Hillary Clinton’s Rabid Anti-Gun Obsession

gun rights

By Brandon Turbeville

Hillary Clinton has long been a rabid anti-gun fanatic. Stemming back from her years in her husband’s abysmal administration where she helped promote the passage of the infamous freedom-crushing Brady Bill to her 2016 presidential campaign, Clinton has made the elimination of self-defense, gun rights, buttress against unwarranted government encroachment, and the Second Amendment a hallmark of her stance.

For instance, as NY Senator in 2004, Clinton Voted NO on S.1805,[1] the “Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act,” a bill that would have prohibited lawsuits against gun manufacturers for gun violence.[2]

In 2005, Clinton voted NO[3] on the “Protection of Lawful Commerce Act,” a similar bill that was eventually passed into law.[4]

In 2006, Clinton voted against the Vitter Amendment, an amendment to the Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act of 2006, which sought to “prohibit the confiscation of a firearm during an emergency or major disaster if the possession of such firearm is not prohibited under Federal or State law.” The amendment passed into law despite Clinton’s best efforts.[5]

But while she was not faced with the gun issue for much of her tenure as NY Senator, her public statements are very clear.

In August of 2000, Clinton signed on the “Hyde Park Declaration,” a Manifesto entitled “A New Agenda For A New Decade,” where the goals of the manifesto were to toughen gun control laws and “require smart gun technology.”[6]

Consider also her statement in her book It Takes A Village,

The first step is to take weapons off the streets and to put more police on them. The Brady Bill, which my husband signed into law in 1995, imposes a 5-day waiting period for gun purchases, time enough for authorities to check out a buyer’s record and for the buyer to cool down about any conflict he might have intended the gun to resolve. Since it was enacted, more than 40,000 people with criminal records have been prevented from buying guns. The 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act banned 19 types of military-style assault weapons whose only purpose is to kill people.

As part of a “zero tolerance” policy for weapons, drugs, and other threats to the safety of teachers and students, the President signed an executive order decreeing that any student who comes to school with a gun will be expelled and punished as a condition of federal aid.[7]

Later, in 1999, Clinton continued to push fear to High School students where she told a high school class that they should socially ostracize households who own guns.

Q: What actions can students take to help gun control further?

A: Young people, especially teenagers, [should pledge] to not give any child unsupervised access to a firearm; not to go into homes, or let your younger siblings go into homes where you know guns are and are not safely stored and taken care of. You guys are going to a party, make sure there are no guns around. If you own a gun or you know people who do, make sure it’s locked up and stored without the ammunition.[8]

She continued by addressing gun owners and suggested that they could protect children by storing their weapons in a way that would make it impossible to actually use them in a way that might protect their children.

If you own a gun… make sure it’s locked up and stored without the ammunition. In fact, make it stored where the ammunition is stored separately. We’ve made some progress in the last several years with the Brady Bill and some of the bans on assault weapons, but we have a lot of work to do.[9]

In her remarks to the NEA in 1999, Clinton once again attacked guns by attempting to portray America as a land where children roam free on the streets with six-shooters on their hips. She said,

We have to do everything possible to keep guns out of the hands of children, and we need to stand firm on behalf of the sensible gun control legislation that passed the Senate and then was watered down in the House. It does not make sense for us at this point in our history to turn our backs on the reality that there are too many guns and too many children have access to those guns-and we have to act to prevent that.[10]

Deciding to upgrade (or downgrade) to terrorizing Middle School students about guns, Hillary stated to the South Side Middle School in in Nassau County in 1999, “We will not make progress on a sensible gun control agenda unless the entire American public gets behind it. It is really important for each of you [kids] to make sure you stay away from guns. If you have guns in your home, tell your parents to keep them away from you and your friends and your little brothers and sisters.”[11]

In June 2000, Hillary Clinton voiced her support for a draconian bill that would have made Stalin nod in approval. The bill would have required anyone who was seeking to purchase a gun to obtain a state-issued photo gun license in order to do so. In other words, gun licensing.

