FBI Wants you to Believe It Examined 650,000 Emails in 691,000 Seconds

fbi-hillary-clinton-investigation-evidenceBy Claire Bernish

In no surprise to anyone paying even marginal attention, the FBI’s clearing Hillary Clinton of wrongdoing in its briefly reopened investigation — however, the time it took the agency to reach this conclusion is not only bereft of logic and reason, it constitutes the most hubristic of insults to the public’s intelligence.

In just 691,000 seconds from announcement to conclusion, FBI Director James Comey wants you to believe that agents thoroughly examined over 650,000 emails newly ‘discovered’ on Anthony Weiner’s computer — including any threads resulting, as well as all attachments — before deciding Clinton innocent of wrongdoing.

We, the people of this planet, are just not that stupid — nor are we even mildly amused by this farcical bullshit passed off as a credible investigation.

Seriously.

Indeed, the lightning pace of this putative second investigation not only boggles the mind, it forces uneasy questions concerning the true motivation and apparent exceeding necessity to ensure Hillary Clinton walks away scot-free amid rapidly mushrooming evidence of flagrant corruption and mendacious collusion.

Just a cursory comparison of two investigations shows such marked differences it would be impossible not to question legitimacy of the FBI’s findings.

In the summer of 2015, the FBI commenced its first probe into the former secretary of state’s use of a private email server during her tenure in office, after John Giacalone — then Director of the National Security Branch — met with Comey to voice concerns emanating from the Intelligence community about classified information possibly handled carelessly.

For nearly a full year — 365 days, or 31,536,000 seconds — a sizable task force of FBI agents pored over an enormous cache, first comprised of 30,000 emails, but later totaling 44,900 after additional documents not originally handed over by the Clinton camp to the State Department were discovered.

This means — rounding off the rough estimate of one year — the Bureau combed an average of just over 123 documents every day.

While that might seem to be manageable with a slew of investigators on the job, a basic comparison of the two probes proves the literal inanity of the reopened investigation.

Later in the day on October 28, Comey announced the commencement of the secondary probe — albeit to the consternation of current and former officials who felt his telling Congress broke a number of investigatory guidelines, including possibly influencing the outcome of the presidential race.

According to Comey, an additional 650,000 documents located on the computer of Clinton aide Huma Abedin’s now-disgraced and estranged husband Anthony Weiner deserved careful scrutiny for pertinence and relevance to the original investigation of the Democratic nominee.

Public and official speculation predicted a months- or years-long investigation, even with substantial manpower dedicated to the task.

But on Sunday, November 6, in yet another shocker of an announcement from the FBI director, Comey inexplicably declared nothing of relevance to the Clinton investigation — “no new conclusions” — had been revealed in its secondary probe.

This means — again rounding for brevity to eight days the total length of the investigation — FBI agents inspected some 81,250 documents each day.

Granted, both estimates have been averaged and roughened, but only for comparison’s sake — and that contrast doesn’t survive the scantiest litmus test of believability.

Not at all.

Before the naysayers jump in with a there’s no comparison deflection, consider the following points.

Although an algorithm or program combing those documents might indeed retrieve subjects of interest to investigators — keywords, germane subjects, accordant people’s names, and the like — in no way would such technological gatekeepers reveal subtle nuance as has been displayed in emails published by WikiLeaks from Hillary Clinton, campaign chair John Podesta, and the Democratic National Committee.

Such fine gradations of meaning, naturally found in the English language but also purposefully employed to throw off investigators and interlopers, could not possibly be revealed by artificial means — at least not that quickly and particularly not with currently available technologies.

Still not convinced?

Consider that if such technology did indeed exist to that discerning level of scrutiny in our heightened and overarching surveillance and police states, no criminal would ever roam free.

Law enforcement departments and the National Security Agency together have amassed astonishingly voluminous data sets on every person in this country, including through emails and online activities. A technology advanced enough to comb for subtleties in language would home in on criminal behavior and activity with incredible frequency.

And while NSA programs have been revealed to hunt for keywords, there are limits to its effectiveness — no terrorist plot has yet been halted in progress because the intelligence to discover it hasn’t yet solidified to that point.

Technology experts immediately weighed in claiming such technology does indeed exist, is frequently employed, and can do the job perfectly in a mere eight days — no worries.

But, as WikiLeaks rebutted in a number of tweets, it isn’t quite so simple.

How to Disappear Off the Grid Completely (Ad)

Emails between Clinton, her campaign staff, the DNC, and other insiders have proven to be a literal trove of revealing details — including Hillary’s use of the name of aide Huma Abedin as a deflection, and President Obama’s use of a pseudonym to communicate on the private server in an attempt to thwart future investigators.

