The Autism Action Network is encouraging everyone to contact members of Congress to make Autism an election-cycle issue that needs to be answered and made accountable, especially regarding the inactions of individual members of Congress, with the exception of Representative Posey of Florida.

November 8th, 2016, all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives will be up for re-election as will 34 members of the U.S. Senate. This is the ideal time to get their attention!
Autism Action Network suggests, while I second that motion, that all voters contact their members of Congress and ask them the following question:
What have you done since the last election in your capacity as a member of Congress to help find the causes of autism; develop effective prevention and treatment; improve educational outcomes; and improve the lives of people with autism. Please be specific.
Furthermore, I heartily suggest that everyone also contact all candidates running for the office of President of the United States and ask them the following:
What will you do, if elected into office, to investigate and to stop the fraud and collusion regarding vaccine research, plus the dissemination of fraudulent vaccine science and data by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration?”

I would not suggest looking to Congress or government for a solution to Autism, no more than one should look to Congress or government for a solution to better schools. In looking for causes, one needs select the best charity and devote oneself. I’ve done the same on issues that concern me and find it much more productive than looking to government: whose only success is in enriching Wall Street, Banks, Insurance Companies, and the politicians themselves.
A better article would be for someone to investigate and recommend a charity that is funding good medical research to find the cause(s). The wealthiest county in the United States is the county housing Washington’s politicians, elite cronies, and lobbyists. It’s foolhardy to look to that group for solutions – it all leads back to their pockets. As an example, alternative energy sources and battery development are legitimate for those concerned with carbon emissions and low impact land uses. Yet what happened in my community when government starting ‘doing something’? Well, aside from Solyndra and other known national boondoggles, we had a couple of local, politically connected, oil moguls get unsecured government loans, made themselves wealthier, then defaulted/closed the companies that were doing the alternative energy work.
Please don’t call for an important issue getting tied up in such waste and greed. Tell us about some good charities that actually care about results.
Sorry, but the 501(c)3 charity NGOs are just as corrupt as Congress.
An NGO is simply any non-profit organized for a charity purpose. A 501(c) (3) is simply one of the ways the IRS uses to monitor what people are doing with their money and making sure the IRS can get as much as possible of economic activity. The laws governing excluding taxation on charity has a long, and pretty consistent history. If you’re not among the politically elite, the penalties can be harsh for not complying with the governing rules.
You simply don’t know what you’re talking about and going off half-cocked. I’ve first hand experience with volunteer work and charity donations, there are still many charities that aren’t organized like The Clinton Foundation for profiteering. For example, simple charities that help the disabled in need of long term care. Some of these charities are organized without financial donations: Clothing. Also time and work are donated. Why? Because progressives think these people are getting cared for by Government, but they are not. Not in your community, not mine, not anywhere. The most needy are the most ignored by the political elite. That leaves it to charity work and family.
If you don’t think there is a good charity for investigation into Autism, then form one. Burn out is very easy, so I’m not judgmental about when, how, or who people choose to help – family or even beyond. But you should look into your own community and verify for yourself that there are no NGO’s that aren’t corrupt.
You really need to start doing your homework pal as you obviously have no idea what 501(c)3s and NGOs are all about. Clue… It has nothing to do with charity work.
Do tell? How about you try and do some charity work and not file and properly maintain records and see how that works for you. You think nobody is doing good local charity work? Not everyone is doing charity work on a global scale scamming taxpayer and donors, som are simply trying to help local families with sick children and fund a little trip to the zoo for long term care patients. Thats an NGO, thats a 501(c)3. But an NGO and 501(c)3 can be something else as well. You being argumentative out of ignorance or just trolling?
