Chattanooga Gunman Yet Another Mass Shooter on Antidepressants

By Melissa Dykes

By now most people know the basic facts, at least what are called “facts” as reported by the mainstream media regarding the Tennessee mass shooting.

According to reports, last Thursday twenty-four-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez opened fire at a Chattanooga army recruiting center, injuring a police officer. Then he opened fire at a navy recruiting center about five miles away, killing four servicemen and wounding another three, one of whom later passed away. All told, five people lost their lives before the Abdulazeez was shot and killed by police.

By now, it shouldn’t surprise anyone much that the media is reporting Abdulazeez was depressed and taking medications for it, medications which he frequently started and stopped.

Antidepressants, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), come with FDA-mandated black box warnings on the labels to inform users, “about increased risks of suicidal thinking and behavior, known as suicidality, in young adults ages 18 to 24 during initial treatment.”

According to the FDA:

Pooled analyses of short-term placebo-controlled trials of antidepressant drugs (SSRIs and others) showed that these drugs increase the risk of suicidal thinking and behavior (suicidality) in children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 18-24) with major depressive disorder (MDD) and other psychiatric disorders.

Not that ages are an exact predictor here, but Abdulazeez was 24.

A black box warning is the most serious one the FDA can place on a prescription medication bar none. What they don’t tell you is that these drugs don’t just cause suicidal feelings, but homicidal ones as well.

Now consider America takes more psychotropic medications like antidepressants than any other country on the planet by far. More than 30 million Americans are on these medications right now. It’s an astonishing situation if you really think about it.

Even people who aren’t purposefully taking antidepressants may be “taking” them.

In the last decade, the Associated Press conducted a five-month investigation and found the drinking water of at least 46 million Americans in 24 major metropolitan areas was indeed tainted with pharmaceuticals. Wastewater treatment does not remove these drugs, and people are drinking them, cooking with them, and bathing in them. The report advises, “The federal government does not regulate prescription drugs in the water.” So just consider how many pharmaceuticals people who knowingly take prescription medications and swallow them down with regular city tap water are actually ingesting in this country.

Worse, however, is the known fact that nearly every highly publicized mass shooting in recent American history involves a shooter on (or very recently going off) one or more of these medications at the time of the shooting. In fact, nearly every mass shooting in the last two decades involves psychiatric medications. Prior to the late 1980s when Prozac first came on the market, mass shootings were not anywhere near as common as they are today.

The Washington Post just reported,

Abdulazeez had been in and out of treatment for his depression and frequently stopped taking his medication, despite his parents’ pleas for him to continue, said a person close to the family.

Frequently started and stopped taking medicines with FDA black box warnings that disrupt levels of chemicals in the brain to cause suicidal (and obviously homicidal) thoughts?

Considering the history of American mass shooters in recent years, that would do it.

In fact, any time a mass shooting hits the news these days, the first thing people ask isn’t why he or she did it but whether or not the killer was on antidepressant medications.

    • Well, it seems you are one of the few who recognize dykes B.S story.
she is propping up the “real shooter” crap, when in fact it was another
“false flag” NO SHOOTER, GUN GRABBING ! Get it dykes !

As far as I am concerned, when one of these happen, it was done by the minions in the District of Columbia until they prove to me different. I mean real facts, not manufactured BS that should start with ,Long long ago, in a land far away, and end with, they all lived happily ever after.

