President Obama, the New York Times, and the entire mainstream media declare full-scale war on the 2nd Amendment

In the wake of the horrific mass shooting terrorist attack in California, President Obama, along with his allies in the media, has declared full-scale war on law-abiding gun owners despite the fact that officials claim the attacks were an act of Islamic terrorism.

This attack on the 2nd Amendment and law-abiding gun owners has included a prime-time address to the nation as well as a front page New York Times editorial that attempted to shame the American people into accepting further restrictions on their right to bear arms.

On top of that, a disgusting New York Daily News column actually compared a victim of the attack to one of the shooters themselves simply because the victim was an NRA supporter who expressed fear about Muslim-related terrorism.

Obama calls attack terrorism then calls for American gun restrictions

In a major prime-time address to the nation President Obama acknowledged that the attack in California was an act of terrorism before stating that Congress should move to further limit American gun ownership, this time under the guise of automatically banning anyone on a “No Fly List” from purchasing or owning firearms.

“Congress should act to make sure no one on a no-fly list is able to buy a gun. What could possibly be the argument for allowing a terrorist suspect to buy a semiautomatic weapon? This is a matter of national security,” Obama disingenuously argued.

While one’s first reaction to banning those on a government no fly list from purchasing weapons may be one of agreement, the fact of the matter is that thousands (at least) of law-abiding citizens have been put on these no fly lists with absolutely no way of finding out why, much less ever getting off of them.

A blanket ban on purchasing firearms for those on secretive no fly lists would literally allow the government to put any patriot or political opponent on one of the lists which would then unilaterally take away their 2nd Amendment rights.

Couple this with the fact that numerous mainstream media pundits have already admitted that their plan for gun control includes eventual mass confiscation and a clear picture of what the President is really attempting to do emerges.

NYT runs front page anti-gun editorial

In a surprising move even for the admittedly liberal leaning New York Times, the supposed paper of record decided to run a front page editorial denouncing American gun ownership in a transparent attempt at shaming Americans into accepting gun control in the wake of the California attack.

Despite admitting that authorities were still searching for an exact motive for the attack, the Times wasn’t deterred in the least bit to push their extreme position of not only a full on assault ban but the outright confiscation of all previously legally bought “assault weapons”.

But motives do not matter to the dead in California, nor did they in Colorado, Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia, Connecticut and far too many other places. The attention and anger of Americans should also be directed at the elected leaders whose job is to keep us safe but who place a higher premium on the money and political power of an industry dedicated to profiting from the unfettered spread of ever more powerful firearms.

It is a moral outrage and a national disgrace that civilians can legally purchase weapons designed specifically to kill people with brutal speed and efficiency. These are weapons of war, barely modified and deliberately marketed as tools of macho vigilantism and even insurrection.

America’s elected leaders offer prayers for gun victims and then, callously and without fear of consequence, reject the most basic restrictions on weapons of mass killing, as they did on Thursday. They distract us with arguments about the word terrorism. Let’s be clear: These spree killings are all, in their own ways, acts of terrorism.

Certain types of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in [the San Bernardino attack], and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership. It is possible to define those guns in a clear and effective way and, yes, it would require Americans who own these kinds of weapons to give them up for the good of their fellow citizens.

There you have it. Terrorists attack Americans and now all gun owners in the country should have their so-called assault weapons confiscated under the threat of government force, motive be damned.

This is the authoritarian liberal media mindset on full display once again.

NY Daily News applauds death of NRA supporter in terror attack

In a vile column published by the low standard liberal rag, columnist and authoritarian liberal Linda Stasi literally applauds the death of one of the terror attack victims all because he supported the NRA and had posted Facebook updates revealing his worry over Islamic terror in an admittedly non-PC way.

They were two hate-filled, bigoted municipal employees interacting in one department. Now 13 innocent people are dead in unspeakable carnage.

One man spent his free time writing frightening, NRA-loving, hate-filled screeds on Facebook about the other’s religion.

The other man quietly stewed and brewed his bigotry, collecting the kind of arsenal that the Facebook poster would have envied.

To Stasi and her allies in media and government, a NRA and Pamela Geller supporter is equivalent to a terrorist who murdered 14 people and injured 17 more.

Make no mistake, as disgusting and deservedly dead as the hate-filled fanatical Muslim killers were, Thalasinos was also a hate-filled bigot. Death can’t change that. But in the U.S., we don’t die for speaking our minds. Or we’re not supposed to anyway.

Thalasinos was an anti-government, anti-Islam, pro-NRA, rabidly anti-Planned Parenthood kinda guy, who posted that it would be “Freaking Awesome” if hateful Ann Coulter was named head of Homeland Security. He asked, “IS 1. EVERY POLITICIAN IS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR? 2. EVERY POLITICIAN IS A MORON? 3. EVERY POLITICIAN IS RACIST AGAINST JEWS?” He also posted screeds like, “You can stick your Muslim Million Man march up your asses,” and how “Hashem” should blow up Iran.

Pro-NRA? You deserve to die. Labeled “anti-Islam” by the liberal media? You deserve to die. Disgusted at the practices carried out by Planned Parenthood? You deserve to die. This sick logic is sadly a part of the world view held by many on the increasing extreme left.

Full-scale attack on 2nd Amendment despite admitted facts

Perhaps the most revealing aspect of these renewed calls for mass gun confiscation and the restriction or complete destruction of the 2nd Amendment is the fact that in California where the terror attack took place liberals have already passed some of the nation’s strictest gun laws.

Literally every gun control law being pushed on a national level has already been passed in the state yet the American people are supposed to believe that all gun control groups and their billionaire backers want is “common sense” reform?

The Associated Press reported this inconvenient fact:

The deadly shooting in San Bernardino happened in a state with some of the nation’s toughest gun laws: California bars assault weapons, blocks the sale of large-capacity magazines and requires universal background checks for all gun purchases.

Authorities say they believe attackers Syed Rizwan Farook and wife Tashfeen Malik had legally obtained two handguns and that two rifles were also legally purchased in California. Federal officials say the attackers had large-capacity magazines that violate California law in their SUV.

Since the attack Wednesday at a social service center in Southern California, the state’s strict laws and the apparent legal purchase of the weapons have set off a debate over the effectiveness of gun measures and whether getting tougher would help prevent more violence.

Clearly the actual facts of what happened in California matter very little to the gun grabbers who, in the past, have gone on record with their belief that eventually mass gun confiscation will be needed in America.

To recap, authorities are claiming that two Islamic terror inspired radicals killed 14 Americans and injured over a dozen more yet the President and his liberal media allies are focused on further limiting law-abiding Americans access to firearms.
