Scanned without consent: NYPD places full body scanners on the streets

Youtube - RT

Across the country, people are begging for new ways to prevent another Sandy Hook incident from happening again. Now, the New York City Police Department has sprung into action and are planning on using the latest technology called "Terahertz Imaging Detection," the device scans people who are suspected of caring a firearm without their knowledge. Danny Panzella from Truth Squad TV weighs in.

Will Naked Body Scanners Come to Schools, Malls, and Movie Theaters?

Activist Post

With the recent school shooting in Connecticut coming shortly after the horrific Batman theater massacre and another recent incident at an Oregon Mall, a shocked and outraged public is demanding something be done to prevent random shootings.

If gun rights supporters in Congress are successful in fending off attempts to limit gun rights, what next? Even if stricter gun control laws are put in place, will that satisfy the American public or the tyrants in government?

Since the Oregon mall shooter and a recent theater shooter in San Antonio (TX) were stopped by people with concealed carry permits, promoting responsible citizens to learn to handle weapons may actually be the best defense against rogue shooters.

TSA Removes X-Ray Body Scanners From Major Airports

Dees Illustration
Michael Gabrell

The Transportation Security Administration has been quietly removing its X-ray body scanners from major airports over the last few weeks and replacing them with machines that radiation experts believe are safer.

The TSA says it made the decision not because of safety concerns but to speed up checkpoints at busier airports. It means, though, that far fewer passengers will be exposed to radiation because the X-ray scanners are being moved to smaller airports.

The backscatters, as the X-ray scanners are known, were swapped out at Boston Logan International Airport in early October. Similar replacements have occurred at Los Angeles International Airport, Chicago O'Hare, Orlando and John F. Kennedy in New York, the TSA confirmed Thursday.

YouTube Restricts Video Of Engineer Proving How Useless TSA Scanners Are

Steve Watson
Prison Planet

Google/YouTube has placed restrictions on yet another video that exposes the fraudulent claims of the TSA and highlights how the federal agency’s security theatre is part of a wider social manipulation agenda.

Engineer Jon Corbett of the popular blog TSA Out of Our Pants! posted a video yesterday that demonstrates how the TSA’s radiation firing body scanners can easily be bypassed.

The video shows Corbett carrying a metal case through the scanner, away from his body in his side pocket. Corbett explains that because metallic objects appear as black on the image the scanners produce, the machines do not pick up such objects if they are obscured by the background, which is also black.

US aims to stay step ahead of terrorists: TSA boss

WASHINGTON (AFP) - "Unpredictable" security agents, "naked" scanners at airports and air marshals have helped prevent another terror attack on the United States after September 11, a top US official said Wednesday.

"The terrorists keep adapting and evolving to try to defeat our security... What we try to do is make sure that we are random and unpredictable in how we go about doing things," Transportation Security Administration boss John Pistole told reporters.

"The idea is that terrorists can't go to school on what we do to try to beat us," said Pistole, who was sworn in as TSA administrator in July last year.

Radiation Overdose at the Airport

As the rate of cancer spikes among Transportation Security Agency (TSA) officers who work near the full-body scanners at the Boston Logan Airport, union reps are alarmed at having been misinformed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and TSA regarding the safety of these machines. The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, has acquired radiation studies, and radiation test results from DHS which the center says gives evidence that the government failed to appropriately test the safety of these devices at airports and disregarded concerns from airport. According to the documents, “A large number of workers have been falling victim to cancer, strokes and heart disease.”

The New Orwellian Airport Behavioral Inspections-Detections

Anthony Freda Illustration
Boiling Frog Post

TSA screeners are about to implement Orwellian behavioral inspections at airport security checkpoints. Who are these TSA screeners? These are the same low-level, incompetent, scandalous, molesting, abusive, and in some cases criminal people who have been creating one scandal after another. So what will these scandalous, incompetent and criminal police be doing to detect suspicious behavior? Most likely you have guessed it right. They will be watching you and maybe questioning you to determine whether you are suspicious, a suspect, or not. How are they going to do that, and based on what guidelines? According to their vague description, they will be looking for your “micro expressions,” such as lack of eye contact, acting agitated or nervous, that might “hint” at nefarious intent. How much hint is needed to be pulled over as a suspect? They don’t say. How agitated is considered suspiciously agitated? They don’t say that either. How much eye-aversion would count as a suspicious level of eye-aversion? They say nothing on that. How do the odds of being chosen by them increase by their own mood, biases, and various psychoses? Well, they don’t mention that either.

Basically, a bunch of already-proven incompetent, abusive, biased, and criminal people who have been high on their government-given limitless powers will be freely using their subjective judgment on whether you look or act suspicious, or not. Now I want you to think about agitation, eye-aversion, nervousness, being stressed out, being shy …Think about it, and then calculate the odds of you being determined a suspect, thus one of their chosen ones:
If you are one of those Starbuck’s addicts used to running on several shots of espresso, then place a good size bet on being one of the many TSA chosen ones. You know you are going to be jittery, and TSA will probably read your jitteriness as an ultimate indicator of your suspiciousness. You’ll be chosen.

New US software to end 'naked' airport scans

WASHINGTON (AFP) - In the face of an outcry over so-called "naked" body scans at airports, US authorities on Wednesday announced plans for a new scanning system that eliminates "passenger-specific images."

Transportation Security Administration Administrator John Pistole said the agency would begin installing new software on its scanners "designed to enhance privacy."

The new software "will auto-detect items that could pose a potential threat using a generic outline of a person for all passengers," the agency said.

Federal Court Rules TSA Violated Law By Introducing Body Scanners

Agency ordered to take public comment on continued rollout of technology

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that the TSA violated federal law by rolling out radiation firing body scanners in airports without soliciting public comment. The court will allow use of the scanners to continue, however.

A unanimous three-judge panel ruled that the TSA’s failure to provide notice and allow sufficient time for comment before adopting the technology as a primary passenger-screening tool was unlawful.

“[M]uch public concern and media coverage have been focused upon issues of privacy, safety, and efficacy, each of which no doubt would have been the subject of many comments had the TSA seen fit to solicit comments upon a proposal to use [advanced imaging technology] for primary screening,” the court said.

Specifically, the TSA’s actions violated the Administrative Procedure Act, which requires federal agencies to provide notice and opportunity for comment when implementing a rule that affects the rights of the public.

TSA claims it will soon stop molesting little children, but not adults, veterans or senior citizens

Dees Illustration

Natural News

In a policy change announcement, the TSA now claims it will soon stop molesting little children by reaching into their pants and feeling their genitals. That we live in such a police state today where the opening line to a news story even mentions government agents molesting little children should be downright astonishing, but it's the truth. Of course, the TSA never claimed it was "molesting" children, and it describes its policy change as a way to "screen children without using invasive measures."

That kind of doublespeak deserves a place in the Hall of Fame of Cowardly Language, alongside President Bush's claims of "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and President Obama's description of war in Libya as "kinetic action."

The TSA, of course, has mastered the art of Orwellian doublespeak. This is the agency that insists it does not "confiscate" anything from air travelers. Instead, those travelers all "willfully surrender" their pocket knives, decorative souvenir globes and other items that the TSA steals from them and then sells for a profit (

Texas House Bans TSA Grope Downs

Editor's Note:  Another sensible State Law that the Feds will surely ignore.

The Texas House passed a bill late Thursday night that would make it a criminal offense for public servants to inappropriately touch travelers during airport security pat-downs.

The measure would make it illegal for anyone conducting searches to touch “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person” including through clothing.

It also prohibits searches “that would be offensive to a reasonable person.”

The bill’s chief sponsor is Republican Rep. David Simpson, who said, “this has to do with dignity and travel, and prohibiting indecent, groping searches.”

Amtrak Backs Schumer Proposal For “No Ride List”

TSA goons would oversee implementation of Soviet-style internal passport system for rail travel

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet

Following New York Senator Chuck Schumer’s call for a “no ride list” that would mimic the notoriously sweeping, oppressive and ineffective “no fly list,” Amtrak has publicly backed the idea, which would officially create a Soviet-style internal passport for American citizens and make the presence of TSA workers conducting grope downs at train stations ubiquitous.

Approving of Schumer’s proposal, Amtrak Spokesperson Cliff Cole released the following statement;

"Amtrak is committed to the safety and security of our passengers and remains a safe way to travel. All countermeasures add value in creating an overall security posture in protecting a rail system that operates in an open environment. The creation of a “do not ride” list is no exception. It would, however, have to be developed in close coordination with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and implemented in a way that respects civil rights and allows for the rapid flow of persons and trains, necessary for effective mass transit."

Man With 4th Amendment Written on Chest Sues Over Airport Arrest

A 21-year-old Virginia man who wrote an abbreviated version of the Fourth Amendment on his body and stripped to his shorts at an airport security screening area is demanding $250,000 in damages for being detained on a disorderly conduct charge.

Aaron Tobey claims in a civil rights lawsuit (.pdf) that in December he was handcuffed and held for about 90 minutes by the Transportation Security Administration at the Richmond International Airport after he began removing his clothing to display on his chest a magic-marker protest of airport security measures.

“Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated,” his chest and gut read.