  3. Ms. Dykes, thank you for the information about prescription drugs in our tap water. I had indeed heard this before, but sometimes we need confirmation and/or reminders on may things. My own thoughts on the matter, (not at all discounting or negating your info), Isn’t it coincidental how Mr. Abdulazeez just happens to be the perfect fall guy? This person who, by his friends admission, didn’t like the philosophy or tactics of Isis, all of sudden becomes a lone wolf for them? All of this so called information coming in drips and drabs are just too perfect. Has anyone else noticed that? He conveniently winds up dead when there was no car chase. when initially the conflicting reports, (I was flipping between MSNBC and CNN) said he got away in an unknown vehicle no one knew (what they said right after the incident) which direction he went. Cnn reported that students were on lock down. Then, they mentioned briefly on MSN that the shooter wasnt by the school and there are many false reports. all of a sudden, (this was on MSN while CNN was saying something COMPLETEL different) the police are saying he has been shot (msnbc). There wasn’t any chase (because no one knew what kind of car he was driving because, by one report, everyone dropped and just heard shots and did not see the person). They said multiple people may have been involved. Then CNN reports Abdulazeez wasnt on the radar. They also used something he wrote in school that basically said he was judged simply by his last name whereas no one else’s last name posed that problem. Totally taken out of context, Wolf Blitzer says that may show he had motive. HOWEVER, I don’t know if anyone else caught this article (I forget which site but it was one of the major ones, because that’s where I have been getting my “info”)that said the family had been under FBI surveillance for 7 months. Middle eastern person who (by his friends and family’s admission)had a lifelong passion for practice shooting. But then, the media (and the powers that be) tries to give us an “ahh, haa!” He was liked by all, yet all of a sudden (friends and family did not initially say this) “He was troubled after his 7 month trip”(hmmm, the same amount of surveillance time. That may be coincidence) Wouldn’t this be the first thing YOU would have lead with, if you were middle Eastern and Islamic? It would seem that you would want to take the focus off of the family being affiliated with any terror cell) Initially, they didn’t know why he would do something like this. However, NOW the report is “he was always starting and stopping his anti depressant meds.” Middle eastern, been over seas, had many guns in his vehicle enough to kill many people, and yet, He only kills (and i don’t mean “only” as if their life was not meant anything. ALL life is precious) 5 MILITARY?
And there you have it folks. Not “conspiracy theory” as some might try to make it. A reason to justify activating the militarized police force ,which they have been doing, and trying to do more. Now they have justification. states have already proposed bringing in the National Guard, because the police wouldn’t know how to operate some of the “equipment”, but the police DO know the streets better than the National Guard would. That is what the main news reports have said. Now, will it actually happen and if so, how quickly? that remains to be seen. But if we cant see where they are at the very least, TRYING to take this, than we are purposefully deaf, dumb and blind. The key word being “purposefully” because we know the game that’s being played out, and yet we refuse to see.
Sorry for the length. I hope what I am TRYING to say can be understood in spite of my lack of writing skills. Maybe, someone has other things they have heard that lends support to this situation being more than what the government is trying to give the public. p.s: Dont think that “el chapo” wont be one of the reasons given for putting more police force by the border.

Excellent analysis, and very well written. Thanks for putting all that into perspective.

I have long hoped that the Oath Keepers would have a sufficiently pervasive influence on the police and military that our government would have a difficult time turning too large a proportion of our serving sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, and mothers and fathers against US citizens–their own families. This is apparently part of the government’s solution to that problem.

Incidentally, seven months may well be sufficient to turn an otherwise normal person into a Manchurian Candidate.

And coming up: Jade Helm. Which fits in neatly as well..

      • “Incidentally, seven months may well be sufficient to turn an otherwise normal person into a Manchurian Candidate.”
EXACTLY! You just phrased it without all of the over stating it, as I always seem uncontrollably compelled to do….lol
Maybe, I’m a different kind of “candidate”. 🙂

“Maybe, I’m a different kind of ‘candidate’?” Hey buddy, maybe I’m the last guy you want to meet. Perhaps I’m the last guy you will ever meet. You don’t sound quite right, Jeremiah. Your last sentence.

          And “lol,” kids use that.

      • AJA, PLEASE read my revised statement. i haven’t changed my thoughts on the matter, but I think i just worded it WAY better. My initial post didn’t reflect my thoughts as clear as I believed it had:

I thought you handled it fine the first time, but I’m looking for your revised version. In my original post I now realize I left out the fire department. I am extremely sorry about this oversight. Those guys are crazy enough to run into burning buildings and rescue babies and wise old ladies. Very special people. They face a horrible death every day, for a living. Cops and politicians don’t do that. I must be crazy myself not to have put them up front.

  4. ACLU (formerly the legal arm of the Communist Party USA) instituted a series of lawsuits in the 1970’s claiming new human right of the insane to refuse interment in asylums for the criminally insane. Since then ALL MASS MURDERS have been committed by the clinically insane. Bravo ACLU!

    • Average Joe American | September 7, 2015 at 10:08 am | Reply

Internment. And the. And you’re probably right about the other stuff, Marc. It can’t all be blamed on the ACLU, however. Powerful forces were behind this.

Reality time! for all you Politically correct types, I don’t give a damn if you are offended. The evidence is in and like it or not, The Murders in Chattanooga were committed by an ISLAMO-FASCIST TERRORIST. ANOTHER group of VICTIMs of ISLAM. Looking at the druggies or mentally ill will not work this time. The islamo-PUKE who committed the act of terrorism was a follower of one of the ISLAMO PUKE organizations. This time, Al Quaeda. I for one don’t see the difference between the ISLAMO-PUKES called Al Quaed, ISIS/ISIL, Islamic Brother Hood, SHIITES>PLO>or what ever vile RAT name they call themselves. They are nothing but blood thirsty, hate filled, satanic pieces of human excrement. The act in Chattanooga was an ACT of ISLAMIC TERRORISM. America was warned. The idiot in the White House was warned and IGNORED the warnings. Now, the idiot in the White House would suggest that our military be forced to walk around w/o their uniforms/without weapons, etc. Bottom line the idiot in the White House has not business as commander in chief. His presidency has been a dismal failure, unless you are some Anti-American Stalinist, then you can say, well done. I am not, there fore Obama is a LOSER

    • Beny Footworn | July 21, 2015 at 5:31 pm | Reply

I would not to hate ISIS when ISIS was created by the U.S. and that is what the U.S. wants me to do. I have to consider mental illness and medications when nearly all mass shootings are done by those receiving psychiatric treatment because a lot of these mass shootings do not have anything to do with ISIS or some other terrorist organization.

      • armydadtexas | July 21, 2015 at 9:08 pm | Reply

Dumb ass, the murders that took place in Chattanooga, were committed by an ISLAMO-Fascist. You may not like reality, but reality it remains. Now your god, Obama has to finally say the words ISLAMIC TERRORISM. I know you hate that, but the fact remains. Now if anyone created ISIS/ISIL or what ever this brand of ISLAMO-PUKE is from America, B.H.Obama and Hillary Clinton are to blame. Stick that in your crack pipe and smoke it.

    • Good post.

  8. I think it’s important to keep aware of the fact that anyone on psychotropic medication also has something else in their life: a psychiatrist. And psychiatrists can certainly be involved in government “experimentation” – such as, inserting suggestions in suggestible subjects or even creating alter personalities. Presto, terrorist shooter! The timing, in this case sure seems convenient for the gummint. Finally, a shooter with one of them funny names who actually killed some folks. And, bonus, not on a government watch list or being handled by an FBI “informant.”

    • Average Joe American | September 7, 2015 at 8:18 am | Reply

You are frighteningly brilliant. How did you get that way, and how did I miss this for two months? You neglected to mention that psychiatrists have explained away torture as “enhanced” interrogation. I considered that a nice touch on their part.

  9. How many of the last ten mass shooters have been on these drugs?

We used to hospitalize these people, then the liberals through then ACLU sued to close these institutions because of their “feel good” BS.
How many of the innocents would still be alive if not for liberal insanity?

i think the title should be ANOTHER F#$^ING MUSLIME KILLS 5 AMERICANS

  11. Its hard to disagree with facts, however going in to a military bases is not the same as going inside the church this man clearly had an extra motivation to do what he did.

  12. It is called Revolution. Liberalism is like a cancer, it has infected the body politics and is killing the great experiment America was deemed to be.
I believe we will see a financial collapse which will lead in an ultra conservative movement whereas the liberals may experience a backlash they had not intended.
