According to Dr. Andrew Weil, December 12, 2005:
“The theory is that leaky gut syndrome (also called increased intestinal permeability), is the result of damage to the intestinal lining, making it less able to protect the internal environment as well as to filter needed nutrients and other biological substances.
“Leaky Brain Syndrome” is not the name of a medical condition. But it sounds like a good description of what research has already proven. Exposure to cell phone and other sources of Wireless (WiFi) radiation disrupts the Blood-Brain Barrier which can cause it to leak:
From September 12, 2012 article, “Neurosurgeon Shows How Low Levels of Radiation Such As Wi-Fi, Smart Meters And Cell Phones Cause The Blood Brain Barrier To Leak,” Dr. Leif Salford:
Some of the most concerning conclusions result from the fact that the weakest exposure levels to wireless radiation caused the greatest effect in causing the blood brain barrier to leak.
Researchers in 13 other laboratories in 6 different countries had reported the same effect, but no one had proven whether it would lead to any damage in the long term. In a study published June 2003 in Environmental Health Perspectives, Salford’s team repeated the experiment on 32 additional animals, but this time waited eight weeks before sacrificing them and examining their brains. In those animals that had been exposed to a cell phone, up to two percent of the neurons in all areas of the brain were shrunken and degenerated.
In May of 2011, the World Health Organization classified cell phone and wireless (WiFi) radiation as a possible carcinogen. Of course not everyone is going to get cancer from exposure to wireless (WiFi) radiation. Not everyone who uses tobacco products will get cancer either. Some may get other illnesses like asthma, COPD, emphysema.

Personal wireless (WiFi) radiation-emitting products and other electronic devices come with guidelines. Why do you think that is?
There is often no choice given to customers when utility companies want to install wireless and/or digital “Smart” Meters on homes and buildings. These utility “Smart” Meters also emit wireless (WiFi) radiation and many scientists believe that they also cause harm. Even the American Cancer Society made a statement about “smart” meters on their website though it isn’t easy to follow.
In the United States, there is currently a legislative push for more cell towers and other wireless infrastructure to be installed everywhere – including in front of homes. Many have expressed concern about this – including Dr. Oz who recently featured a segment about it on his show. Unfortunately he only interviewed one “expert” and it was difficult understanding where she actually stood on the subject.
Former Microsoft Canada president, Frank Clegg, is now with Citizens for Safe Technology. He stated:
Electrosensitivity is not like an allergy you are born with; it is an illness that builds up over increased time and radiation exposure.
Just as we cannot yet explain why some individuals will die from second-hand smoke and others can live a long life smoking 2 packs a day, we cannot explain why some individuals react to wireless radiation. (Source: Vitality Magazine)”
According to the National Institutes of Health, “The Precautionary Principle” in environmental science includes 4 central components:
- Taking preventive action in the face of uncertainty
- Shifting the burden of proof to the proponents of an activity
- Exploring a wide range of alternatives to possibly harmful actions
- Increasing public participation in decision making
None of this seems to be happening with new technology, does it? “Digital Addiction” is becoming a huge problem, especially among children. Silicon Valley parents have deliberately kept technology away from their kids while it’s been marketed it to families all over the world as being “educational.”
