This is a Tipping Point: Robots “Cheaper Than Any Human Worker” Means the End of Jobs

chinese-robot-noodle-making-armyBy Mac Slavo

Before future-history brings us a dark and grim reality pitted against a killer Terminator robot army, humanity will have to face job killing robots.

And that may be the bloodiest period of human history, after unemployment leads to riots, unrest and bitter aftermath scenarios play out as a consequence.

Robotic labor is now literally cheaper than human labor, and it is poised to undercut work forces and drive layoffs in even in the most exploitative, slave-wage factories in the world.

Mass unemployment, destroying jobs in every conceivable sector, is a growing danger. Truckers, factory workers, waitresses, teachers, bureaucrats and bosses are all directly threatened by robotic labor, with millions and millions of Americans facing a 90-99% chance of termination (check out your odds in this jobs calculator). In a short span of time, employment could go from bad to virtually non-existent.

The system is already strained to the max, and millions of Americans are struggling just to get by. Those in the Middle Class are endangered. The poor and nearly-poor are the most dependent on government that they’ve ever been in history, and tens of millions more will soon join them, and become almost completely dependent on the State for their livelihood.

Now, South Korea is making a huge move to undercut China on labor costs by displacing humans once and for all in their production facilities, in a bid to edge up on their Asian rival. Samsung has vowed to createrobots that do the work automatically, and without the need for breaks, meals, or days off that are literally “cheaper than any human worker.”

This is the tipping point. Things will not get better from here without a great and painful struggle.

Secret blueprint for surviving the economic collapse (Ad)

The Metro reports:

In the future, we will all be on benefits, while rich people use robots to make even MORE money.

That’s the dark future hinted at by Samsung’s new ‘big project’ – a plan to build robots cheaper even than the miserably underpaid humans who work in Chinese factories.

If so, it marks a dark day for the future of human employment – as so far, many jobs have been protected simply because humans are cheaper than machines.

Humans face a literal existential crisis for relevance, purpose and survival. All but the most ultra-wealthy risk being pulled down with this tidal force.

People will become pawns in their own existence. In the coming age of human pets, dignity comes at a high price. People will be kept around at the pleasure of their controllers, and live a shallow existence off of welfare benefits for absolutely every calculable dimension of life.

The truth is chilling and cold, even if it is not immediately shocking. As SHTF previously reported, In the Robotic Near-Future, Most “Will Live Off Government-Provided Income”:

In the future, virtually everyone you know may be on the dole.

From The Week:

The robopocalypse for workers may be inevitable. In this vision of the future, super-smart machines will best humans in pretty much every task. A few of us will own the machines, a few will work a bitwhile the rest will live off a government-provided income… the most common job in most U.S. states probably will no longer be truck driver.

While many, perhaps even most, will be kept alive as domesticated sheeple, some will be eliminated, fittingly by a computer, after being determined by a judging computer to hold a negative value in society, where the costs of putting up with them outweighs the benefits of sustaining them. The manner of elimination is likely to be subtle, but deadly nonetheless.

Fabian socialist George Bernard Shaw, who is an architect of many of the systems that have grown up around us, intended it this way:

Socialism means equality of income or nothing… under socialism you would not be allowed to be poor. You would be forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you like it or not. If it were discovered that you had not character enough to be worth all this trouble, you might possibly be executed in a kindly manner; but whilst you were permitted to live you would have to live well.

The power dynamic for personal freedom under this future is grim. Dissent becomes a most dangerous act.

Preppers will become outlying survivors – until they are targeted individually for elimination by killer robots who will be enforcing a database of petty laws. That is, unless humanity fights back, bringing us back to the Terminator version of events.

Can the future help change the mistakes of the past? The question will make for a good discussion while waiting in line for a job or a hot meal, only keep it under your breath so you aren’t picked up by the monitors.

  1. No problem! Nikola Tesla said that energy may be FREE of charge!
LET robots do our jobs – and let us share & gift salary! it’s time for a GIFT ECONOMY! Everything on this Earth should / could / must be FREE OF CHARGE:
-FREE WATER is a human right
-FREE FOOD is a human right
    -FREE SHELTER is ahuman right
We just need to consent !

    • right, free. the elites R quick to tell us: “there is no free lunch” but they gained their wealth from free labor aka slavery. hypocrities, all of them. it is time for us to unite against them.

  3. People will just have to grow their own food and build their own shelter if they cannot be employed to earn money to do it themselves. aND BARTER. We will be back at point A

  4. Govt needs taxes & corporations need to sell stuff. If nobody has a job there will be no taxes or sales. Kinda short sited unless of course they plan to accelerate the Georgia Stones scenario. This will be easy to do with forced vaccinations & toxic environmental chemicals & bioweapons.

So who is going to buy all the widgets the robots make?
    Unemployed humans?
    Not likely.

Please investigate a Resource Based Economy. It is a totally different
global social system that allows for all people to sustainably live
equally in the abundance these kinds of machines create. It is
specifically designed to manage resources for a world without human
labor. It alleviates poverty and inequality while providing everyone
with access to the goods and services they need and desire. It’s a new operating system for the 21st century and beyond.

