U.S. Has No Interest in Stopping Israel’s Genocide in Gaza
Trump has surrounded himself by devoted Zionists, like Marco Rubio, who he once mocked as the “perfect Adelson puppet.”
Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, told officials last week that the administration will not force Israel to stop its genocide in Gaza, despite the worsening humanitarian conditions inside the enclave.
The Times of Israel, citing two Arab officials, said the Trump administration will not challenge Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to scale up the war that he said will be carried out with “all our strength to complete the process.”
Netanyahu told reporters that Hamas may call for a pause, and release 10 more hostages.
“OK, release them,” he said. “We will receive them and after that enter. But there will not be a situation where we stop the war.”
Israel has ramped up its genocide ever since the collapse of the ceasefire reached just before Trump’s inauguration. The Israelis have enforced a complete siege on the enclave and have not allowed a morsel of food into Gaza since 2 March.
