Misleading Article Title Claims Cell Phones Don’t Cause Brain Cancer — Study Clearly Shows More Tumors in Those Exposed to RF Radiation and EMF

By B.N. Frank

People believe what they want to believe.  This has never not been true.

There has recently been much BAD press reported by Newsweek and others in the Mainstream Media about exposure to cell phone radiation and other sources of Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs).  This is actually nothing new – bad press has actually been reported for many years already.

So this new article from Earth.com with its misleading title that basically says not to worry about brain cancer and cell phones reminds me of the “Yada Yada Yada” episode of Seinfeld.

It’s like they hoped people would read the title, check out the sexy women using their phones, and not read any further.

Anyone who reads the whole article will learn, however, that:

  1. Only about 1 in 10 of the individuals evaluated had been exposed high levels of EMF, and
  2. Only 1 in 100 been exposed to intermediate frequencies.

And so

This means that the risk could still be greatly underestimated.

Really??????????????????????????

“In addition, the study results showed that brain tumors occurred more often among individuals that had been exposed to EMF in the last decade.”

[B.N. Frank emphasis added]

So actually – according to this studyanyone exposed to cell phone radiation and other sources of EMFs in the last decade should be concerned about brain tumors.  Therefore, this title is a misleading as hell.  Of course, these folks aren’t alone in misleading us about harm from exposure.

But this seems particularly low.  Even The Telecom Industry (Big Wireless) has never said cell phones are safe.  Cell phone manufacturers are warning shareholders that they may eventually be held liable for the harm their products have caused.  No one wants to insure them anymore.

Basically, the law and industry-paid scientists protect technology.  Big Wireless uses the same tactics used by Big Tobacco for decades to also keep this nightmare in play.

What we do have are federal safety guidelines which are outdated, inaccurate, and inadequate.  These guidelines are included in “the fine print” of manuals which most people don’t read.

Regardless, this study’s first author, Javier Vila, is asking for more money for “further investigation.”

“Although we did not find a positive association, the fact that we observed indication of an increased risk in the group with most recent radiofrequency exposure deserves further investigation,” explained study first author Javier Vila.

This is similar to what happened with research done by National Institutes of Health and cell phone radiation exposure.  And recently Swiss research on teens and exposure also confirmed similar results.

Back to Javier:  He is also asking to be funded for separate research to study something else involving EMF exposure when that’s also already been done.

As for future research, more advanced tools must be developed to gain more accurate insight into the potential risks involved with EMF, as well as the roles of different chemical reactions to the radiation.

This has already been proven harmful, Javier.  No one needs to fund more research to prove this.
