Hooray for Hollywood Activists Demanding Federal Warnings About Exposure To Radiation From WiFi

Activist Post and others have reported before about well-known and influential business people, entertainers, and medical professionals voicing their concerns about exposure to WiFi radiation.

A few months ago, a group of Hollywood actors, producers, artists, and advocacy organizations sent a letter to the heads of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Education asking for a federal warning about exposure to radiation from WiFi similar to the City of Berkeley’s “Right To Know Ordinance” for cell phones.  The letter was written by Sabine El Gemayel, producer of the film GENERATION ZAPPED.

They also asked for federal fact sheets to be made to raise awareness on how to reduce exposure to WiFi, particularly for children in schools.

Signers include Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Dr. Naomi Wolf, and organizations Moms in Film, and Environmental Media Association.

The letter also addresses:

• Wireless technology was not tested for safety before going into the consumer marketplace – including in schools and nurseries
• There is no system in place to recall technology when dangers are apparent
• Other organizations have already issued warnings including the World Health Organization
• California Department of Public Health has already issued a public health fact sheet, “How to Reduce Exposure to Radiofrequency Energy from Cell Phones” which indicates that children may be more at risk for harm from exposure.

In 2017, more than 180 scientists and doctors from 35 countries asked for a moratorium on the roll-out of 5G for telecommunication until the potential for adverse biological and environmental effects have been fully investigated.
