U.S. Agrees To Act As Terrorist Bodyguard; Open To Attacking Assad Forces

By Brandon Turbeville

Fresh on the heels of the establishment of an “ISIL-Free Zone” (aka “No-Fly Zone”) in northern Syria along the Turkish border, the United States has quietly announced that it will also extend its airstrike operations to act as the traveling bodyguard of the jihadists it has trained and “vetted.”

The policy, reportedly authorized by Barack Obama, would involve the US Air Force bombing any force attacking the so-called “moderate rebel fighters,”including the Syrian military.

The announcement was first reported on Sunday by the Wall Street Journal via anonymous military sources. The senior military official told the WSJ “For offensive operations, it’s ISIS only. But if attacked, we’ll defend them against anyone who’s attacking them. We’re not looking to engage the regime, but we’ve made a commitment to help defend these people.”

White House National Security Council spokesman, Alistair Baskey, stated “We won’t get into the specifics of our rules of engagement, but have said all along that we would take the steps necessary to ensure that these forces could successfully carry out their mission.”

Pentagon spokeswoman Commander Elissa Smith, added to the statement by saying “We recognize, though, that many of these groups now fight on multiple fronts, including against the Assad regime, (Islamic State) and other terrorists.”

The military official quoted by the WSJ as well as Commander Smith’s statements address the main area of concern in regards to the new US policy. Since the “moderate rebels” who, in reality, are not moderate at all, are locked in combat with the Syrian government forces, the door has officially been opened wider to a direct military confrontation between the United States and Syrian militaries under the guise of protecting “moderates.”

Already, the United States has allowed jihadists to call in airstrikes, with one such example occurring on Friday July 31.

Of course, it should be pointed out that there is no such thing as a moderate rebel fighting inside Syria nor has there ever been such a fighting force operating there. The entirety of the “opposition” is made up of terrorists, jihadists, and mercenaries, all funded, supported, trained, and armed by NATO and the GCC.

With that in mind, any confrontation that takes place would find the United States in a flagrant act of direct aggression against a sovereign country, even greater than those acts already perpetrated by the U.S. in Syria.

This new policy is yet even more evidence that the US and NATO goal is to destroy the secular government of Bashar al-Assad as well as the entire nation of Syria. While this has been the goal of the U.S. since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, recent weeks have seen a steady increase in provocations and policies designed to bait a Syrian response and create a situation in which U.S. bombing and direct military assaults on the Syrian government could be presented as somehow justified.

It is only a matter of time before Assad’s steadfast repulsion of ISIS and al-Qaeda fighters is used as a justification for American airstrikes on the Syrian government.

Unfortunately, all signs are pointing to the possibility that Syria is about to enter the second phase of destabilization, a phase that Libya knows all too well.

The Syrian Moderate Rebels are ISIS or USISIS, which shows you the US air strikes in Syria have always been about Syrian infrastructure, removing Assad and not the USISIS. How can you defend someone you are supposedly attacking. The foreign policy of Washington is very skewed. If Assad was removed from power, the USISIS would disappear into the desert after more phony bombing by the US.

Isnt it just cutsey that the US agenda and ISIS always seems to snuggle up together. All the Christian Beheading was an act of love that all christians are grateful for.

I don’t see what this has to do with Pepe Escobar. Guilt by association when their not even associates, just published at the same place. I really don’t know much about AT, I only read Pepe there but I really don’t see how this diminishes HIS writing. I will say just reading the first few lines and skimming the rest it’s a piece of shit piece of zio bs, you’re not wrong there. But hey, don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.

  4. Where, by any internationally recognised laws, is this in any way legal?

Someone needs to stop these vampires! This is nothing but an act of war on a sovereign nation, and all the prominent Western-aligned countries turn a blind eye.

The machinations leading to this point have been in plain view since the rise of the contrived entity called ISIL.

This needs to be exposed for what it is. Nothing here justifies the US the right to act unilaterally?

    • Common Sense | August 4, 2015 at 7:11 pm | Reply

      That’s just the thing.
It’s not legal but if no one stops them… you know the rest.

