TSA failed to catch man with loaded gun on airplane

By WFLA

The Transportation Security Agency is responding after a big security failure at one of America’s busiest airports. A man says he brought a loaded gun through security at Atlanta’s airport and boarded a Southwest flight without anyone stopping him. Blake Alford says he didn’t know the gun was in his bag until he arrived at his destination.

  1. TSA isn’t about our ‘security’.
It’s about indoctrinating us to a police state.
It’s about undermining, demeaning, humiliating us in our travels.
It’s about identifying, preventing dissenters from traveling (leaving).
It’s about having another ‘agency’, another black hole to steal money from.

  2. As a lifetime solid supporter of Second Amendment rights with nothing good to say about the TSA, I think this guy at the very least needs a refresher course in the responsibilities of being armed. This includes knowing where your firearm is at all times, that it is secure from unauthorized access, and that you know its readiness condition at all times (unloaded, chamber cleared; loaded, chamber empty; loaded, round in chamber, on safe; loaded, round in chamber, off safe). For him to FORGET that he had a LOADED gun in his possession, especially when the legal consequences could have been so devastating to him, suggests he may be to a point of either senility or hectic schedule frazzle where he should voluntarily surrender his concealed carry license.

    • Oh, shut up!

    • Verily, the man is utterly incompetent, yet what does this have to say about the TSA’s efficacy in obliterating terrorism? This man, puportedly unwittingly, brought a firearm without knowing any of what he was doing, yet we are to trust the TSA to protect us against intentful, coordinated strategies of terrorism? Why do we waste funding on these clowns when they cripple commerce and waste the time of everyone traveling via air? The ignorance in America astounds me yet the media’s influence through propaganda terrifys me. Should you want to know true terror which shakes all of America’s foundations, look no further than Gun Control Terror, Racist False Accusations, Political Bipartisanism, Police Brutality, Abortion Profiteering, and War; all serving towards a singular purpose of dividing our public and collectivist strength inherent in local communities. All of the political wranglings turn neighbor against neighbor, brother against sister. We need to see past that which divides us and unite against a common enemy, those who have led us astray.

  3. I agree Jame Bennett – not to mention voyeurism – watching naked bodies all day every day – airports have turned into the belly of the beast – avoid them.

  4. I would not mind the physical hardship and emotional stress of going through TSA security checks if I believed that they actually increased my safety when traveling by air, but this incident is one of many that prove otherwise. I have to get out of a wheelchair, take off my shoes, put my cane and my very carefully thought out snacks and other items onto the xray belt, walk into a machine, place my body in a very uncomfortable position and hold it there for a few seconds, and then wait without the support of my cane for the wheelchair, and my belongings to come through the xray. I am not permitted to bring scissors to cut the yarn of my needle work. I travel across the Canada/US border so, I can’t bring fruit, vegetables, meat or fish, which I understand, but high protein alternatives like humus, nut butters or yogurt are not allowed because they count as liquids or gels. I can’t eat most airport or airplane foods due to a life threatening allergy. When i travel it is usually a 12 to 18 hour day with 3 or 4 airports and at least 2 security checkpoints. At the end of the day, I am tired, sore, and hungry. I go through all of this for safety sake and yet, guns and bombs get through without detection.

    • It ticks me off as a Veteran of this nation to hear someone like you being treated like trash. I served my nation to maintain our Freedom, not have it twisted by this illegal govt. God bless,

  5. Well, on the bright side, TSA was also dumb enough to get caught smuggling drugs just the other day.

  6. He came forward to help show that they need to “tighten up?” The media has done this type of thing before with tsa vulnerabilities. Seriously, this is more about “making us more secure” than it is about some actor perpetrating as a “good Samaritan.”

If the mainstream media broadcasts it, there is something under the surface.

  7. what a load of bullshit, they take away peoples civil liberties and create a police state to protect people from terrorists and grope peoples crotches at airport checkpoints and then when it comes down to it, they cant even stop someone from taking a gun onto a plane. whats it all for? its all for creating a bullshit control system and it has NOTHING to do with protecting you at all. people need to wake up and stop this.
