty, on 6/26/11 of 2 felonies’, to serve, 141 days & 151 days in jail to be completed at one time, congruently. I have served 4 days so far and I am out on bail while I appeal. In the beginning, I introduced a motion for Perry to rescue himself and since this is a felony, I demanded a trial by jury by 12 of my peers, since I am being tried for a felony! Denied!!! Denied!!! I am now out on bond because of my filed appeal.
My lawyer was $2,500. for the trial. Other patriots have already covered this expense. I need $5,000. for the appeal just in the beginning. We will need another $5,000. to get this appeal to the Federal Supreme Court. My conviction is a direct assault on the 1st Amendment of our Constitution. This is the only courthouse in our country that now has a permanent free speech zone. I am setting up my legal defense fund. I (we) need money for Freedom!
Video of my arrest on local news
-- if you know anyone with any money to support our 1st amendment rights please send them my way.

Yours in Freedom
-Mark E. Schmidter