We have so many clear infractions by this so called government we should have locked them all up years ago, and have all the justification to do so, but who is going to stick their neck out.
Corruption never reforms and they will fight as soon as they see any real resistance.

Our apathy and cowardice has created a monster that will see us as a threat no matter what we do.

We are creating our own hell and the kicker is when they turn on the average american for absolutely nothing it will destroy the very resource these idiots need to survive.

In essence, the parasites will kill the host it depends on.

And the American sheeple went BAAAAAAAA.

  6. So,if I read the article correctly, the US has declared war on Syria?

    • Effectively so. Yet one more example of United States/Rottenchild private corporation assault upon people of the world.

Our criminal government is destroying everything our Founding Fathers fought against. All wars are bankers wars and regime change is the name of the game and they won’t be happy until they have taken away another country’s sovereignty and destroyed them with the Central Banks. Does Libya ring a bell?

USAQAF. And of course they’re not going to get into operational details or however they put it or they’d be admitting what we all know is the worst kept secret in the world among people who know anything about anything, which unfortunately doesn’t include anywhere near enough Americans. More proof of their true aims, as if we needed it, but certainly a bad omen for Syria. And the Kurds. And humanity while I’m at it.

  9. In Syria – I served there not many years ago in a military capacity as a monitor and “UN enforcer” for border incidents between Syria and Israel.

The Syrian Free Army is not the organization the US led coalition and media would have you believe.

To bomb Assad and his troops is to give carte blanche to the so called moderates – who – when this is all over – will carry out a slaughter that is going to make ISIS, Hitler, Mao and Stalin look like a group of choir boys.

The FSA is as evil as they come and are only our friends right now because cash, bullets and weapons flow – cut them off and they will turn on us.

Before anyone jumps on me – I am not a complete Assad supporter – however, he did not want the job he has today – he was an ophthalmologist in the UK when his father died – his brother took over
the job as dictator and was killed in a car accident. Assad returned to take over from his brother

Assad returned and started many new reforms in the country – which PO’d the hard liners.

They did not approve of women being allowed to walk the streets in Damascus unattended and uncovered. They did not approve of Assad allowing the Christians to live unmolested. Assad created an oil industry and a tourist industry. And much more.

Assad provided electricity to all, education to all – including females – medical and dental to all – no one was hungry.

There is much more. However when the trouble started in Daraa it did not start because he was a harsh task master – which in fact he was – he kept the Muhabarat (Syrian equivalent of the Soviet KGB) to keep any trouble makers in line.

It started because the religious leaders did not like Assad’s liberal ways.

If anything the west should be supporting Assad not assisting in and planning his down fall

When Assad was accused of using Sarin gas in Damascus by the media – the weapons inspection team that the UN sent to investigate this criminal use of a weapon of mass destruction in the city of Damascus was led by Norwegian Major General Mood.

The team found Assad had not used those weapons and in fact determined it was the FSA that had used the poison gas on the residents of Damascus – all of which was quickly and quietly buried by the media as it did not play well in the face of the developing American plan to discredit Assad.

People need to do their due diligence and realize that to bomb Assad is to broaden this war and to open up new fronts – those fronts will indeed cause far more death and destruction – and when the FSA is given the keys to Syria – the slaughter will be of biblical proportions.

And the caliphate will have been formed.

Thanks to the man in the White House today – and his complicit military leaders – all as obama had planned from day one.

    • A pretty good analysis of what awaits Assad’s overthrow, and it is coming unfortunately. His Zionist enemies are evil and relentless. But why is Hitler included alongside of the worst butchers of all time, Mao and Stalin? The writer should know by now that virtually everything we have been taught, and everything thrown at us by the controlled media about National Socialist Germany is an outright lie. And that includes the biggest campfire story of the 20th century, the hoax of the six million.

      • I know Steve – the world is a crazy place and truth is not a valued commodity any more.

And – it was more than six million – that was just the Jews – there were many others as well – and I suspect you already know that.

But then again I am just an old military guy that has unfortunately seen the worst in many parts of the world and the media does not care about what I have seen and what I say.

I am not rich, famous, beautiful or educated – so I am easily dismissed.

However the truth will always be the truth – and there are at least a few out there that still understand that.

