Trump’s Choice for National Security Adviser: Islam Not a Religion

gen-flynnBy Kurt Nimmo

Donald Trump’s anti-Islam agenda is front and center now that retired Army Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn has accepted the position of national security adviser.

Flynn, the former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, consulted Carly Fiorina, Scott Walker, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, and Donald Trump. Earlier this year the Trump campaign thought about running him as vice president but settled on Mike Pence instead.

Flynn has worked with the Center for a New American Security, a think tank co-founded by Michèle Flournoy, the former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy. She advised defense secretaries Robert Gates and Leon Panetta.

Flournoy is a “liberal interventionist,” the Democrat version of a neocon.

She is a member of the Aspen Strategy Group, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the CIA’s External Advisory Board.

“Undersecretary of defense Michele Flournoy is the dictionary definition of a hawkish Democrat,” declared Thomas Donnelly, a neocon with the American Enterprise Institute, a frontline organization instrumental in arranging the invasion of Iraq. Donnelly is also the former deputy director of the now-defunct Project for the New American Century.

Flynn is a staunch anti-Islamist. Even The New York Times characterizes him that way. He will be passing his ideology on to Trump. Like George W. Bush, Trump is a lightweight when it comes to geopolitics.

Flynn doesn’t consider Islam a religion. He says it is a political ideology hiding behind the First Amendment and the freedom of religion.

  2. Let us keep the hate alive and well. The US of A needs a boogie person and let us make it an entire religion.

  3. It is not a religion – it’s a cult of Mohammed’s which includes debasing or killing anyone who defies it. Plus pedophilia ! The General is correct.

    • There are 1.6 billion Muslims on Earth, if that were true they’d already have conquered the planet 10 times over. You are a fool, falling for the hate designed to keep Americans in perpetual fear, the military at perpetual war, and the defense industry rolling in endless profits.

Those fighting extremism on the front lines are mostly Muslims of the Syrian Arab Army, Hezbollah, Iran. etc.

PS, this clown mentioned in the article is in bed with the Sauds and Qataris, so if you can’t really figure out he’s manipulating you and lying to you, I guess you deserve to continue making a fool of yourself…

  4. AHhhhhh…and I was sooo hoping DJ Trump was going to lead a second American revolution from the inside with just the casting of a vote or a little canvassing. Maybe next time kids. Or are you tired of being tag teamed by the elites and their venal properties, not called the duopoly for nothing. Perhaps knowing you’ve been played again for SUCKERS might break through the thickness.

Flynn is correct: Islam is a political philosophy

  6. This non-sense about Islam being an ideology, not a religion, has been invented by Robert Spencer, one of the main operatives of the Islamophobic Hasbara Industry. Robert Spencer is paid to come up with new terms, new fake concepts, new conspiracies against Islam/Muslims.

  7. If you want to know more about Robert Spencer, then Google for:

    1) SPLC on Robert Spencer.

    2) Fear Inc. The roots of the Islamophobia Network in America

  8. Flynn has said many things that are mutually contradictory. In his recently released book he is explicit that most Muslims are peaceful and not a threat. He never says Islam is the enemy, but always refers to radical islamism.

I think that his view of Islam is fuzzy.

His whole attitude is one of a man led by passion rather than patience. What he utters is something different from an utterance of a man with a static, fixed worldview, or an institutionally pursued agenda. He’s been an outspoken rebel with a mind of his own, ready to sacrifice a career for his beliefs. .

    He is also

    * As everyone of his profession, neocon-indoctrinated; the neocon notions are his default notions: ‘Russia and Islam hostile, Venezuela totalitarian’ (- nonsense.Mote and the beam; and projection on others what his own government is guilty of.)
But rather than dogmatic views, those are the default, i.e. the starting points of his thinking.

    * For an establishment critic and an intelligence wizard, he strikingly out of depth: he believes the official versions about 9/11 and the death of bin Laden.

    * For an advisor, strikingly lacking in wisdom.

    * To repeat, he’s at the same time passionate and sincere, with high levels of integrity, and is a fairly thick-skinned fighter.

This all points to a term of missed opportunities and turnarounds. With him, Bannon, et al … and their obstructionists, … the future should be anything but boring.
