Problem Reaction Solution: Internet Censorship Edition

By corbettreport

Don’t be an idiot! The government is NOT going to be the neutral arbiters of the internet and the big tech companies are NOT monopolies unless YOU forfeit your responsibility and use their controlled platforms.

The answers to the social media crackdown are already here and it is your choice whether the alternatives that already exist thrive or die. It’s up to you. Choose wisely.

  1. Now, the Government wants to regulate another “Right”…. Just like they want to regulate the 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms….the 1st Amendment is now proving to be just as dangerous, thus requiring Regulations….

  2. Best advice from Jim is that anyone can have their own network without a social media platform. It’s called a contact list on your phone.

  3. What many are missing here is, social media websites have no paying ‘customers’, they have members/subscribers. They offer access to their venue for free. They offer free access to advertisers so subscribers can receive monitization at no cost. It’s like renting a table at a flea market, or festival, or art walk or farmer’s market to sell your goods, except you pay social media no rent to use their ‘table’. They don’t have to allow anyone to use their site to make money for free. If you don’t like free money being withdrawn, then leave. No law says they have to let you use their venue, so what many want are new laws. What they’re asking for is the federal government to regulate the internet. What they don’t realize is, if they get what they want, everyone will lose ALL internet freedom. The feds will make us all pay just to log on. Then they will make us pay to access every site that USED to be free. The feds will create new internet federal agencies to make us buy new internet licenses.
What they want, will open Pandora’s Box.
