Tensions Continue Rising Between Russia and The U.S. In Syria

By Aaron Kesel

Tensions between the U.S. and Russia are heating up in Syria. Russia is now accusing the U.S. of using phosphorus bombs, a claim the Pentagon has denied, while the U.S. is planning for potential conflict with Russia in Syria on the ground in Al-Tanf (a key U.S. outpost base).

Russia’s military accused two U.S. F-15 fighter jets of dropping white phosphorus bombs over Syria’s Deir al-Zor province on Saturday, the TASS and RIA news agencies reported.

In a statement to Reuters, a Pentagon spokesman denied that U.S. planes dropped phosphorus bombs.

“At this time, we have not received any reports of any use of white phosphorous,” said Commander Sean Robertson. “None of the military units in the area are even equipped with white phosphorous munitions of any kind.”

The U.S. airstrikes targeted the village of Hajin, the final major stronghold of Islamic State in Syria.

Meanwhile, the last rebel hotbed against Syria’s government in Idlib is being threatened by Russia through threatening a U.S. training camp in Al-Tanf.

This comes after Russian jets bombarded Idlib earlier this week, hours after Trump warned in a tweet that Assad “must not recklessly attack Idlib Province.”

This has prompted the U.S. to send more than 100 U.S. Marines to a remote coalition outpost in southern Syria at Al-Tanf after Russia threatened to attack militants in the area, the Pentagon said.

The base is used by U.S. special forces as a training ground for Syrian fighters who are confronting Islamic State militants, according to Stripes.

U.S. military officials sternly warned Russia and Syria not to go forward with an attack within a 35-mile-wide security zone that the U.S. maintains around Al-Tanf.

“The United States does not seek to fight the Russians, the government of Syria or any groups that may be providing support to Syria in the Syrian civil war,” said Lt. Col. Earl Brown, a spokesman for U.S. Central Command. “However, the United States will not hesitate to use necessary and proportionate force to defend U.S., coalition or partner forces.”

If Russia does attack, this might prompt the U.S. to respond using similar weapons, especially if a Russian attack causes casualties to the U.S. or its allies, officials said according to Stripes.

The U.S. is working with France and the U.K. on plans for a coordinated military strike in Syria if the regime does use chemical weapons, WSJ reported.

U.S. officials have accused Syria’s Bashar al-Assad of approving the use of chlorine gas in Idlib, the last rebel stronghold.

Recently, U.S. National Security Advisor and ZioCon, John Bolton, threatened Russia by stating that any use of chemical weapons, will “result in a much stronger response than previous airstrikes.”

This is the same John Bolton who stated that regime change in Iran was the only way — way before Trump even considered Bolton for National Security Advisor in November 2016.

“The ayatollahs are the principal threat to international peace and security in the Middle East,” Bolton told Breitbart News Daily, a radio program run by the hard-right website with close ties to Donald Trump. “Now, their ouster won’t bring sweetness and light to the region, that’s for sure, but it will eliminate the principal threat.”

[…]

“I think the people of Iran would long for a new regime,” Bolton continued, later suggesting that the U.S. should support opposition groups looking to overthrow it. “I don’t think the regime is popular, but I think it has the guns. And I think there are ways of supporting the opposition that does not involve the use of American military force, that does involve helping the opposition to get a different kind of government.”

It’s worth noting that the CIA very recently set up a new organization tasked with focusing on Iran.

Back in June the Wall Street Journal published a report saying that America’s Central Intelligence Agency had set up a new organization whose sole task would be to focus on Iran under the direction of “Ayatollah Mike” D’andrea who is also an Iran warhawk like Bolton.

One only needs to have eyes, to see what’s going on here, no educational degree in politics is needed. If you don’t see what’s happening, the only clear explanation is that you are physically blind. In which case, you wouldn’t be reading this article. It’s that obvious that the U.S. is setting up regime change operations in Iran; you need to be completely living under a rock for the past few months to ignore the geopolitical moves by all countries involved.

Although, conflict might break out in Syria if Russia attacks the U.S. and the U.S. responds, or vice versa.

There is no better time to remind the public of the statement of “5 years 7 countries” by former NATO Supreme Allied Commander General Wesley Clark.

Despite the Washington and deep state bureaucracy and aristocracy being behind schedule, the plan seems to continue progressing toward a war and an invasion either through proxy or otherwise in Syria and ultimately Iran.

Russia has positioned a naval armada in the Mediterranean near Syria after accusing the U.S. of plotting a false-flag chemical-weapons attack, Business Insider reported.

Things certainly seem to be ramping up towards a potential conflict between the two nations. Russia is reportedly hosting war games that will host 300,000 troops, 36,000 vehicles and 1,000 aircraft, as Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia’s Vladimir Putin meet in Vladivostok.

  1. Thank God the vast minority elected Trump so that we won’t be having that war with Russia or engaging in regime change in Syria. And thank God Trump has gotten rid of all those neocon war-mongers like Bolton, who told us lthat the Iraq people would treat US soldiers as liberators when we destroyed their nation.

But here is a theory that may allay our fears. Putin helped Trump defeat Clinton, who guaranteed a nuclear war with Russia under the mask of the New Start Treaty which reduced nukes on both sides (very clever ploy!), in exchange for two promises: 1) to repeal the crippling sanctions (unfortunately, Republicans voted 254-4 against Trump on this) and to rein in NATO, which Trump has done by demanding they speed up payments while affirming “I love NATO.”

But these efforts to help Putin have created a deep suspicion that Trump owes Putin something and that there is collusion, an understanding. So to cover it up, the two have agreed to stage a hostile confrontation in Syria to assume folks that there is NO COLLUSION!

Either that or Trump is heading us straigh into a war with Russia! I prefer my conspiracy theory…….

  2. The US has often threatened, attempted to blackmail and often provoked Russia for no other reason than it felt it could do so with impunity! However those kind of actions have become too irritating to Russia to allow it to continue without a sharp response. Unfortunately Americans are so ignorant and foolish that another American slight against Russia might end up being the straw that broke the camel’s back. If so kiss your a** goodbye!

  3. It’s a nice show, and goes to show that the NWO needs their 3rd world war. It’s also biblical prophecy that Damascus Syria will be a ruinous heap…

  4. Why doesn’t the uninvited illegal, occupying force leave this place ?