Programs and algorithms would have to be fed such information, but not all of those pseudonyms were known — and that represents only one such complication.

Even working around the clock, as Comey alleged the FBI did in its second probe, 82,000 documents daily isn’t even worth comparing to the 123 averaged each day in the initial investigation.

So, what are we to believe about the clearing of Hillary Clinton for a second time?

That’s up to you — to each of us — to draw a conclusion.

But to characterize that second investigation as anything other than a charade to placate an irate public would be criminal willful denial of conspicuous evidence — criminal willful denial that the utter bullshit the FBI just brazenly served the American people doesn’t somehow stink.

  1. I think we’re f-ed IF Comey does nOT have plans to get her on the Foundation. I knew we were whn OBAMA came out in support of Comey. BIG RED FLAG for me. I knew what would be next

    • Not even taking into account that repulsive “thing” Barry Sotero encouraged illegals to vote. What baffles me is, in this exceptional nation bulging with heroes hither and yon, why have they got literally tens of thousands of our fellow citizens heavily armed, well paid and ready to mow us down should we become, as dual citizen run DHS put it; “Domestic Terrorists”? Wikileaks is slated to release more emails linking those demonic stains to Scalia’s murder. But, in a nation literally filled with non-gender specific politically correct drones, what the hells the point?

  2. Federal Bank of Impunity

  3. WikiLeaks has an agenda to prevent Clinton from being elected, so I don’t believe anything they say about the emails. But it’s a mistake to assume the emails on the Weiner laptop can’t be culled quickly. The obvious things to sort out are these: (1) How many of these emails came from Hillary? (2) How many of those are duplicates of emails already reviewed before Comey’s July announcement? (3) How many of the rest of the ones from Hillary bore classified markings? (4) And how many of the others (from Hillary, not marked classified and not duplicates) are there? (5) If the latter number is small, how many of them were clearly about non-governmental things? In my email program, I could get steps 1, 3 and 4 done on my computer in half an hour. Step 2 is done with a simple comparison program — another ten minutes. That leaves step 5, examining the text manually. Reports are that indeed the FBI found that the number of step 5 emails was small. That means taking nine days to review that small number manually is not incredible. So if you want to be angry and start a crusade over something, this is not the right issue. You’d have better odds with a trial of Hillary for witchcraft.

    • Nonsense. The issue of course is that the the US Government is compromised. DOJ, FBI, WH, Senate, State Dept and so on. I believe everything Wikileaks says and their sources are impeccable, have died to bring us truth and no one has been able to prove they are not real and true. Nice try.

      • In addition, it’s been SHOWN she lied to congress, (perjury), knew weenee was soliciting children, (accessory before/during/after and as Gowdy stated, when dealing with sensitive info, “intent” isn’t all inclusive, she was grossly negligent. Grotesque too, (sarcasm).
In a comment above someone stated we are f**ked. That, in my book, is pretty succinct and w/o lubricant.

        • Allow me to expound on that: w/o lubricant, and with sand and metal shavings added….

          • ROFL! OW!
I understand the gravity of the situation but I couldn’t help myself, btw, thanks so much for giving my wife and me a good laugh before bed!

        • Yup, and Trump lied about Trump University (it is illegal to call yourself a university without certification, just as it is illegal to call yourself a doctor) and to the Pakistani laborers in Dubai that he promised $3 a hour, loan them money to leave their families and come to work in the 110 degree heat after a 4 hr commute each day.

They came because at $3, they could pay off their debt, and work and save and then go home. But, their passports were taken away by the Trump Company, and they cannot get them back because they cannot pay back the debt, they cannot leave: they are slaves, based on lies told. Trump defends this slave labor by saying “I didn’t hire them.”
The fish rots from the head.

Most of Trump’s criticism (minus his crude insults) is right; most of Clinton’s criticism of Trump is right: both are evil. Protest evil by voting for Dr. Stein and build the movement for change. To vote evil is to be complicit; to protest is to use your free speech/vote to say NO to lies and evil. Join us.

Agree but the banksters would never allow Dr Stein just as they didn’t allow Dr Ron Paul.

          • If the people suddenly found a way to drive truth and justice to the heart of this government, like a stake through the heart of a blood-sucking vampire, D.C. would be a virtual ghost town and there would be no one left to destroy the world while waving the flag and screaming “God Bless the U.S.A. Best all learn Yiddish and get your free, no cost copy of the seven Noahide Laws. We’re “forked”.

          • DC, like the media, is corporate control. This is corporate fascism, for which the remedy is democracy. Yiddish is the language of the common people, not the elites. The elites speak corporatese.

      • “The truth is the enemy of the state.” Joseph Goebbels,Nazi Minister of Propaganda.