In regards to that bill, Clinton stated, “I stand in support of this common-sense legislation to license everyone who wishes to purchase a gun.”[12] Going beyond even that, Clinton added, “I also believe that every new handgun sale or transfer should be registered in a national registry.”[13]

In her 2003 book, A Living History, Clinton referred to the Columbine shooting as a crisis that she and her husband would not allow to go to waste in regards to gun control. She wrote,

A month after the Columbine shootings, Bill & I went to Littleton Colorado to visit with the families of victims & survivors. The Columbine tragedy was not the first, nor the last, episode involving gun violence at an American high school. But it ignited a call for more federal action to keep guns out of the hands of the violent, troubled and young–a lethal combination. Bill and I announced a proposal to raise the legal age of handgun ownership to 21, and limit purchases of handguns to one per month.[14]

In a 2008 Presidential debate in Las Vegas, Clinton trumped up the nonsensical line that police deaths were going up because of the lapse of the assault weapons ban and that “bad guys” (note the term “bad guys” as if talking to children) now had assault weapons. Clinton, of course, blamed guns. She stated,

I am against illegal guns, and illegal guns are the cause of so much death and injury in our country. I also am a political realist and I understand that the political winds are very powerful against doing enough to try to get guns off the street, get them out of the hands of young people. I don’t want the federal government preempting states and cities like New York that have very specific problems. We need to have a registry that really works with good information about people who are felons, people who have been committed to mental institutions. We need to make sure that that information is in a timely manner, both collected and presented. We do need to crack down on illegal gun dealers. This is something that I would like to see more of. We need to enforce the laws that we have on the books. I would also work to reinstate the assault weapons ban. We now have, once again, police deaths going up around the country, and in large measure because bad guys now have assault weapons again.[15]

As is typical for Clinton, she has tried to weasel around the fact that she is a notorious gun-grabber who is dedicated to total disarmament. While attempting to bob and weave during another Presidential debate in 2008, she was forced to admit that she supports the DC gun ban and the draconian and unconstitutional gun laws of New York City. The discussion was as follows:

Q: Do you support the DC handgun ban?

A: I want to give local communities the authority over determining how to keep their citizens safe. This case you’re referring to is before the Supreme Court.

Q: But what do you support?

A: I support sensible regulation that is consistent with the constitutional right to own and bear arms.

Q: Is the DC ban consistent with that right?

A: I think a total ban, with no exceptions under any circumstances, might be found by the court not to be. But DC or anybody else [should be able to] come up with sensible regulations to protect their people.

Q: But do you still favor licensing and registration of handguns?

A: What I favor is what works in NY. We have one set of rules in NYC and a totally different set of rules in the rest of the state. What might work in NYC is certainly not going to work in Montana. So, for the federal government to be having any kind of blanket rules that they’re going to try to impose, I think doesn’t make sense.[16]

Of course, the Federal government already has a blanket rule – the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights, however, have never got in Clinton’s way before.

One of her more famous and recent diatribes against gun ownership was made in 2014 at the National Behavioral Health Conference, when she stated that “We’ve got to rein in what has become an almost article of faith that anybody can have a gun anywhere, anytime,” she said. “And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people.”[17]

During a CNN Town Hall Meeting, Clinton compared gun-owners to terrorists and a violence-prone minority. She stated that “We cannot let a minority of people — and that’s what it is, it is a minority of people — hold a viewpoint that terrorizes the majority of people.” She also said “We’re going to have to do a better job protecting the vast majority of our citizens, including our children, from that very, very, very small group that is unfortunately prone to violence and now with automatic weapons can wreak so much more violence than they ever could have before.[18] [19]

Clinton’s fanaticism seems to have only grown stronger in recent months. As her 2016 campaign kicks into high gear, Clinton has made it clear that she will be attacking the Second Amendment head on. As she told a crowd in Iowa in early July, “I’m going to speak out against the uncontrollable use of guns in our country because I believe we can do better.”[20]

She had told a crowd in New Hampshire only a few days earlier, “We have to take on the gun lobby. . . . This is a controversial issue. I am well aware of that. But I think it is the height of irresponsibility not to talk about it.”[21]

Clinton, while leaving a trail of smoke and mirrors behind her on virtually every issue has been consistent on only two – war and gun control. With that in mind, any claims by a woman who so vociferously supported every war she has had the opportunity to support regarding her concern the lives of innocent people should be immediately dismissed. Clinton has earned her place among the mass murderers of the U.S. government and eliminating gun ownership will likely put her in a position to march her psychopathic trail of tears even further.

