The Shortest Language Bill Just Introduced Into The U.S. Congress

By Catherine J. Frompovich

I must admit, I’ve seen just everything now, especially since I was a registered lobbyist with the U.S. Congress for five years and became familiar with bill language regarding issues concerning human health, self-determination and freedom of choice.

However, a bill was introduced into the U.S. House of Representatives bill hopper which, I think, just may make it onto the all-time-shortest-language-bill-ever list!

The bill is H.R. 899, “Termination of the Department of Education,” was introduced February 7, 2017 by Congressman Thomas  Massie (R-Ky.) and co-sponsors Congressmen Justin Amash (R-Mich.), Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Jody Hice (R-Ga.), Walter Jones (R-N.C.), and Raúl Labrador (R-Idaho).

H.R. 899 uses an “economy of words” consisting of one short line with 7 words and a date in Section 1. Termination of the Department of Education.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Termination of the Department of Education.

The Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2018.  [1]

There you have it!  Short – sweet or not so sweet – but to the point!  How do you feel about it?  Why don’t you let your members of Congress know at https://www.congress.gov/contact-us .

  1. Catherine,

Just my opinion, but I feel many others share it.
Letters, petitions, phone calls, emails, and protesting fall on deaf ears in DC.
These are but pacifiers to allow the feeling we have a voice. If we REALLY protested with millions in the street it would quickly escalate to violence on their part. When faced with REAL opposition, the criminals in DC use brute force because its the only thing they understand. Do I think we should not try because of it?
Absolutely not, because not trying is the only real failure, but we should be wise and know what they will do in advance.
Know your enemy and know yourself.
This will end one of two ways.
    1) It will collapse under the weight of its own corruption. (See Rome)
    2) The people will finally realize that it is not their neighbor that is the enemy but the parasites at the top pitting us against one another in a divide and conquer tactic. The true rule of law over everyone equally will be the only thing to save this republic.

  2. This is a good start in the right direction. Now all we have to do is teach children ‘how’ to think, instead of ‘what to think’. In a generation or two, we may begin undo the damage.

  3. Beware of everything they try to legislate, because every time they create a new law called a “bill” that’s exactly what it is, a bill, and we have to pay for them (they’re more ways to create revenue, and that’s ALL they are) when we don’t comply with it. There are way too many laws now which makes it nearly impossible to do ANYTHING without permission or registration. Everything is illegal now without permission from the fed, and there is no way we can know what the laws even are because there are so many they’d fill up a factory in law books, and they do.

So every time they do something like this just follow the money, cui bono? How can the fed profit by terminating the Dept. of Education? By creating a NEW department in its place that will probably be a combination of other departments which will umbrella them with uniform codes costing us even more money in fines if we don’t comply.

Don’t be surprised when they come up with something like the Department of Transportation, Welfare, Academia, and Technology or some such crap like that, because we’d have to be gigantic twats (pardon) to fall for this type of misdirection and manipulation.

    • >>>There are way too many laws now which makes it nearly impossible to do ANYTHING without permission or registration.<<<< Do you realize every "law" as such is a BILL OF ATTAINDER, and specifically outlawed in every state constitution and Article 1, sec. 9 of the national Constitution? Any attorneys in here? Please contact me at LCharles14@yahoo.com Shouldn't any magistrate be arrested under Title 18, Sec. 241 if they detain me under a BoA?

  4. I will keep it short , just like the wording in this bill. You have my vote.

  5. I hope it is the end of common core and the unholy crowd pushing their agenda onto our children.

  6. Would the taxpayer welcome similar bills for the IRS and the Federal Reserve? How about Homeland Security and TSA?

To bad we can’t have one bill like this for all the unconstitutional depts and agencies.

    • we can. We just don’t have enough US House members who really care about the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Let’s analyze that problem. What was the secret to seeing men like Amash and Massie get elected in their respective districts? What is so difficult about cloning their efforts? Anyone wanting to explore this: LCharles14@yahoo.com Drop me a line.