“In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act ..” George Orwell, lifelong socialist and satirist of totalitarian government.

Those who tell the truth are treated as enemies by the state….and cursed by the rightwing dipshits on activist post.

    • Keep the bigger prize in sight…Her corrupt use of her foundation easier to prove

      • Actually much more difficult. Allowing staff to help make appointments for people, especially donors to a charity, is no kind of crime. If it was, half the Congress would be locked up.

    • We all have an agenda to prevent WWIII,which Clinton is pushing, calling Putin “a new Hitler” and supporting NATO sabre rattling(actually nuke rattling) at the Russian Border.

Trump, of course, is a loose cannon….so that leaves Dr.Stein as a protest and keeping the peace and environmental and social/racial justice issues alive, in order to build future victories.

She has supported policies which have killed 1.5 million in Iraq, pushed for War in Ukraine (ie coup which attacks Russian ethnics), Libya (the richest, most advanced nation in Africa), Syria, etc etc.

Too much blood. Trump: total liar. Clinton: war monger. If you want a future, protest now and build for an alternative future. All protests start small and are mocked….and then succeed. Join us now.

The second investigation was “launched” to avert the resignation of over 100 FBI agents disgruntled with Comey and if it was planned to do nothing, what I suspect, was the November’s surprise for Trump, once there was no time to launch the massive resignation of agents before the election. Nevertheless that is not credible the review of 650,000 e-mails in 691,000 seconds there is additional information not related to them: the bribe given to McCabe, deputy director at the tune of $675,000, the printing of classified information by maid Mariana Santos and the computer of Huma Abedin at the hands of Anthony Weider. I think that with Hillary, Comey must be sent to prison for conspiracy to deceive the public in a federal investigation, ie obstruction of justice..

  5. I googled “email” and in .53 seconds got 7.2 million responses.

Scanning software is very very fast.

    • You must realize that Google has one of the best search engines – far better than the FBI has. Only NSA has a better one.

      • You are missing the point, Herbert. IF the FBI search engine were only 10% as fast as Google, it could do the job.

What is your source that FBI search engine is far worse than Google?

        • At this point does it really matter? – Hillery Clinton

          • You are missing the point: Trump zealots are claiming the FBI is in the tank for Clinton and only pretending it actually scanned all the emails…….as it is, many claim, impossible. So the perception has a political effect.

As for Clinton, first background: both Dems and Republicans know that Benghazi was an illegal weapons operation to Syria. That is why the CIA was close to the “diplomatic facility: and after the assault started, they came (less than mile away) and chose not to engage. This was there own decision. They went back to their compound, and that is where two mercenaries were killed as they manned machine guns on the roof mowing down LIbyans. The other two died from smoke inhalation, the Ambassor at the hospital. Now, what the motive for the assault?

Was it that video that had caused riots in Egypt and other nations. That would be a logical guess, as the video was seen as a provocation and insult. That would make sense. But no one said the roots were the video, as clearly the underlying motive is hatred of US policy. That’s what bin Laden said, and it is indisputably true.

At the time, no one was certain but there was no reason NOT to think a video that had caused riots in several other nations might be happening in
Benghazi as well: call it a hypothesis based on a pattern in the same time period.

Clinton, fed up (disclosure: I hate Clinton but love the truth),at being badgered (she as asked the same question for a 3d time after answering it twice:
“Clinton: “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided that they’d they go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make? It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this, but the fact is that people were trying in real time to get to the best information. The IC has a process, I understand, going with the other committees to explain how these talking points came out. But you know, to be clear, it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice,”

This was taken out of context to make her look callous, but if you read it carefully, you will see that she is focused on the fact of the assault and the deaths and how to prevent it,whatever the immediate cause.

It’s painful for someone like me who distrusts and dislikes Clinton to have to defend her against obvious lies. IF the right were not so dishonest, those of us on the Left would spend the time do exposing distortions and spend it criticizing Clinton.

So it’s just stupid: the real scandal both parties are too dishonest to disclose (and thus it is all just partisan political theater, manipulating puppets to deceive the public) is that the US was illegally and secretly smuggling weapons to terrorists in Syria. The fake scandal is used to cover up high crimes which both parties supported. It’s juke puppet shows for the gullible, meant to distract and prevent the truth, which all informed people are aware of, from getting down to the “poorly educated.”

Aaron Klein, “The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don’t Want You to Know.”

Klein asserts the arms-to-rebels scheme that ran through Benghazi “might amount to the Fast and Furious of the Middle East, the Iran-Contra of the Obama administration.”

real-beghaziA key issue is that until the end of April 2013, the White House had repeatedly denied it was involved in helping to arm the Syrian rebels. However, “The REAL Benghazi Story” cites evidence of arms transfers throughout the summer of 2012, escalating with a major shipment from Libya to Turkey just days prior to the Sept. 11 attack.

