Samsung Space Craft Crashes into Family’s Yard

By B.N. Frank

Earlier this year, Scientific American warned there is too much space junk already and it’s creating a dangerous situation on Earth as well as in space. Regardless, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) keeps allowing more satellites and similar devices to be launched into the sky and space to blast harmful WiFi and 5G at us on Earth (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Samsung got in on the action for another different reason. From WWMT:

SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich (WEYI) – Nancy Welke said she heard something crash onto her property on the Saginaw and Gratiot County line around 8:45 this morning.

[…]

Welke says when she went outside she found a device that appeared to be from outer space.

Welke said the device was still making noise.

The device had the wording “Samsung Space Selfie” on it.

Earlier in the week, Samsung Electronics unveiled the world’s first selfie sent to space, captured by actor, model and philanthropist Cara Delevingne and shown for the first time during a celebrity-filled event at the newly-opened Samsung KX experience space.

Samsung says the selfie is the first of many that Samsung will lift into the stratosphere this month as part of SpaceSelfie, a mission to give everyone the chance to get their face in space.

On her Facebook page, Ms. Delevingne describes the Space Selfie as an opportunity to become a space pioneer. Fortunately, no one was hurt from the crash. Hopefully, Samsung will choose to thank their lucky stars and cancel future lifts. Having pictures of our faces sent into space isn’t anything we can’t live without, is it?
