“How was your water? Was it clean?” Gov Snyder Chased Out Of Restaurant By Angry Residents

Governor Rick Snyder is surely one of the most hated people in Flint, if not the entire state of Michigan, and it is a surprise that he can actually go out anywhere in public without being heckled. In fact, there was just an incident reported last week where he was chased out of a restaurant with residents who were angry about the part he played in the city’s current water crisis.

At the Old Town Tavern on Liberty Street, which is just down the street from the governor’s new condo, Snyder was unable to finish his meal because of his public infamy.

According to Ann Arbor resident, Laura Tanner, someone in the restaurant yelled “Snyder, you f*** up!” which alerted everyone else in the bar that the governor was there.

As Snyder was getting up to leave, Tanner yelled to him “How was your water? Was it clean?”

Tanner later told MLive that, “He was just eating his meal, drinking fresh water, like he didn’t have a care in the world, and this was my chance to tell him what I think of him. I don’t know how he sleeps at night, to be honest.”

MLive later called the restaurant and spoke with an employee who said that the governor was in fact there and was forced to leave as he was being yelled at by other customers.

300Tanner said that some of the patrons in the bar seemed hesitant or afraid to say anything.

“He almost got away without getting noticed. They treated him just like they would any other customer,” she said, adding that, “Really, I was shocked by the hesitancy of anyone else, to say anything. Nobody else was saying anything.”

“When he got up to leave, honestly, I just felt like I had, to say something, so I stood up,” she said.

She said that the governor did his best to ignore his hecklers as he made his way out of the restaurant.

As we reported last month, the city’s government continues to charge people for the poison water, threatening to foreclose their home or take their children if they refuse to pay. Michigan law states that parents are neglectful if they do not have running water in their home, and if they choose not to pay for the water they can’t even drink, then they could be guilty of child endangerment. Flint resident, Melissa Mays, says that some residents have already received similar threats from the government if they refuse to pay their bills.

Flint residents have recently filed two class action lawsuits calling for all water bills since April of 2014 to be considered null and void because of the fact that the water was poisonous.

While its good he was heckled and had to leave you were entirely too easy on him. He deserves much worse.

It is a sad truth that Americans need to resort to violence in order to really change things. We don’t have a representative government nor do we have a democracy. When that is how it is then it is a tyranny and violence is our only solution left.

      • Brett

Well said, David. And the political landscape is the same with ALL USA allies too!

Fighting is ingrained in males when injustice is apparent.

      Time for Revolution!
      Bernie for President!

Your revolution didn’t last long did it.

      • Mike

Bernie for President? Are you retarded? We’re already headed down the communism/socialism path…he would just be the linchpin. Then again, it will be just as bad under any other slave driver, er, “president.”

    • the man

YEAH! Revolution through voting! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Name one successful revolution that came through voting. Go on, I’ll wait.

      • Name one successful political revolution.

        • the man

For whom? The elite or the peasants? Ba-DUM TSHHHH

          • Good point. After I wrote that comment, I was thinking I should have been more specific about what ‘successful’ actually means.
As you know, changing out government affects the State either not at all, or favorably. The State welcomes the violence.

Sounds as if the city administration, with support of the governor, are practicing slow genocide on the poverty level residents of Flint.
Why has one of the health or child protective agencies of the USGov not become involved?

  • tom

To an outsider the reason why US politicians can do what they do is that they are not accountable to the people who voted them into office . This has been a very discernible feature of American politics these many years . Politicians who are obviously in the pay of major companies . in the pay of minority sects . and a discernible lack of moral and ethical standards . and finally [ As in all Western societies ] the stupidity of the voters !!. who continue to vote these shallow creatures into office . The record of their stupidity is a daunting list . Clinton /Bush / Obama and not content with voting them in once they compound their stupidity by giving them second terms .Wake up and rise up Americans . your country is the most hated on the earth . It is led into wars by midgets and it is a sad thing to see !!

    • PB

They are only accountable to those who paid there way into Office. Its about more than just major companies, you just aren’t allowed to name the worst corruptors in case they get “offended”.

I dont blame America, Tom. However im a little broad minded than most people I know. Im also a truther and aware of the evil elite that tend to operate out of the worlds super power. However, I could imagine how hard it would be on good American folk who know and understand the truth. Dont forget, the gov here in Australia is right behind the US gov and the NWO agenda. We are all in this together, friend.

She probably loves her mayor and city council though. How long has that douchebag been governor? How long has their water been poisoned? How long have the feds been pumping fluoride into everyone’s water. It’s all smoke and mirrors designed to distract and divide.

  • raymeejrs

Why do these idiots keep attacking the Governer on this..It is clear that this was put in motion and in place by the democrat Mayor and city council a full three months before Snyder took office..This whole situation is awful and tragic but instead of helping the people they are using it to destroy another republican..Again he DID NOT CAUSE THIS CRISIS…The democrats in Flynt did,and now are scott free

  • thumbsdownGov

a governor can be impeached. Flint Mi, might want to find a Governor w/ a plan.

  • Sapphire Jones

He should be publicly rebuked like that everywhere he goes. Speak truth to power! Make it awkward and uncomfortable for him to go anywhere. Follow him around chanting “Shame” like in Game of Thrones!

    • Brett

      I like that idea!