While Clinton may finally have found the gift of consistency on this issue, there is no room for the consistency of tyranny and oppression. Hitlery’s obsession with gun control ranks as yet one more reason that Hillary Clinton should never be president.

  1. Hillary is wrong and a liar. I am not a criminal and I did not get a gun illegally. Hillary still lumps the criminal and the good person that wants to hunt or protect himself from the criminal. I have heard all of these lies before from other left wing people. Doing like Australia and gun confiscation will not work here, why compare one country with another. We are different in that we have the second amendment. If the founding fathers heard this from Hillary, what do you think they would do in this time in our history?

    • She said not letting criminals get guns legally …and did you get a gun then where do you live with all these criminals…you should move. ..
just to let you know Canada has the most guns on the planet per capita 100 gun murders a year. …USA 13000…human life must not mean much. …

  2. Any attempted confiscation of lawfully owned firearms by the states and/or government will trigger (no pun intended) a second civil war.The streets will run red with the blood of patriots and tyrants (and the tyrant’s lackeys). Molon Labe.

  3. Please quit arguing the knats out there ? Disarmament is the only gun issue you should be concerned with as that’s how we’ll stave off complete tyranny . Hillary is a CFR member of long standing
and the media of any worth is too . They are smoothing out her path to the Whor-err.. White House to try and keep the destruction of the infrastructure and collateral damage to a minimum. If ANY of these T.V. clowns you see are anywhere near these orgs , you are considered their cattle and sheep to be sheared .
The American sheep are so blinded and asleep that Gengis Kahn could get in office if he got on T.V. with millions to spend ? I am of the opinion that this crop of Boobus Americanus deserves no liberty and the Constitution . For all of our sakes perhaps a catalyst will intervene to change the priorities of our nation as a people before they are working just for food ?

    • And what of the growing majority who do deserve liberty and the Constitution, Herman? Do you toss them out with the idiotic sheep like someone who’d toss out the baby with the bath water? In this case, it’s best to break the USSA up into regions who want to retain the Constitution and the rights and liberties it guarantees and regions who don’t .. that way, the freedom-loving Constitionalists won’t have to suffer along with the pathetic crop of Boobus Americanus .. just let the Boobus Americanus crowd pay the consequences of their utter stupidity and apathy.

      • Well Eileen I put my actions , time , and money where my mouth is .
I quit chasing the almighty dollar and the bent on materialism . I joined a local food bank four years ago and redoubled my efforts in community service above what I was already involved in . Granted , after retiring from the military and ruining my health to amass a 1.5 million dollar retirement account with my wife , I got to helplessly see it vaporize and go to the banksters in seven days time .
I got a reality check that the great retirement dream and goal was a mirage . I now know our chief enemy is ignorance so I started following the money and watching who gains from our predicament . I am all in creating a local logistics force that operates with no gov. money and directives . I then uncovered the knowledge and am helping churches and other orgs get out of the 501c-3 trap that empowers the alphabet agencies looking to take them down .
Also am sponsoring a seminar on here soon that teaches local activist and aspiring community office seekers of integrity to tear apart the city and county CAFR’s ( Comprehensive Annual Finance Reports ) and look at the government sponsored enterprise sections to find the millions in cash squirreled away in investment funds few ever hear of . Aunt Betty on a fixed income getting kicked off her property for taxation will like to know what to beat the Mayoral staff up with when they scream broke ?
I have more but the point is relationships and dispelling the fear and intimidation that freezes people in fear and makes them say ” Who can make war with the beast !? ” Well we can and its high time we get back that can do spirit that solidified us as Americans . Obama isn’t a big part of our problem but the very population themselves that have allowed through inaction , apathy , and selfishness this appalling state of affairs ?
I’m sure your a good person Eileen but if the shoe fits where or educate me the better ? Good evening .

        • There go again blaming the population. ..and you lost 1.5 million dollars in a week..confused

        • I salute you, Herman .. you’re a wonderful, spiritual human being. I have a friend whose home I moved into, following the death of my beloved friend, lover and fiance; and she .. like myself .. are senior citizens on fixed incomes. She’s a widow with five pets (three dogs and two cats), whom I help feed and care for.
I’m unsure whether or not you’ve ever heard of Brother Nathanael Kapner and his Foundation; but, I try to help him financially to spread the message of Jesus Christ through articles and videos, as well as trips around this country to preach the Gospels on street corners and around gov’t buildings.
I’m glad you’re able to do what you’re doing, Herman, and my prayers go out to you that you’ll be able to continue your wondrous deeds 🙂

THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND AFFIRMATIONS AND ACCEPT MY AT BEST WEAK PLATITUDES FOR YOUR LOSS .
YEP ! I LISTEN TO AND PASS ON TO THOSE WHO CAN HEAR BRO NATE’S MESSAGE .
PARDON MY RANTS BUT WHEN IT FINALLY GETS TO ME WHERE THE REAL WAR IS BEING FOUGHT AND THE SUBJECTS YOU JUST CAN’T TALK ABOUT WITH MOST FOLKS IT DOES CREATE FRUSTRATION THAT FRANKLY OTHERS SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PUT UP WITH . THE OLD PROVERB OF BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PRAY FOR COMES TO MIND WHEN YOU ARE EXPOSED TO KNOWLEDGE FIRST THAT IS NOT TEMPERED WITH WISDOM . ALL YOU END UP DOING IS TALKING OVER THE HEADS OF THOSE YOU ARE BATTLING TO WAKE UP TO RALLY AROUND TO DEFEAT THIS EVIL AND IMMATURE FRUSTRATION COMES FORTH VIA THE FLESH INSTEAD OF THE SPIRIT . THEN YOU GET IT ABOUT GOD’S TIMING AND THAT YOUR TRYING TO PIERCE A PROTECTIVE VAIL OVER THEIR EYES AND EARS PUT IN PLACE FOR THEIR PROTECTION BY THE FATHER SO IT MAY NOT BE HELD TO THEIR CHARGE FOR WHAT YOUR TELLING THEM .
I AM BY NO MEANS ANYTHING BUT PROOF THAT GOD USES THE FOOLISH THINGS OF THIS EARTH TO DEMONSTRATE HIS MANIFOLD WISDOM .
ANYWAY , THE THUNDER CLAP OF DISCIPLINE HASN’T LIT ME UP AS IT HAS OVER MANY THINGS IN THE PAST AND TILL IT DOES , I FIGURE I’LL JUST CARRY ON CALLING NAMES (BOOBUS AMERICANUS NOT MUCH ELSE ANYMORE) AND POINTING OUT SATAN AND HIS KIDS UNDERWEAR WHEN THEY LET THEIR PANTS DOWN . MARCHING INTO THE ZOO AND SLAPPING THE HEAD GORILLA ISN’T THE SMARTEST THING TO DO BUT IT SURE MAKES THE DEADWOOD IN THE CHURCHES RUN AND WAKES UP THE SLEEPING THERE INTO THE TROUBLE I GOT US INTO ?
EILEEN THANK YOU AND KEEP YOUR EAR AND HEART TO THE SPIRIT AS IT HELPS FOOLS LIKE US TO HEAR CORRECTION FROM A BRO OR SISTER BEFORE ABBA HAS TO BLISTER THE HINDER PARTS OF LIKE KIND KNUCKLEHEADS .
I HAVE STOPPED TO PRAY IN YOUR AND YOUR FRIENDS BEHALF AND I WANT YOU TO EXPECT A RESCUE THAT YOU GUYS KNOW FOR CERTAIN IS FROM THE FATHER IN HIS LOVE FOR YOU THROUGH THE BLOOD OF THE CHRIST .
NO PREDICTIONS HERE FOR ONLY HE AND YOU KNOW IT .
I WOULD AS YOU READ THIS TO REPENT ANYWHERE IF NEEDED AND CURL UP WITH OUR FATHER IN EXCITED EXPECTATION THAT HIS TIMING IS FOR YOU NOW AND PLEASE LOOK ! FOR THAT COMING THANKING HIM FIRST ?
IF I DON’T SEE YOU HERE , I’LL SEE YOU IN THE NEXT AGE . KEEP THIS CONTACT AND LET ME BE ONE TO HEAR ABOUT WHAT HE MANIFESTS FOR YOU . I WILL BE LIFTED UP AT THE NEWS . GOOD NIGHT .

          • Thank you, Herman, for your words of wisdom 🙂 I shall keep them in mind .. and any frustration(s) I may experience, I wash them away with music. Music calms the mind and soul .. and, when I mention music, I mention the mellow ballads and classical music that’s been around for centuries .. not the tripe that’s called music today.
One thing I’m definitely not, Herman, is a prophet .. I leave the prophesies to Jesus, who was (and still is) the best Prophet ever.

    • American sheep, boobus Americanus, you should add amercanus prickus..any other s**tty things you have to say about this country …you are obviously much smarter than the average American. ..move why would stay here if it s**ks so much

  4. The Clintons (as a disease), have more Skeletons rattling around in their closets than a cemetery. I was confused as to what to label the female of this demented duo until I watched that clucking hen on T.V. (after AIPAC had their D.C. boys murder Gadhafi and destroy Libya), “We came – We saw – he died”, (followed with demonic laughter), Then it struck me; that “thing” isn’t human, she’s a succubus. Benghazi only reinforced that opinion. Allowing filth such as she into government has made much clear as to why this nation is circling the drain of extinction.

  5. Regardless of their spin and position as a Key on the Globalist Rhetoric Piano, all of the POTUS RINO and DINO candidates are committed as UN NWO puppets to hack away at the Second Amendment.

We have Bernie doing a more subtle chipping away when he said he supported making existing laws stronger and more enforceable and on Meet The Press said “certain types of guns used to kill people exclusively, not for hunting, should not be sold in the United States of America.” Not for hunting??

America’s founding fathers did not make the right to bear arms follow the most important right of free speech merely so Americans could go pheasant and deer hunting. TPTB need an extremist voice to make a slightly less radical gun grab seem like a reasonable position.

  6. Never happen without a shooting war.

  7. The Clintons and the Obamas are the two most evil pair to hit the shores of America.

  8. Hittlery wants your gun and some.

    • Jesus Christ you all are incredibly obsessed with Hillary. ..you talk about her all the time. ..usually when a lady interests me that much I want to %$#@ her….I understand now. .I’m kind of obsessed with Sarah Palin. ..hillary not my type

  9. no one with a lick of sense will listen to hillary and her ilk…She is apparently someone who has yielded to satan… there is no other reason for her ideas.

  10. Just send keg legs to prison where she belongs and we wont have to worry about her commie views on the second amendment.

  11. of course she’s anti gun… murders always want their victims disarmed!

  12. Give Hillary a taste of both war and gun bans—Send her to fight on the front without any weapons.

  13. no matter she,ll be arrested on emails once she becomes president then she will have to accept impeachment.

  14. guns will travel. no fear from muzzie

  15. The thing that is really disturbing, is the sad fact there are people in the country (Liberals? Socialist? Anti Constitution? ) that don’t think or believe old Shillery and her kind want to take the firearms of law abiding Americans. I have talked (argued) with liberals, read their blogs and comments on many websites denying the fact that their liberal “Gods” want to take the firearms of the American people. The only sane conclusion is that they (liberals) are in denial, liars or are mentally defective and incapable of accepting the fact the people they choose to follow (worship) want to take away firearms from the American citizens. They’re are many many examples of anti American liberals in the government, past and present, that want to take our firearms and have been saying so for years now.