        • it was about 170,000 jews. Died from Typhus and starvation. Not from gas chambers. Gas chambers are among the many Khazars’ lies.

          • Bravo Zulu | August 4, 2015 at 9:07 am |

Actually I have pics and family history that would say the opposite – in fact having stood there with folks who survived – perhaps I was wrong about Steve and now you.

            Have you actually been there?

            I have.

So have many of my family – and I am not a Jew but they were in the camps as well – this will drive us off topic and I will not continue after this – suffice to say the people I am related to were German – they went to the camps and many did not survive. They admit to my family that the Jews went to the ovens – that first person story will never make me believe you if you are marginalizing the things that the Germans did to the Jews.

Let’s not deflect, deny and change the topic – here it is about Syria and Assad – if you want to change it start a new thread – we can argue there.

I am out of this particular discussion – although I am certain you will have a come back – it is always the way.

          • Bravo Zulu | August 5, 2015 at 6:51 pm |

This took place in 1977 – the survivors told me personally as I stood there – your comprehension is suffering – read my comment again and try to absorb it – slowly – call me all you want – I am straight up – and as I predicted – you and your ilk showed your true colors – actually I believe you might be the same person using multiple accounts – bye bye

    • This puppet Obamao did not plan anything.
Would you, being a general, let a lieutenant plan something ?

This was planned long before Obamao was even on the scene.
Everything goes as planned and will continue under the next puppet in the WH.

Exactly. Thank you for bringing that FACT to the attention of the readers.
When it comes to acts such as these these simpletons, Clinton, Bush and Obama Etc haven’t any power except to go to the bathroom on their own.

They are nothing but figure heads giving the illusion we have a legitimate working government helping do their part on stage in the kabuki theater

The real power is the banking cabal and their mafia brothers that you never see.

The masks are beginning to slip though and many are becoming aware of the facade.

Beware of their next ploy of good cop bad cop with china and russia being the saviors.
That’s why we are seeing the US doing all sorts of blatant and outlandish things to drive the people to the arms of those in the east that they think will save them.

        All part of the plan.

  10. I “borrowed” this pic

Anyone think the FSA will do this after the US helps them win?

I can only hope the mods allow this one

A no “flight zone” was the method used by NATO forces to
destroy Libya. The U.S. is a very mentally
sick nation that has been on a nation destroying binge for quite some time now. All these wars whether overt, like the
invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq or the covert war against Libya, Syria and
    Ukraine, constitute war crimes.

These war crimes were carried out under the banner of the “War
on Terror” after the “9/11 inside job”, carried out by traitorous, deep cover
elements within our intelligence and military forces , as well as those of our
allies and blamed on Muslim hijackers patsies. Scource: http://www.amazon.com/CIA-Incorporated-Herbert-Dorsey-III/dp/1478757930

Someday soon, when there is a real investigation of the 9/11
crime, the real criminals of 9/11 will be indicted for their crimes.

I wouldn’t hold my breath on “someday soon”, but soon is relative. Maybe one day, many, many years from now after the U.S. empire has collapsed.

It’s the only way they can pay off their debt to the banking cabal.
      It’s our new job now.

Watch how the first thing they do when they overthrow Assad is to create a london based central bank.

  13. On Friday, Al Nusra (the former Al Qaeda in Iraq) Captured the US trained “Moderates”, Al Nusra is supposed to be US backed and in the fight against ISIS, but they don’t want the new boys on their turf.

Who can you trust these days? You give Al Nusra millions and weapons and everything, forgive them all their past murders, and still they don’t play nice.
What is the world coming to?

  14. Robert Colescott | August 4, 2015 at 11:41 am | Reply

They intended to attack and overthrow Assad all along. And this is a pretty deceitful way of doing it. The ISIS Black Op has worked for the CIA (whoever runs the CIA and American foreign policy) regardless of the obvious underhanded propaganda strategy. It’s a chickenshit way to run things though.

Exactly right, but the last time they threatened hard putin stepped in and stopped them.

      Where is he now????

He’s getting his script just like all the rest, and I’m sure it’s different this time around.

Have to do the bidding of the bankers you know.
