WTF America? 2015 Black Friday Videos Show How the US Has Lost Its Humanity

Before their Thanksgiving dinners could settle, many Americans left their family atmospheres and descended upon department stores and big box retailers across the country to partake in rampant and apparently violent consumerism.

Mindless shoppers aren’t even getting the great discounts they cherish since retailers artificially inflate prices of goods in the months before the sales in order to make the subsequent discounts look good in comparison. Also, even if shoppers do manage to grab some genuine discounts, they will invariably buy another product that has a 98 percent markup value.

If we take a step back to observe this downright insanity, it is getting difficult to differentiate between Frank Darabont’s Walking Dead and Black Friday shoppers.

As the shopping began late Thursday night, so did the disgusting display savagery and greed.

The first video to surface shows a grown woman attacking a child. As mindless zombie customers tumble over shopping displays to grab as many rice cookers as the can, one woman becomes angry at another woman who is carrying three rice cookers. The woman then charges her child and yanks one of the three rice cookers this child’s mother apparently needed from the toddler.

When the mom becomes angry, she screams, “Why are you being so oppressive?! You’re scaring me!”

For a rice cooker….

In the next video, a Walmart worker couldn’t wait to join in on the consumerism violence, so she began fighting with a customer. Talk about customer service, perhaps they should move this employee to the front of the store next year to greet the stampede.

The next video shows a man jumping over the refrigeration containers in what looks like an attempt to flee a mass shooter. But this man was not escaping anyone, he was apparently so captivated with the idea of cheap DVDs on the other side of that Jimmy Dean pork, that he risked life and limb to make it there. This guy is the epitome of the of the acronym SMH.

Nothing says ‘Happy Holidays’ quite like a human stampede through Mall doors, and nothing says ‘love thy neighbor’ quite like assaulting others during said stampede.

Just as we started regaining faith in humanity, after last year’s Black Friday idiocy, here it comes again. The mindset that it takes to enact violence against another person in an attempt to purchase a cheap television is flabbergasting.

In the video below, one crazed Walmart shopper becomes so consumed by the price of these TVs that he punches a cop in the face. Not only will this person not get his TV, but he is likely facing felony assault on a police officer charge. After watching the video, we are left wondering what the hell this man was thinking.

The sad thing is that the mass hysteria and collective insanity seem to be contagious, and America’s consumerism sickness has spread to the UK. Scenes from London stores resembled scenes from World War Z, only the zombies weren’t after other people, they were trying to grab discount coffee makers and televisions.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with buying things, especially inexpensive things as free trade is what raises the quality of life for everyone. However, watching others trample each other over a Blu-ray player while simultaneously being trampled by their rulers in Washington DC is a telling sign of things to come.

Amazingly enough, even with the countless videos acting as a mirror and showing the horrid nature of this human behavior, it continues every year.

If Americans got as upset over the crimes of their government as they do over cheap plastic goods with built-in obsolescence, we would have colonized Mars by now.

  1. Anyone notice the ethnic makeup of most of the holiday shoppers?

  2. Wow! Some people can’t say in a whole book what you’ve said here.

  3. Retailers whipping up frenzy among the stupid a time honored tradition. It is sad to see so many mentally deficient people in the world SMH

  4. BanishedJester – Your comments about “down to the level of animals”, animal behavior, and animalistic tendecies, are an insult to animals, who never behave like thus!

  5. That’s right, some of these people are little better than savages. I wouldn’t be caught DEAD at such an event. You know something is “off” when Walmart puts up Christmas decorations the day after Halloween.

  6. Future generations will see us and think: Our ancestors were so stupid!

  7. What we Don’t see are the thousands times more videos (or events) in which NOTHING like this takes place. I went to Wal Mart in my town after Thanksgiving dinner, not to shop (didn’t buy a thing) but to watch and observer behaviour. Did the same thing on ‘Black Friday’ morning. Nothing. NO stampede. No pushing, shoving, rudeness…just normal everyday shopping.

One must ask oneself WHY are these types of videos pushed onto the public awareness. What is to be gained? So we know there are idiots out there? Did we not already know this?

How about POSITIVE videos showing orderly shopping on Black Friday? Does ‘normal, boring’, ‘sedate’ video not sell? And what does THAT say about the viewers? Us?

  8. this is why I never go holiday shopping…;)