It’s finally here: “The REAL Benghazi Story: What the White House and Hillary Don’t Want You to Know.” Get it now at the WND Superstore!

            (image: http://mobile.wnd.com/files/2014/09/real-beghazi.jpg)

The book finds members of the 17th of February Martyrs Brigade, a militia linked to the Ansar al-Sharia terrorist organization, may have been used as cut outs to aid in the weapons transfers to Syrian rebels.

Perplexingly, armed members of the Martyrs Brigade were hired by the State Department to provide internal “security” at the U.S. special mission.

            Stevens an ‘arms dealer’?

According to information cited by Klein, Stevens served less as a diplomat and more as an arms dealer and intelligence coordinator for assistance to the so-called Arab Spring, with particular emphasis on the Syrian rebels.” globalresearch

To find more evidence, google Benghazi gun smuggling.

If that’s not bad enough (more secret illegal giving weapons to terrorists), Trump wants to bomb ISIS,which is hold up in cities shielded by millions of citizens: he wants to nuke them, which would kill hundreds of thousands of women children and bring the whole world against us and risk nuclear conflict with Russia and Pakistan.

Two evil candidates the majority do not like or trust: the death of democracy, after a long illness, whoever wins tomorrow. Join the protest and build for the future by voting for Dr.Stein, a woman of courage (arrested 4 times for protesting) and uncorrupted, keeping alive the idea of peace and environmental and social justice.

Don’t endorse the evil ones; protest and keep hopes for a different future alive.
All protests start small and are mocked……and when they succeed, it is because over time, most people who mocked them come to agree: this is the power of non-violent resistance, the only strategy that works.

          • Herbert Dorsey | November 8, 2016 at 11:29 am |

O.K. your informative post deserves a reply. My sources inform me that the attack was caused by the Turkish MIT. Clinton and Petraus had organized a gun running operation in Bengazi, shipping weapons captured from the Libyan army to Turkey to be supplied to the anti Assad forces and then smuggled into Syria. Somehow, U.S. made stinger missiles ended up in this mix of weapons which found their way into Afghanistan and were used to down a U.S. helicopter. Alarm bells were set off and a large attempt was made to buy back these stinger missiles from the anti Assad forces, but were refused. This created animosity between CIA and MIT. Hence the raid on the highly illegal gun running operation. Clinton wanted all evidence destroyed so delayed sending help. The book “CIA: Crime Incorporated of America” documents that Hillary, Bill Clinton and Barak Obama are all “deep cover CIA agents and that the CIA has long used Al Qaeda as their own covert Muslim army to destabilize targeted nations like Libya and Syria.

  6. James Comey decided he’s rather toss his reputation, integrity, ethics, and career in the trash than be found “suicided” is all

  7. This whole political drama is a real life “House of Cards” movie. The DOJ is controlled by the White House and is far from a disinterested party. And the DOJ has control over the FBI. The Chief of the NYPD claims they have enough evidence to “put Hillary Clinton away for life.” We have Hillary’s husband meeting with the head of the DOJ on a plane at Sky Harbor airport. And we have Obama throwing his wholehearted support behind Hillary, who Trump is claiming is corrupt as they come. Wow, what a script, especially when one knows the characters!

  8. Terry 'Kaialoha' Ridge | November 8, 2016 at 1:57 am |

There’s this little thing called ‘search function’ that if key words or phrases are entered can tell you in literally seconds how many and where those items are located. IN SECONDS! With a well organized search I have NO DOUBT perusing those documents in the time they say is entirely possible!

  9. Comey has proven himself a coward and in collusion. Step down Comey and take that AG with you.
I hope the entire agency walks.
Comey you are Despicable so is your boss.

  10. Are people really this braindead when it comes to email and technology? It takes minutes, not even hours, to sort through and filter millions of emails. They didn’t have to read a single one of them, they only had to hash them against the emails they already investigated from the server to see if they were all the same. Minutes, not hours.

  11. what it means is that The Rule Of Law is a cruel joke that has been cunningly, meanly, and criminally played out upon millions of American citizens whose lives have been destroyed, oftentimes without even a dubious conviction. Remember, among all the other abominable practises of “law enforcement” in America today, when cops approach you based upon nothing more than “suspicion”, and state after state is granting them the ability to do just that, requiring you to comply in various intrusive ways.

  12. They took the emails to the Cern Particle Collider, stopped the movement of time, studied all the emails for the equivalent of 5 years, then turned the movement of time back on. Duck soup.

  13. Congressmen don’t read anything lengthy either. They blame their page boys and girls for their own ignorance.