    • I’m a liberal and good thing you didn’t argue with me ..call me a liar, in denial mentally defective etc..since we’re exchanging compliments…you probably never held gun..whatever you are…you’re little coward hiding behind your post talking tough…what have you done for this country besides complain. ..it must be hard for you to find friends or people in common. ..like ignorant, badly educated. .boring. ..obnoxious. ..narrow minded. ..wait no minded. ..my 5 yr old also likes guns. ..they want to regulate guns…so a moron like you won’t blow his little tiny gun off by accident. ..

      • You are funny ALB, I wasn’t talking tough, I was pointing out the fact that liberals deny, lie or are not mentally sound enough to see that their leaders want to take firearms from the law abiding citizens of this country. I’m sorry you are so offended by the truth about liberals. And I noticed at least didn’t deny your “leaders” want to take firearms from the American people, you just used the liberal phrase ” they want to regulate guns” I don’t think we law abiding gun owners need YOUR regulating our 2nd amendment rights. I also enjoyed your name calling based on your assumptions about me when I was pointing out a fact about liberals. It’s ok, I understand your frustration, it must be a very bad feeling willingly giving up your rights so freely to the government and wondering why most of us do not wish to give our rights away for the “security” and belief that mother government will take care of everything for you. And of your 5 year old telly likes guns then take him/her to the range and teach safe handling, respect and the 2nd amendment right to own firearms for protection of their own life and the lives of the ones they love instead of teaching him or her to be scared of guns. Good luck and maybe one day you will realize the importance of ALL of your rights, not just the ones you like.

  16. I just couldn’t bear reading all the article about Hillary. Too sickening. Hey, I wonder if she will dismiss her armed guards if she becomes prez? lol lol lol

  17. The government just doesn’t get it. We are not granted the right to own guns by them, therefore they have no say in the matter. We have a natural right to protect ourselves by whatever means we decide. The constitution describes this natural right, and if the government decides to make it illegal, then it means nothing. They do not have that authority.
This goes for all rights as described in the constitution.

  18. “Since it was enacted, more than 40,000 people with criminal records have been prevented from buying guns.”

And what percentage of those, Hillary, have been prosecuted?

  19. “If you own a gun or you know people who do, make sure it’s locked up and stored without the ammunition.”

I’ll take your diktat a bit more seriously when you instruct your Secret Service guards to be sure that their weapons are not loaded and that the ammunition is stored away separately.

  20. “The bill would have required anyone who was seeking to purchase a gun to obtain a state-issued photo gun license in order to do so. In other words, gun licensing.”

And yet, somehow, being required to show a photo ID in order to vote is the equivalent of modern-day slavery. Or something. Hillary simply does not know the meaning of the phrase “shall not be infringed.”

  21. “I am against illegal guns, and illegal guns are the cause of so much death and injury in our country.”

Really, Hillary? Under the Constitution’s instruction that keeping and bearing arms “shall not be infringed,” exactly how would you decide what is an “illegal” gun? You’d do better to put the responsibility where it lies–on THE INDIVIDUAL INVOLVED, and not the tool they choose to utilize.

    • You don’t know what an illegal gun is
..yah yah guns don’t kill people people kill people …you’re right if the guy who murdered over 30 people at Virginia Tech had a kitchen knife the same thing would have happened ..the bullets didn’t kill the people. ..then what was it…hey you make that statement to one of the murdered students parents. …

  22. “A: I want to give local communities the authority over determining how to keep their citizens safe.”

But you don’t want to give local communities the authority over anything related to how their schools are run, over the voting process, or much of anything else it seems.

  23. “A: I support sensible regulation that is consistent with the constitutional right to own and bear arms.”

And yet everything you support seems to violate the constitutional right to own and bear ams.

  24. Surveillance started under Bush

  25. Hillary doesn’t hate guns, she’s surrounded by loaded guns every minute of every day of her life. She just hates the American people. She doesn’t trust them as far as she can throw them, and the feeling is probably mutual.

  26. Albert go easy on the females or FEMINIST …one day you might meet one ..
