Hearings Begun on 21-Year-Old Lawsuit Filed by Plaintiffs Who Got Brain Cancer from Cell Phones

Decades of peer-reviewed published research has determined that exposure to sources of electromagnetic radiation – including cell phones – can cause symptoms, illnesses, and injuries.  In some parts of the world, government agencies warn residents about cell phone radiation exposure risks but not in the U.S.  In fact, last year, a federal court ruled in favor of organizations and petitioners that sued the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for NOT adequately protecting Americans from cell phones and other sources of wireless radiation exposure including 5G.  Despite the ruling, the FCC has continued to promote and fund the deployment of unsafe wireless radiation emitting devices and infrastructure on land and in space (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).  Additionally, The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is supposed to guarantee the safety of cell phones and other radiation-emitting products and infrastructure as well.  Unfortunately, that agency hasn’t been protecting Americans from exposure either (see 1, 2, 3).

In 2001, a group of plaintiffs filed a lawsuit alleging they developed brain cancer from their cell phones and the case is finally being heard.  Thanks to Arthur Firstenberg for sharing this good news in a recent Cell Phone Task Force newsletter:
