ACTIVIST ALERT: Free Cele Castillo Campaign Underway

On July 20th 2011 it will 2 years since the unconstitutional confinement of Celerino (Cele) Castillo III. Cele was convicted on Federal Gun charges for “illegally” selling a gun to a Federal informant. This was NOT a crime in Texas then, or ever since. To read more about Cele’s case go here.

Cele is a Bronze Star winning Vietnam veteran, and most famously a DEA “Iran / Contra” Whistle Blower. Since his retirement he has had numerous TV, radio and newspaper interviews in order to expose what he knows about the CIA and DEA collaboration with drug traffickers and murderers in Central America. His TV appearance include “Current Affair” (1994); a one-hour documentary aired in 1994 by the Australian Broadcasting Company exposing Oliver North’s drug trafficking activities; ABC’s “Prime Time Live” on December 27, 1995 (on the US protection of criminal military officers in Guatemala) and Date-Line (NBC) June 13, 1997. In 1994, Castillo was able to co-author his book Powderburns Cocaine, Contras and the Drug War. Recently we have discovered that the BATFE, the FBI, and the DEA have been involved in a cover-up of the US Govt using “stimulus” money to arm Mexican Drug Lords on the US border. According to the LA Times (Just one among many Alternative and mainstream news sources):

The embattled head of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has told congressional investigators that the FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration kept his agency “in the dark” about their dealings with Mexican drug cartel figures linked to a controversial gun-trafficking investigation.

‘Our investigation has clearly expanded,’ one source close to the investigation said Wednesday. ‘We know now it was not something limited to just a small group of ATF agents in Arizona.’

…Some of the Mexican drug cartel leaders being targeted were paid informants working for the FBI and DEA.

These recent developments in the news have shown Cele’s incarceration for what it really is; 1) Political retribution for his role in exposing Federal snooping at local TX Gun shows 2) Revenge by the Bush family, and other Texans for his role in exposing illicit drug smuggling in 1985, (Castillo’s detailed reports on the cocaine-laden planes went unheeded by DEA officials in Washington. Castillo was warned by his boss, Bob Stia, and the U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, not to interfere with the covert operations because it was protected by the White House) and 3) To use honest Texas gun owners as scapegoats for arming “narco terrorists” in Mexico, while setting a precedent that Federal laws supersede state laws.

We are DEMANDING THE IMMEDIATE PARDON OF CELERINO CASTILLO!

Join us on this second anniversary of his jailing by calling your representatives in TX, and more importantly ask both TX Gov. Rick Perry, and Obama AG Eric Holder why Cele is in prison for allegedly doing the exact same thing that the federal government has done by arming drug gangs on our border!