I tried to post a few links to books and documentaries with more information, but sadly they haven’t made it through the moderation process. It seems we cannot post links of any kind. So, I’ll leave a list to google instead:

      Available on YouTube:
The Choice is Ours Part I and II presented by The Venus Project
Paradise or Oblivion presented by The Venus Project
Future by Design presented by The Venus Project
Zeitgeist:Moving Forward presented by The Zeitgeist Movement (this one is also available on Netflix)

The Best that Money Can’t Buy by Jacque Fresco
Designing the Future by Jacque Fresco
Robots Will Seal Your Job But That’s Okay by Federico Pistono
Critical Path by R. Buckminster Fuller

I also recommend you check out “The Venus Project – Global” and “The Zeitgeist Movement Global” on Facebook. They have many shorter videos if you simply don’t have time for longer documentaries.

      • Yes Nelliana i have researched a #RBE and it is a solution to our current problems.
Our current situation is only going to get worse and it will help to have a understanding on why but to also know that we have a solution.

      • Great list! Thank you!

      • Elite have hijacked all GIFT ECONOMY SITES AND INFORMATIONS – the truth is, we just have to start planting FREE FRUIT-TREES along roads and create food abundance out of free seeds that we already have in our tomatos, avocados..(learn on youtube how to germinate before they bring seedless fruits on market) trhough “gerrilla gardening”.
Then, we have to create FREE SERVICES, exchange knowledge and create FREE of charge schools where well educated mothers would teach for FREE.
And, here is the secret of FREE HEALTH that heal all mental, phsyical and even genetic disorders : go raw vegan! I do not need glasses any more, I healed my poliarthrits and stopped pre-diabetes… for FREE!
After, SOVEREIGNTY for all – no laws – all probles should be resolved through consent of sovereign individuals.
No man could buy another man, any more. No stealin, no corruption could be… in a world of FREE. The world can heal through the GIFT ECONOMY

    • Yes, Nelliana! Thank you for talking solutions!! In
a monetary based economy this can be very threatening, but in a
resource based economy technological unemployment is a wonderful thing
that allows people to be free to pursue their passions. It’s coming, one way or the other… The choice is ours.

Yes! This is such a good thing to point out. Thank you, Kate. When you look at it from the perspective of loosing your job and not being able to pay your bills or buy food, fearing the prospect of homelessness, technology can be terrifying, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We can make technology work for all of us and live lives pursuing our dreams without worry of money in a Resource Based Economy.

  8. Many years ago, I wanted to cantact and help Venus project. It seems to me that this movement has been hijacked. There is no initiative, no possibility to do anything without a hierarchical technocracy!
it’s better to start alone, in your neighborhood, sharing and gifting, as a sovereign individual without leader, without a boss… on a horizontal social basis!

    • Nelliana Calvert | October 27, 2015 at 10:20 pm | Reply

I’m sorry but you should do more research. If you have looked into a Resource Based Economy or The Venus Project or The Zeitgeist Movement and came away thinking it would be a hierarchical technocracy then you have not done nearly enough research. That is simply untrue and totally incorrect. When this post didn’t immediately go through the moderation process I mistakenly thought I was disapproved and reposted without the video. In the replies to that comment I listed several resources that will help you get started.

      • GO ALONE AS A SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL and create a world that you want to see – do not wait for Venus technocracy that has been kidnapped — just research the” beginning of the movement “- there are no real projects for almost 50 years – there is nothing, really nothing … but selling words!

I have spent many, many years researching and working hard on propagation of a GIFT /MOTHERS’ economy! Alone, I have done more for the idea of MOTHERS’ / GIFT ECONOMY than any of those technocrates who propagete their hierarchical “venus project” for almost 50 years…

        • Nelliana Calvert | October 28, 2015 at 1:43 am | Reply

Um… There is no hierarchy in a RBE. And there is also no “Venus technology”. There is only technology. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that I am advocating strictly for The Venus Project. A Resource Based Economy is advocated for by many organizations, not just TVP. This isn’t 1974, anymore. Here in 2015 we have well more than enough technology in the actual working world than we need to begin transitioning. We don’t have to wait for anything.

I appreciate that you have something you believe in and have worked on. It is not my mission to chage your world view. I’m merely attempting to educate others about the options we have as a civilization if we could put our minds to it. So you are free to advocate for whatever you like, but, regardless of how many years you have invested, you clearly do not understand the system I’m advocating, as nothing you have said is acurate.

A Resource Based Economy is an egalitarian social system, that applies the scientific method to social concern, utilizing our current technological capabilities to provide access to sustainable abundance so as to increase the quality of life for every person on earth while simultaneously working to repair the damage to our planet. It is a system that is designed for a world that no longer requires human labor as we know it, the world we are rapidly approaching.

  9. Robots replacing workers would give ex-workers a new experience; the time to think things out for themelves as to: Why do human beings exist?

  10. Jeremy Steptowe | November 2, 2015 at 11:07 pm | Reply

What I would like to know is if they take away peoples jobs they also loose customers. Doesn’t matter how cheap something is to make if you kill the demand for the product.

  11. Nelliana that’s what we all should be aiming at. The Resource Based Economy proposed by The Venus Project is a much better solution for all humans and the Earth.
